File sizes on some games

Hi everyone.

Since starting uni I've had to move out, and this place I'm staying at only allows for 10GB download per month. This is probably the most gut-wrenching thing about moving half-way across the country - can't download much.

I'm also extremely bored. I want to play some of the games I had purchased on Steam, but haven't downloaded since getting my new laptop.

Basically, I'd like to know some of the file sizes of these games, so I can decide if it's worth it to download or not.

My games I have purchased are:

Saint's Row the Third

Fallout: New Vegas

Portal 1 and Portal 2

Mass Effect 2

I'm pretty sure that all these games are more than 10GB each, but I just want to make sure. Maybe I'll get 'em anyway and just pay for excess data usage.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Dammit. I hope you can all read that.

according to the Folders in which the games are in on my drive:

SR3: 9.3GB

FONV: 7.66GB

i dont have portal. and i have ME2 on PS3 and it says it requires 5.3GB of disk space. just to give you a reference, idk if its same for PC or not.

EDIT: was looking at the system requirements for the games as posted on Steam. FONV and SR3 both give an estimated 10GB which is pretty close to their actual values. ME2 however gives an estimated 15GB, which is no where near the PS3 estimate. Portal 1 doesnt give an estimate, but portal 2 says 7.6GB. id assume Portal 1 is less, since earlier games usually require less then their predecessors. and if you assume they are over estimating, then you should be fine with either of them. ME2 is the only one i cant give an accurate number on since my PS3 reference and the PC reference are so far apart.

 Looks like i am not the only one who suffers from that nasty glitch.

Ouch 10gb per month isn't much for downloading games, although if its a decent isp you should increase the cap. You use more then 10gb a month just simply downloading fonts and stuff from websites, each site is around 8mb at least depending on the type of website you browse on.

That certainly isn't the greatest isp in the world, even if its satellite, i bet there is better plans.

is it cable, dsl or satellite ??

I am in the same Canadian boat as Thor. Unlimited bandwidth is nice but where I live I will only see 1mb/s on a really good day. Fiber will be really if it ever arrives to non dense areas. (You got my hopes up with the link you posted about google fiber, than the update they wrote was disappointing ;D )

1MB/s is pretty good. Where I used to live in FNQ it was like that, but I had a cap. Here, it's probably 2MB/s at it's best, and I've get a much, much stricter cap.

Apparently one of my friends going to a university up there downloaded Portal 1 in about a minute. I wish I had that kind of internet!

My university downloads fast as well, but we're only allowed 3GB per month over there. AND it has to be for "educational" purposes, or we get kicked off. :(

Anyway, I'm downloading Saints Row currently - should be done within 3 hours. I'm going to go over the cap, but whatever. :P

I'm stuck at round 750kbps, but the upload rate is fantastic, still wish i had higher speeds. Limitations of dsl, Bell.

Can't really complain though unlimited bandwidth is nice.
