  1. Thanks for considering supporting Nexus Mods. I cannot speak for every variation of prepaid card so I'm sorry I cannot answer your question specifically. However, if it doesn't work directly, try using the PayPal payment option at the checkout screen instead and seeing if that works. If it doesn't work via PayPal either then I'm going to guess it's something to do with security on the card rather than something on our end. I'm sorry I cannot be more help.
  2. Confirmed, this does not seem to be working. The devs are off for the day now but hopefully they'll have a fix for it tomorrow. Thanks for your report.

  4. Confirmed, thanks for the report. I imagine this won't get fixed until tomorrow when the staff are back in the office.
  5. We removed the easy way to add broken game support into Vortex for the masses.
  6. https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14733 Read the bottom two paragraphs. It's still relevant today. Outside of the fact we don't want to host mods that actively work to undermine groups (of all types), even more so for us, it's about not wanting to moderate hundreds of purely evil, hate-filled mods, comments and posts from neo-nazis, far-righters and generally deranged people. We were regularly having to deal with individuals sharing how they want to murder their chosen hated group, how they would actually do said murder, why said murder would be justified, and so on and so forth. That was probably the worst stuff, but the problem was, it wasn't and still isn't rare. The absolute state of some of these people. Nor do we want to provide a platform for those who wanted to encourage and empower such individuals. It's far easier for us to say "fuck off" to these people than it is to do the impossible - to provide a place where people can share "whatever they want" (i.e. including mods that deliberately target groups they don't like) without the site turning into an absolute hole of a community filled with the dregs of society that pushes away anyone not crazy enough to be onboard with such ideals. I, as the owner of this site, really couldn't care much less how others think I should be moderating my own site. All I know is, when I wake up on Sunday morning, I don't want to be dealing with another cesspit of shite caused by pure hatred posted to my own website. As per the news post linked above, I've removed the other comments and locked this thread. When we say we really don't want to argue it, we mean it. I tend to leave one of these up every now and again to remind people we mean it.
  7. You're not showing as Premium here - are you sure you don't have more than one account and you're on the wrong, non-Premium account? You will need to email [email protected] with as much information as possible (ideally your payment receipt, or the email address you used when paying, or the date you paid) and they can try to help you.
  8. I still see your mod in the hot files: Are you blocking any tags? Is it possible you're blocking a tag that your own mod has, and that's why you're not seeing it?
  9. Our statement on what we do and don't want to host in regards to inclusivity and diversity can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14733 I recommend taking particular note of the last two paragraphs. I'll lock this now as it will simply be a circular tit-for-tat that has happened countless times already.
  10. Hello, If you are getting a redirect ad you need to provide the information I requested earlier in the thread, link below, else I will not be able to sort it.
  11. Hi there, Thanks for letting us know. If you'd told us sooner we could have helped to rectify it sooner, but later is better than never! Before we take this to the ad agency to resolve, please can you answer these questions? Thanks. The date and time you saw this ad. The URL of the page you were on at the time, e.g. http://www.nexusmods.com/games/? Your general location - e.g. I live in Exeter, in Devon, in England. If you don't want to give the city you live in, then your state and country will suffice, e.g. Devon, England.
  12. I believe the fix right now is to logout of your account and log back in again as this is a login cookie issue. Hence why using a different browser was working as you wouldn't have the login cookie on that browser. The team are looking at a fix for the issue as we speak, but in the meantime, clearing your cookies for next.nexusmods.com or fully logging out and back in again should resolve the issue.
  13. Hi there, I believe if you already started to download a Collection before you bought Premium and then you purchase Premium halfway through the process it will continue to download them one at a time. You need to cancel the process and restart the process from the Collection page for it to use the Premium workflow. It will then be "one-click". I apologise for the inconvenience. RE: download speeds, Vortex will use whatever your site preferences are set to. You can update your download location on your Site Preferences page under "Premium membership preferences".
  14. All I can tell you is that PayPal are instantly denying your payment at their end and that, unfortunately, it is out of our control to resolve.
  15. Your payment is being automatically and instantly refunded by PayPal as soon as we payout. The error given by PayPal is "Denied - The recipient is unable to accept the payment". Are you in a country that cannot accept payments from other countries at this time on PayPal? For example, PayPal has pulled out of Russia due to the Ukraine war and will not work in Russia.
  16. The world of Invision Board programmers. I'm not sure it's the same world as ours. In an ideal world it would let users decide it they want to see that information at all. But alas, it does not.
  17. I concur, and the answer is "I don't know". Looking at it quickly there are filters and sorting options to only show you clubs you have joined or to change how the list is sorted, but it doesn't remember the setting so when you leave and come back, it shows you everything again. Which isn't exactly great.
