I've decided to spend some of my lockdown time learning to 3d model, which has been a lot of fun!
I've created a model of a ship i want to import into Bridge Commander, but i'm having trouble with Nifskope.
Whenever i try to import the OBJ, that i've exported from 3ds Max, it's encountering problems.
The model, when it actually imports fully, is a silvery, untextured model even though there is a material file accompanying the file.
I figured i'd ignore that for now and save the file down so i can have a look at it in game, but the model itself isn't saving, when i reopen the nif file i've saved, it comes up with an error and either won't show anything, or will only open one of the elements.
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
i assumed it would be as simple as exporting as obj, importing obj into Nifskope, saving as Nif file. but it doesn't seem to be.
