Like you I thought it was too complicated but nothing else I tried looked good so in the end I decided to give it a go.It's not as bad as it first seems, a little time consuming (you've got to let DynDOLOD do its thing) but the end result looks amazing. You can play with ELFX weather. i experimented with my old Winter Overhaul, problem is, there is no patch for ELFX weather so its raining in the snow. So what mods would conflict? Just make sure Enhanced Landscapes & EL Winter come after them in your load order.BTW I highly recommend using Mod Organiser if you aren't already, you need to set the plugins (esps/esms) in one particular order but have the mods (meshes/textures) load in another order for best results. You've got DynDOLOD and the vanilla billboards from TES5LODGen installed? Also you need the latest version of TESVEdit, older versions don't have the LODGen function built in. So what mods would conflict?All weather mods that don't have a patch, any retextures that overwrite the winter mod and some grass mod will look out of place.