  18. The alternative is that it sits below the first post on every page of the thread like the picture below. I'm not entirely sure whether that's better or worse:
  19. I have found a setting for it. It's not very customisable but I'll have a little play with it to see if there isn't a better location for it. I'm not confident.
  20. Ah, so for you, you mean the stuff in the right-hand column on a thread? I can understand it's an issue because from your screenshot it looks like you are running at a very small resolution. Considering it looks like that right-nav is hard-coded into the new forums your best bet is going to be using something like uBlock Origin to block that element in your browser. You will then get the full-screen width again. Either way, I'm not sure it is something we can change on our end. I will say that I am using an ultra-wide and the decreased width, for me, is actually a blessing. But that's very much based on personal preference.
  21. You just need a bit of patient. We did say answers would be coming, and they are still working on this as a project. When it's done and ready and they actually know how everything works, then it can be communicated. I'm not using Clubs/Games at all but I just found them by hovering over Browse and then clicking "Top Games". Not the best name for it - but I'm pretty sure that's the list of games/clubs. Can you give me an example of a search you want to do that you can't do due to consolidated forum categories? I think the number of times this would happen in a year would be very small, if non-existant. The game would have to be a break-out sleeper modding hit for us to not have already setup a dedicated forum for it and those are very rare. AAA games we know are going to be modded, for example Hogwarts Legacy and BG3 from this year, would have dedicated forums setup ahead of time. If there is a sleeper hit and the community team need to do some post moving then there is the option to leave re-direct links when moving posts. The community team haven't done that for the Forum Category to Club move because those forum categories are being removed entirely, so it's pointless. That should avoid any confusion in this very rare issue. RE: the other points, I'm not sure what you mean by "wasteful screen real estate", because when you're looking at forum topics inside a club it looks and acts exactly like a normal forum. I also don't agree with your navigation issues either. If anything, all the categories within a club/game are shown at the top of the club and you can easily click between them, so you can actually switch between categories in clubs/games faster than you could before in the old forums. Perhaps this is an issue of you not being willing to just let the dust settle and give the system a chance (and giving us time to actually finish the job before coming in hard on the negativity).
  22. The more forums that we create on Invision Board, the more server power it requires (because, on every page load, Invision Board tries to pre-load all the forum categories, so the more there are, the longer that takes) and the slower every single page load is for every single user, no matter what or where they are browsing on the forums. Thus, reducing the number of forums, where they aren't at all necessary, has an intrinsic value to all users on the forums. In a nut-shell, less wasted space and less resources wasted makes browsing easier and faster for our users. The vast majority of the games Nexus Mods support have 5 or less mods uploaded to them (just a little under 2,000 of the 2,600 games) and likely won't ever have more mods uploaded for them as those mods are things like no intro videos and, perhaps, an ENB. These games do NOT need dedicated forums set aside just for them and if, on the off chance someone has a question related to one of these game it can be placed in the "catch all" forum set aside for these very tiny modding communities. If a game actually has people uploading multiple mods to it (and not just ENBs/intro replacers) then that community will be fostered and supported with a dedicated area made for it on the forums. But gone are the days where we have 2,000 unused forums laying around for absolutely no reason what-so-ever.
  23. Oof, this was a slog to read. None of this is worth replying to except the matter of stats. We don't hide our stats - the link to them is on the footer of the Nexus Mods site. If you're on the main nexusmods.com site it will show you the stats for the entire site. If you go to a specific game on the site it will show you the stats for just that game. You can choose to interpret them whichever way you damn well please. Every year has been better than the last. The only discrepancy is 2018. You'll see a dip occurred in March 2018, which is when we released the DP system. The DP system release required us to completely rework how we calculate downloads and ensure they are 100% accurate. Before this date we were using algorithms to make best guess estimates on download counts - something we didn't want to rely on when paying mod authors fairly was super important to us, so all download counts before 2018 were not entirely accurate and all download stats from March 2018 are. You'll note there was no dip in new file uploads or user registrations at that time so, yeah, it really was just the change in how we calculated downloads. Have a great day.
  24. Work on the forum to Club migration is still ongoing and not final.
  25. You get it, thank you. What you've written is exactly what I was about to write. We've had to make a tough business decision which has some short-term pains for some long-term gains. Our reliance on the forums for site functionality at the time of doing it (in 2004) was the right decision, but now, almost 20 years later, it drastically hinders our ability to do even the most basic of things (like upgrading to the new version of the software for security updates). We've been putting off having to make this change for a long time but now our goals require us to move forward at a much faster pace and now was the time to rip the band-aid off and make this change. It is absolutely, 100% the right choice for Nexus Mods and its future, but I appreciate why users are sad and/or annoyed at the loss of some functionality. We'll work to restore at least some of this functionality in the not-too-distant future while other things (like Friends) will not be coming back.
