PaulusW Posted May 18, 2018 Share Posted May 18, 2018 I have recently bought Skyrim VR and Vortex will not find it at all. I use Vortex with Fallout 4 VR and Skyrim is in the same Steam folder (my default is drive E: - which I made Steam default some time ago), I can play the game fine, and enjoy it, but I feel I might like it even more with a few graphics mods. The game is not hidden in Vortex, I have chosen the correct path (even in frustration down to the Skyrim VR folder) and it simple refuses to see Skyrim VR. Should I try and remove Vortex and re-install? Would this stop my Fallout 4 mods from working or would it find them again once I re-loaded Vortex? It's getting a little frustrating as I know Vortex works and I know my Skyrim VR works but for some reason Vortex won't talk to Skyrim VR. Anyone any ideas? I'm getting desperate. Saurran Posted June 17, 2018 Share Posted June 17, 2018 I have the same problem but with The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY. I've tried re-installing VORTEX with no success to discover The Witcher 3. Saurran Posted June 17, 2018 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Update: I've found a fix for my problem.1. Go to Games in Vortex 2. Go to Supported 3. Click Manage on the Game you want to discover4. Select the Game folder (for most people its in C/drive/Programs/steam/steamapps/commons)If you've set up a custom location go there instead.5. It should appear in the discover tab now6. Skyrim VR does not exist in vortex games to choose from... everytime i try to show manual pathway it says this folder does not conatin any game... very frustrating Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pickysaurus Posted January 8, 2021 Share Posted January 8, 2021 Are aware you have posted on a thread that is over 2 years old? Use the search on the games page to find the game. Literally typing "VR" should filter it down to just Skyrim VR and Fallout VR. Click on Skyrim VR. If you have further problems, please create your own thread.
