Nexus downloads keep crashing

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I need some help, I recently got this problem where my download from nexus just randomly crash before completing. I have two accounts, a Premium one that has the crashes and a free one that doesn't have crashes at all, both have the same settings and on both I tried downloading the same files with just the premium crashing, and it is usually only files that are 50-60MB and larger. I've also tried to change my download region(doesn't work).

I also tried manually downloading it but it crashes both with my mod manager and with manual download(I use MO2)

Hey Roelou,

Sorry to hear about this.

Hey guys I need some help, I recently got this problem where my download from nexus just randomly crash before completing. I've also tried to change my download region(doesn't work).

First and foremost, I ask that you delete your second account. It is against our Terms of Service to operate multiple accounts. https://help.nexusmods.com/article/25-how-do-i-delete-my-account

Do you know which server you have set in your preferences? It looks like Premium CDN is the best one for you. This is "CDN" in your preferences.

If you've already tried changing server, perhaps you could see if using a VPN makes any difference?

Is it just larger downloads that fail, or smaller ones too?

Hi, i'm having the same problem it seems. The download simply crashes, or rather, stops, i have to click retry and then it starts all over again from 0%. I'm having this problem with Skyland AIO for SSE and Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures (the Kart_CSSET_Overwrite file) wich are pretty big files.

My template:

Average Download Speed(non-Nexus Downloads): 30 MB/s

Los Angeles : 320 KB/s

I have a pretty good internet speed and i found strange that my premium was downloading at 2 - 3 Mbs when my max is 30 Mbs, at first i assumed it was because i'm very far from the server, but those downlaods "crashes" seems to strange, since it starts back from 0%.

Sorry for bad english :P

Have you also tried setting your default download location to CDN?

Same problem.

Downloading small file ok but failed on 100Mb+ files. Stop and restart with MO2 error "connection closed (2)" or in manual using Edge stop with error "Couldn't download - Network error".

Using my Premium account and CDN, Chicago or Miami servers.
