ENB Suggestion

Hello,

 

I just bought a new PC and I am having a hard time trying to find an ENB that suits my system's specifications.

 

These are my specs. Can anyone here suggest what ENB would provide a good performance for my system?

I have to say though, I was in Windhelm and on average I run with the ENB at about 40 FPS, but had massive stutters whenever I was turning. My FPS dropped to 5 and then back to 40. Any idea what might be causing this?

It depends on your setting, weeks and mods used. I can run this on 60 fps and my laptop is not great, but crashes often.

 

Open Skyrim launcher, turn AF and AA off and make your shadows med res. By the was there a storm? Storms drain fps a bit.

I made a couple of tweaks here and there, and my FPS has not really improved. Certainly not as stable as 60fps.

I do have quite a lot of mods running so maybe this is the issue.

I am fairly sure that the lightning mods are the ones that causing the FPS drop. If that is the case, can you recommend another ENB mod?

 

I was thinking of RealLike ENB which supposedly offers great performance.

PPS: Tamriel Reloaded vanilla grass textures replacer (no .esp) + Unique Grasses and Groundcovers gives the most natural flora look. I would pick it over SFO any day and it has much less impact on performance. On top of it I use Grass on Steroids (Goldilocks Edition - Vanilla) with .ini grass size 45 / 55.

Unfortunately you won't get stable 60fps with Tamriel Reloaded Enb with gtx 760. Most enb's cut your original fps by 50-70% depending on preset. There is only couple presets that deliver true extreme performance, however they come at quality cost. You won't get any fancy shaders or other effects. Most users play skyrim with high quality enbs at 30-40fps outdoors. Personally I get 50-60fps (max is a bit higher since I use fps limiter) outdoors with heavy moded skyrim and medium quality enb (GS: Vaerimina) @1080x1920 and that's with 780ti.

Flora overhaul does drain quite the fps.

Vivid Landscapes if it was 2k, change to 1k.

Real clouds also drains fps I used and lost about 5 fps.

Maybe RW2 if was 2k.

Agree. I would replave it with Tamriel Reloaded Flora (normal density) + SkySight Simply Bigger Trees. Much better performance without downgrading your graphics.

I really like Pure Waters. It doesn't edit cells and I haven't notice performance drop. But I realize some may miss the RW2 bobbing effect. Too bad almost no one uploads good screenshots with proper set up showing PW potential.

I think I have finally found what I wanted with the minimum amount of FPS drop: RealLike ENB, Tamriel Reloaded, Skysight and turned off Real Clouds.

 

I get 50-55 FPS in the open world, 60 FPS in dungeons and minimum of 30 FPS during storms/battles/lots of vegetation etc.

 

Just another quick question: saving (whether quicksave or autosave) makes my game stutter. Is there any way to prevent that?

Also turn of depth of effect if you want max.

Look up skyrim plus to lower snow and rain fx.

If the saves make the game stutter the it becames smooth again there is nkthing to worry about at all.
