i'm Missing Half the River.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm missing half the river. My guess is it's a texture pack problem? I've turned off all the mods in Nexus and it hasn't fixed the issue.

I have a little over 200 mods installed. I'm using LOOT for ordering, and I've used SSEEDIT for cleaning out the dirty edits.

My load order. You'll notice that I'm using Vivid Weathers w/ Real waters 2. I don't think that is the issue though. Maybe it's the static mesh mod? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

I have the same thing in a different spot, over just near Lost Valley Redoubt. I haven't been able to narrow down the cause of it yet, but I did notice that it only appeared sometime after I had updated both Realistic Water Two and Vivid Weathers to their latest versions (RW2 v.1.25 and VW Definitive v2.21).

I also have roughly half of the same mods you do, but most of them were installed before the water was missing in that spot.

I'm still poking around trying to pinpoint the cause of this.

Thanks for the response.

If you can come up with the correct solution, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll do the same.

I posted this issue in the RW2 forum and I was told that the reason I'm having this issue is because I don't have custom pateching. I don't know much about custom patching. I've been looking on Google, YouTube and thisa forum for answers.

I found the issue.

Are you using Immersive Fallen Trees? There is a bug that takes out half the riiver. Either delete the mod or go to the bug report section. A user there has a fix.

Good luck.

Oh hi, sorry for the late reply. No, I don't have Immersive Fallen Trees. My problem was actually with iNeed changing the water in the same location. I found the conflict with xEdit and just made a new patch, that seems to have solved the problem (I had an old patch for the two but it must have become outdated when I updated RW2 last month).

I'm going to try and revive this post because a year after you two had the issue I now have the same missing water textures in the exact same manner except I'm using Realistic waters two and am not using either of the mods that you two had that were conflicting with the cell. I have scoured through all the cells trying to find it and now the internet for about an hour at this point and can't figure it out. Driving me bonkers

Hard to say what your problem is exactly, but the images in the OP look to me like the water level of the cell was changed. Its unfortunately really easy to do accidental edits when working in the creation kit. Check the cell in SSEEdit, look for anything changing the 'XCLW - Water Height' property (in the cell record itself, not under the 'temporary/persistent' levels).

Missing water outside Markarth.

I know I'm adding to a dead thread but I had this problem, too.

Turns out in my cased the faulting mod was (would you believe it) "The Amazing World of Bikini Armour" (TAWOBA) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9547

How? Well, the author left a small Dwemer ruin on the riverbank called Niselft (not very visible from the stables side of the river). Wisely he left the XCLW water height at "Default".

But what he didn't know is that the Update.esm changed the water level at Markarth. And of course Update is a master to TAWOBA.

So in SSEEdit, find the culprit swiftly by running a conflict check on TAWOBA and the main game files it needs. You'll soon spot the XCLW water height values and copy the ones from Update over to TAWOBA and save (always have backups).

Job done.

Hope this will help a future visitor.

An armour mod causing missing water. You can bet that took some finding....

Sorry to necropost, but I'm having the exact problem, using Real Waters 2 on Skyrim SE & half of my river is missing, (not down the middle, but between a bridge and a bit further down the river where the water decides to appear again). When I get into the 'dry' spot I am under water, but standing next to it or a bit away from it, there's no water visible. I've tried reinstalling RWT2, but no luck. I'm not using any other water mod, so I don't know what's going on. If I ever figure this out, I'll post whatever I find. The reason for my addition to an older post is that there are people who periodically have this problem, which is making the game weird & maybe I can help someone if I figure things out.
