ERROR, download location not found

EDIT: Pretty sure I figured out what the issue was. I'll reply with explanation.
Hello, today when I tried to download some cyberpunk mods using the "slow download" button, I noticed that upon clicking the buton, it did nothing. Did not attempt to load a link or anything.
I checked the page source using developer tools and found that the link url on the button comes up as "#ERROR-download-location-not-found". This appears to be happening with every cyberpunk mod I try to download.

I thought it might be my browser due to some plugins I installed, so I tried a different browser, but got the same issue.
Looking over this download troubleshooting page I was able to download fine from the test links.
I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know if this is a problem the mods are aware of, or if it could be something else to do with my computer.

Details from my pc that the troubleshooting link says to include:
Country: Australia
ISP: Telstra
Test download speeds: Download speeds were not unusual.
Download link generated: "#ERROR-download-location-not-found"

Found the reason this was happening. See solution below:

Cause: A privacy addon I was using had edited a setting in firefox that is known to break some websites.
How I fixed it:
1. In firefox, type in url bar "about:config", and hit enter.
2. Accept the risk warning given on the page that shows.
3. the following page has a search bar at the top. Type in the search bar "dom.storage.enabled", and hit enter.
4. The privacy addon had changed this setting to "false". To change it back, simply double click where it says "false" and it will be changed to "true.

The nexus download page works properly again after doing this.
For some reason, this was also causing the same problem in internet explorer even though I had no addons in internet explorer. Its probably a settings that effects files locally on the computer that internet explorer uses for the same function, causing it to break websites on that browser as well.

In case people find this thread by google search like I did, I was able to figure out what was breaking the download page when this happened to me, and posted it here:

https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/9920483-error-download-location-not-found-cant-download-anything/?p=93448588

The issue at least for me (can't be certain if its the same for others), was that a privacy setting "dom.storage.enabled" was set to false by a privacy addon I had installed on the browser. It seems this setting effects certain local files on the computer and whatever change it makes on the local files causes the same problem to happen with other browsers. Changing the setting "dom.storage.enabled" to "true" fixed this problem for me.
