Lemmington Posted October 21, 2012 Share Posted October 21, 2012 Hi, I have been lurking on the Taleworlds forum for a while now, mainly for the Clash of Kings mod thread and I have yet to make an account for that forum. However, I recently got an error message: Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!don't bother, JawarumThis ban is not set to expire. and I can say that I have done nothing to get banned, has this happened to anyone else? I have had this problem for a short while before, but it was fixed over time. Sorry if I am breaking any rules by using the Nexus forums for help on another forum, but I really don't know anywhere else to look. Thanks. Dark0ne Posted October 21, 2012 Share Posted October 21, 2012 If you've never created an account or posted there then the ban won't be for you. It's more likely it's an IP ban and you're unfortunate enough to have an IP someone else was using when they got banned. See if you can get a new IP address from your ISP (normally involves cloning your router MAC address). I often use Ultrasurf since Facebook is blocked in my country. I don't know enough vietnamese to communicate with my ISP, and I don't know how to explain that to my parents either. I am a guest and nvr posted anything or even replied to any posts. I dun even hav an acc there. So y was i given the msg: "Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum! This ban is set not to expire." everytime i tried to access the forums? There was no reason they could had banned me for wen i did nth there at all. Unless i was banned for downloading the mod?
