Skyrim Melee Attack Lag/Bug

Happens to me and im using xbox 1 controller. She swings her sword so slow that i get hit like 5x before she hits them once

I have the exact same problem too but for some reason if I have a staff in my left hand it works perfectly, it's not my mouse, bows, staffs and magic all work fine but all forms of melee don't register if I press quickly.

You mean SkyrimPrefs.ini? Cause Skyrim.ini has no [Controls] line.

i tried both, and it didnt work in SkyrimPrefs, so just go to Skyrim.ini and add

[Controls]

fDualCastChordTime=0.01

at the bottom, it's working so far

correction: it works for like, ten swings and then it broke again

It's still happening in 2021, and is f*#@ing annoying. Nothing like standing in front of Malkoran hitting the button over and over after finally developing a strategy to take him out, and nothing happens but staring him in the face while he destroys you... This is the buggiest game I've ever played. Great game, but at a point, it becomes rather bothersome to the point of closing out of the game between Esbern not talking to anyone, followers randomly disappearing, and not even being able to use your f*#@ing weapon when you hit the button over and over and over.
