  1. Would you ever consider a Saint's Row Nexus? Since the developers are working on mod tools for Saint's Row 2, Saint's Row The Third, and Saint's Row VI, along with the large quantity of mods already available for the first two of those, and the latter being a highly anticipated release, it may be worth looking into to increase the popularity of the Nexus.
  2. If I could spare any cash at all, I'd Premium in a heartbeat. Thank you for the clarification. She'll make her account once I'm finished building her her Christmas present ;)
  3. Most of the rules are logical and almost don't need to be read to be known. Not that I recommend against reading them or anything, you should always read the rules and follow as closely to the letter as possible, otherwise don't press the "I Agree" Button. Great blog post, the new sustem sounds great. That being said, I do have a question: Are two people allowed to share one account? My girlfreind shares my computer with me and we play games together, but she doesn't have her own Nexus Account because of that. I download mods for her, to avoid an issue, but I'd like clarification on the rule. I'm not sure if the rule applies to two people sharing one account, two or more members sharing two or more accounts, or both?
  4. I still think the game is at fault, but making your system more stable seems to work, at least until the next time I upgrade. But I don't play this game that often (my highest level character is 24 and I've been playing since day 1), so fixing the issue isn't really a big deal for me. Even so, I would like to fix this game properly. Thank you, whogoods, for contributing and adding a new statistic for my research.
  5. The latest patch has rectified the issue for me in Windowed. I think we might be on the right track here.
  6. I'm am trying to figure out why Skyrim emulated in Ubuntu 11.10 under Wine works perfectly, but Windows7 HP 64x is giving the problems. Has anyone else tried this? It seems odd that a game that is supposed to run natively in Windows runs better in Ubuntu. I'm beginning thinking the problem lies in Windows, rather than the game itself.
  7. Sorry I didn't post any updates to the compiling lists, I was sick up til now. This has stretched to 90 pages since I last looked at it, and it seems the problem is still not fixed, so I'm going to start working on the compiled lists later tomorrow afternoon (it's 12:00AM, Ireland time). hopefully the compiled lists will help us isolate the problem. Found this post: "We plan on having a lot of these updates, not just a few. Overall, you should expect updates to be hitting the PC and Steam earlier and more often, as that's a process we control. Console updates will follow, as they must be certified and processed by those manufacturers." "Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download for free the same development tools we used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim"
  8. While I do feel everyones pain, I really do, there is no need for anger. Just give something to work with or don't post at all, you're just spreading the anger. Please describe your problem and system specs, rather than just coming here to complain. That's not helping the situation, you're making it worse. Either make a complaint thread or post elsewhere, please. Remember to emulate it in Wine under Windows XP and ensure that you go ABOVE the minimum. I play in windowed in lowest resolution and all graphhic set ti low/off and I still get 30FPS.
  9. We are PC users. We don't wait for the studio to fix it. If it's broken, we fix it ourselves. If it can look better, we make it look better ourselves. If it can run smoother, we make it run smoother ourselves. This is one of the many things that sets us apart from console users. While they often have to wait to get what is broken fixed, we get it working first, often putting the studio developers to shame. Look at things like Oblivion Graphics Extender, Robert's Body replacer, HGEC Body replacer, Moonshadow Elves, Deadly Combat and so many others. Just like every fault with Oblivion is being fixed, and continually expanding, we will fix Skyrim. It's a question of when, not if.
  10. Here is a list of the first 10 pages and Page 75, will continue tomorrow, then categorise when I get the time. Thanks to everyone for trying to help us fix this issue. This is everyone who has described their problem and posted specs for the first 10 pages and 75.
  11. Thanks for your contribution, but could you also add what drivers you are using for your card? Thanks again, any info is appreciated.
  12. I would still think that we should look for a solution ourselves, there is no guarantee that our problem will be fixed even on a v8.9.
  13. I'm going to test a cracked version of 1.2, just in case. In order to make certain, I think we should post our crashes and details on things like reproducibility, and if so, how you reproduce them, exact description of the crashes, computer settings, driver versions, how often they occur, etc My crash happens after about 2-4 hours of extended playtime. My computer makes a beeping sound while immediately shutting down and half a minute later restarting. The crash is not reproducible intentionally as far as I know, and happens to nother game I own. I use the 260 NVidia drivers. I have tried everything posted in this thread, minus CTD solutions and anything solution involving ATI cards, and have read it entirely, I think. I posted a solution before which only worked on some computers (Uninstall DX10 / 11, Install DX9), but for me this only extended playtime to 2-6 hours, max. No forced NVidia settings or ENB Series where placed. No mods have been placed either. I have run 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2, to no avail. I have tested these versions across Steam, DVD and Pirate installs, except 1.2 on the latter. The only Long term solution I have managed to find is running the game under Wine in Ubuntu, but that's not a solution for most of you. My system settings are: Intel Core i5 2.70GHz Overclocked Windows 7 Home Premium 64x / Ubuntu 11.10 32x 4GB RAM 1GB Nvidia Geforce 250GTS 1TB Hard Drive I think we should record each crash and hardware report and relate them to each other and categorise them. This may help pin down the problem, since not every user is experiencing the problems, otherwise this game would not have been received so well. I will copy each post regarding crashes and hardware and categorise them myself.
  14. Sorry to report, 1.2 has not solved the issue. We're still on square one. At the very least, we do know it's not a sound issue. This is the first and only time Bethesda disappointed me. But I still have faith that the problem will be solved. If Bethesda won't, someone else will. I still have a feeling it is an unstable engine problem. Perhaps it was not tested enough on PC hardware before release. I have e-mailed Bethesda and posted links to this and many other forums which cover this topic. Overall, I posted 7 links. Hopefully they'll get the message.
  15. Well, it should be here today at some point. I'm sure Bethesda have fixed the issue, I have full faith in them. They haven't let me down yet. Aside from Skyrim's release bug, of course. I'm still testing new solutions though, just in case...
