What mods do you recommend? 2018

It's been a long time, since I last played Skyrim. There's too many mods out there. I need some help to narrow it down. You can recommend any mods, that you use. If I find your recommended mod interesting, I'll be sure to check it out.

Please recommend only mods compatible for Skyrim Special Edition.

You are welcome to recommend more than one mod, if you use more mods than one.

Mod Name: Please write what the mod is called.

Type: What mod is it? For example, is it a follower, npc overhaul, combat overhaul, etc.

Version: Do you remember what version you use? If not, leave it blank.

Pros:

Here can you write a few keywords, what you like about this mod. For example, cool animation, awesome skills, etc. Otherwise leave it blank, if you can't think of anything.

Cons:

Here can you write a few keywords, what you disalike about this mod. Again leave it blank, if you can't think of anything.

Details:

Here are some examples you can write about.

1. What makes this mod so interesting for you?

For example, the mod makes the gameplay more fun or it was an ENB. The example could be WoW! there's no frame drop when I play, etc.

2. Why do you recommend this mod?

For example, I know there's many vampire mods out there and the example can be why do you recommend "Sacrosanct mod" and not "Better Vampires mod".

Please copy and paste the form below and fill the blanks, when you recommend the mods. Thank you.

Blimey, haha

Your asking a lot for info there.

Best bet is to check out the top 100 on Nexus and just go through them.

Most mods for oldrim are more or

Less over to SSE so what was good then is still good now.

Mod Name: Rath's Chainmails and Conversions

Type: Armor mod

Version:1.3a

Pros: Contains 40 different undersuits for UNP and the custom UNP body used in UNPSpicegear. Contains every UNPSpicegear and Tiwa44 Minidress armor sets in a fully standalone form with custom nifs so that they can fit over whichever undersuit you wish to use. The new standard UNP chainsuits will be getting an update this weekend which will add vanilla male suits as well. The Tera armor set will be coming soon as well, I'm already done with all of the work for it and am just doing testing now. I am constantly on the lookout for new armor sets to convert as well. It also plays nice with Hmm what to wear. Ultimately I like having enough choices to really make a unique looking outfit.

Cons: not nearly as popular as random sexy armor mods that have one only one outfit.

if you haven't already checked out: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2846/

much of what is on there can prove for a very fulfilling playthrough. As for things I personally would recommend..

a killable children mod (any type works-- I usually almost always end up killing Braith for whatever reason, or turn her into a follower and send her to fight a dragon usually getting her killed in the process; ahh good times)

but more to the point: tk dodge/hit/recoil; relighting skyrim, customizable camera, wearable lanterns (look up proper installation guide), SSE Fixes plugin (really that plugin boosted my fps by 40-60%), all of ddefender's (blood,no spin, etc.), realistic greatsword animation, fore's trifecta (fores animation, sexy moves, pcea2),eff, obis, wildcat, immersive patrols, skytest birds and creatures.. now that I think about it, far there's too many to name.

That is a lot of information that you are asking and I do not think that we could advise you. I mean, we can, but what would be the point ? You need to decide which ones to use according to your play style. For example, I do not like Open Cities. What ? You do not like Open Cities ? No I don't and I have my reasons ... see my point ? What is good for me may not be good for you or for anybody else or whatever others use, are not welcome by me.

Everyday I am looking for mods. How many we have available for Skyrim SE ? 3k perhaps ? Are all of them good ? No they are not. For me it is about quality not quantity and I can only say one thing about my play style : Skryim is boring without mods and I like to have mods that will make my combat more challenging and kind of difficult. I do not use horses to travel, I like to be waking and discovering. I love houses and castles but none of them to be honest have what I would like them to have, simply none. Call me crazy but if I give you my reasons, perhaps some will back me up and some will criticize me. I play my game with the mods I want according to my play style and I do suggest that you do the same since nobody can tell you how to play your game.

I think quite a few of us play it differently. For instance, my character and followers are explorers and treasure hunters. I try to stay clear of a quest unless it leads me to something unique. I also avoid the Thieves Guild as the Dragonborn has a hero status to uphold.

So my mod list may not fit what you or others would have or like. That's the beauty of this game, you can make it your own. :)
