Is There Any Reason To Update My Mod in 2017?

So I made a mod two years ago, and then FO4 came out. It killed my whole modding mood and love for Fallout, but that's another story. I'm temporarily back for now though, so I wondered if anyone cared for an update.

Is anyone updating their old mods anymore (I did not take the time to check tbh)?

I had requests for the additions as mentioned here: "companion base across the way, and the underground bunker with a tunnel that led to a sewer hideout / escape 50 yards to the west. I also scrapped more security measures, and multiple features I had no time to complete / incorporate."

If any responses want it, I'll probably drop the update, I just don't want to waste my time tbh. SKYZOO.

I was hugely disappointed with FO4. It's a shooter and sim game, not a role playing game. And if you are like me and aren't thrilled by the sims, the DLC was a huge waste of money. I had to force myself to finish the main quest, and I got about half way through Far Harbor and haven't been able to force myself to finish that. The game just isn't enjoyable for me (I'm a role player). If they continue down the path of combat shooter and sims games, I won't be buying FO5.

I still love Fallout though. FO4 hasn't ruined the entire Fallout series for me. I just ignore FO4 and I've gone back to spending all of my time with FNV. Based on some other comments I've seen, I'm definitely not the only one to do so.

One thing I've noticed about FNV is that the forums here have gone fairly quiet, at least compared to what they used to be. However, a lot of mods that I have made, most of which I never expected to get many downloads for, are all still getting several downloads every week. So there are still a lot of folks playing FNV, they just aren't talking a lot about it.

You may not get many responses here in your thread, but based on my experience, if you update your mod, you'll get a lot of folks downloading and playing the update, They may never post here in this thread or post in the comments section of your mod, but they will play it.

My opinion - definitely, update your mod. You may not get much feedback about it, but some folks will appreciate it.

Thank you, both for your responses.

Jokerine, you know how much I appreciate all of the help you've given me over the years and the love I have for you as a human being and fantastic modder. Congrats on the Staff position, btw . (Iguazu Shopping Center - A Mall in The Strip) Is still one of my top 5 mods to have on hand.

To madmongo, I thank you for the honesty and opening my eyes in light of my extended absence, I needed to know how things were going and you delivered information valuably. (Your world building tutorial has greatly influenced me and how I approach new projects now, thank you for sharing your knowledge)

I think I will get to work now. Hopefully, an update soon to follow. Cheers folks.

Glad to have you on board! The more the merrier. I for one know that they'll have to pry FNV off my cold, dead hands  Good luck! Remember to hit me up if you need anything
