This mod order is only one of the orders I've used, as the plugins.txt doesn't appear to be staying up to date with what I'm doing. I've done LOOT sortings of my mod order and the problem persists.
I have no actual play issues of any kind, with everything coming out schmick and smooth. I run SSDs and fallout 4 puts barely any strain on my system with even full ultra specs and lots of entitites on screen. Long story short, it is absolutely not a hardware issue.
I added the unlimited time after death mod to see if a manual attempt to load after dying would help, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Sometimes after dying, I can manage to load (maybe 2.5% of the time). I'm trying to figure out what the issue is, as the onset is fairly early and it breaks what is basically (for me) my perfect mod list.
I also checked my save files and none of them were TITAN size.
Please oh great and sacred community, guide me with your starlight wisdom!
Much love.

What do you mean exactly with infinite amount of time?

The so called infnite load bug isn't a load bug as such, in that something happens which makes the V-RAM use get stuck/freeze and the game actually stops loading anything. The load screen and music continue but nothing happens, since the loading has stopped. I haven't had it in a while now, but I started playing windowed in order to be able to quit the game, as full-screen the Ctrl/Alt/Delete option doesn't work...

It just sits on the loading screen with music and as if it was still loading as you said, even changing the written stuff on screen. It just basically stays like that for ages.

I can use Task Manager to get out.

I can quit with ALT + f4 but then I need task manager to close the process since it doesn't actually fully close it, and music keeps going and such.

Any ides? Is there a V-Ram thing? is it an ENB error?

As far as I know, it could be anything. Since the release of FO4 I've got over 8500hrs in the game and tried more than 1200 mods and meanwhile haven't got a clue what could cause it. All I know is that V-RAM use on ocassion freezes, causing your load screen to keep going forever and a day.

I am monitoring my GPU and CPU -including RAM use- through MSI Afterburner on the small display on my keyboard (G19), that's how I know that at some point, both system RAM and V-RAM sometimes get stuck at the amount they're at at that given time, meaning that something went wrong and the game stopped loading the latest save or another cell. I've had it when fast-travelling, when entering buildings. I don't die that often so never had it happen.

I recently started a new game and haven't had it in my former run (lvl258, 900hrs of play) and thus far no problems in my new run...

Yeah, I started a hardcore moded Survival One (as you can see with the mods). I've only got a vault suit and a pistol and I've got to get past a bunch of raiders (1 of them has a shotgun of some sort that keeps 1 hitting me). I don't mind the idea of having to constantly try get around them, but I can't do quick reloads if the game freezes constantly.

I think ENB has a Force V-Ram usage setting or something similar, could that be the cause?

Been using ENBoost since times immemorial and although there could be an issue when switching from V-RAM to system RAM, it doesn't make any sense in my case as I've had the RAM-freeze issue even after I bought an 8GB GPU (had a 3GB card until August).

I have the Maroc preset.

I have two 1080GT's, so V-Ram isn't exactly an issue haha.

I'll experiment with removing the setting.

An ENB preset and ENBoost aren't the same thing. ENBoost isn't needed to run a preset, but is a wrapper or injector tool which adds an ENBlocal.ini that needs to be adapted and which allows the game to use system RAM as V-RAM... Haven't got a clue how well FO4 runs in an SLI and/or CFX configuration, but the second card's V-RAM is disregarded anyway since the cards need to mirror each other (meaning textures need to be loaded into both cards' RAM at the same time). Two 4/6/8GB GPUs is still only 4/6/8GB of usable V-RAM in total...

  • 3 weeks later...

Could it be due to the fact that Fallout 4 isn't on my C drive, and is instead on my G drive SSD

Nope. Incidentaly, the drive that has my games is also the "G" drive... FO4 is simply badly optimised and has trouble with RAM allocation, causing the latter to freeze-up sometimes and the game no longer continues to load...
