Crash to Desktop after loading saved game

I've decided to post here hoping maybe, just maybe someone can help me figure out what might be wrong with my game or determine if it is the save files. My guess currently is the saves are corrupted and it's useless. However, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

 

 

Here is a quick synopsis of how the problem started and some background info:

 

I was just playing the game like usual and when I was walking to my destination (specifically towards Ysgramor's tomb from Driftshade Refuge) the game decided to crash. So I relaunched the game and loaded the save, I first obtained the infinite loading screen. So I modified the SKSE's EngineFIxes.toml and set MemoryManager to True. That solves the infinite loading, but now it crashes to desktop after loading the save.

Here's another thing, I can start a new game just fine and dandy (even before messing with the SKSE thing), and so I returned and followed the exact same path to Ysgramor's tomb on the new game. No crash, nothing. So I'm guessing it has to do with my save file specifically, rather than the game as a whole. I have tried reloading older saves only to no avail, either it's infinite loading screen or CTD.

 

Now, I'm a big amateur when it comes to modding, I use vortex and LOOT, but with only basic proficiency. Now one thing I might add is I think problems may be stemming from me also having mods installed via the in-game modding menu (from the main menu) and I have read somewhere that could be a big issue, but I'm not entirely sure.

 

My PC Specs shouldn't be the problem, but here are the main components:

Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB DDR4 RAM

As far as I understand, Skyrim remember everything you did and own. It remembers all things stored in you house for example, and every other setting. That is why your saves are growing in sizes.

It is possible that something is already wrong in an early save, and you notice it later in your game. As you describe your problem I should think it is a texture problem in the environment, fixed in the saves before. Especially because you said you can go there in a new game.

I had such things too when I updated some mods midgame. So I learned not to do that anymore. I play my game as it is when I started, and no new mods, and no mod updates anymore, and absolutely no steam updates, till I am finished.

If it happens every single time in the same spot, with your save, then yes, there's something wrong with the save at this point, you might be able to salvage it with FallrimTools, found int eh Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 forum.
