  1. The entire centralization over the course of the year sounds like a sinking boat with many holes in the hull, and trying to fix all the holes takes time that you may or may not have. The passengers you have on board also do not help the situation at all. When you have relatively serious technical issues that need to be dealt with ASAP, and you have passengers that condemn you for not trying hard enough to fix a sinking ship before it goes down completely, I can understand it gets frustrating very, very quickly. These passengers need to understand that when you are on a sinking ship, and the ship's crew are doing their very best to seal all the holes in the hull, YOU have to BACK OFF and let them do their JOB. They CANNOT WASTE time or energy dealing with YOU when the ship is sinking. With that being said, you're doing the best you can Dark, and I admire your efforts despite the setbacks and the frustration and the blood and sweat and tears you've shed. It takes a strong will to find the way out, and before we know it you'll have the Nexus back up and better than ever.
  2. I downloaded the latest version of NMM and it didn't restore my previous mod configuration. On top of that, it removed mods that it thinks were deleted... which weren't deleted at all. I find this rather disheartening, as now I have no clue which mods I need to add back into my saved game... You really fudged everything this time. EDIT: The default mod directory replaced my custom mod directory. I simply had to switch directories and everything is fine now.
  3. So like, are you still around or what?
  4. I recently installed Windows 7, as my installation of Vista had a major issue with SP1 (a BSOD was caused even after SP1 installed successfully, and Startup Repair only offered to perform a System Recovery - one that meant reverting my PC to pre-SP1 Vista...). This was unacceptable for me as I wanted to play GTA IV on my PC. Annnnndddddd because Rockstar Games decided to make gamers need SP1 in order to play GTA IV, I just decided I may as well upgrade my OS to something more usable. I have no issues with all my other games I had installed before I upgraded to Win7, however with GTA IV the only issue I have - albeit however minor it is - is causing me to not want to play GTA IV... The issue I'm having is with stutter and freezing - it's like my system hangs for a couple seconds then resumes and then freezes again and then resumes play. It's an annoyance that detracts from gameplay, and I realize it must be an issue between GTA IV and Win7 - I have the latest drivers for my GPU, which also passes the minimum requirements for GTA IV. I Googled this and so far haven't found anything much that could solve my issue. This is my setup as of 31 March, 2010: -AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ dual-core CPU -XFX Radeon HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5 PCI-e GPU (Catalyst v.10.3) -3072 MB DDR2 PC5300 RAM -Windows 7 Home Premium (Version 6.1 Build 7600) -Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI APU EDIT: I have not yet installed the 1.0.0.4 patch for GTA IV BTW... EDIT 2: I installed patch v.1.0.0.4 that I d/led from FileFront, and now my game works fine. This thread can be ignored lol.
  5. I may have seen you before, but me ish not sure O.o Welcome back I say then hehe :P
  6. If Nintendo created a HDD add-on that connected to the Wii through USB, and added Dreamcast game images as legitimate downloads for the VC, we wouldn't need a PS3 now would we? :P
  7. Hmm, I wouldn't exactly take this at face value yet - Sega may perhaps miss being in the console wars, however the images look like a cheap Wii knockoff. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions at this point in time, as everything seems to be tentative and might only turn out to be simple rumours. I'd suggest waiting to see what happens - Sega has always been a competitive company, but ultimately they may have damaged their rep as a console manufacturer with poorly handled incidents involving the legal system, as well as financial hardship. While seeing Sega become a console manufacturer again would see more competition in the video game industry, it may very well spell disaster for them. If they can pull their comeback off gracefully, kudos to them. At this point in time, hype may build up only to be let down, so nobody should get their hopes up yet.
  8. Actually no... The SNES, N64, and GCN have a different connection :( The GCN is the only one that has the same connection as the Wii, as well as the older connection present on the SNES and N64. So the component cable that they make will only work with a GCN or Wii, not previous consoles Nintendo has released. Which sucks :(:(:(
  9. I didn't bother with the HD DVD player attachment, seemed to much of a waste  Besides, my regular DVDs are fine on my Xbox :) Just wish my Wii offered the same :(
  10. It should, being that the connections are the same on both consoles. Although I don't see see why, the Wii is backwards compatible with GCN games and accessories :) Then again I can't play my GBA games on the Wii since the Game Boy Player doesn't work with Wii :(
  11. They released that about the same time they released the Wii :) And don't worry, I know how overlooking something is - you tend to be more focused on the search for something and overlook what might be right in front of you. :P Anyway, I hope that helps. ^^ EDIT: Crap, I overlooked this cable (it's here too) for $10 less. It's from Rocketfish and might be better than Nintendo's own cable, but it depends on how much you wanna spend or if you prefer official accessories over cheaper non-official ones.
  12. Um, they do actually. It costs $39.99 CDN at Best Buy or Future Shop
  13. People complain because they aren't happy, because they want better. They aren't happy with mediocre, or "what gets the job done". They want "PERFECT". And it's those people that should shut up and quit being unhappy and wanting more than they actually deserve - which is a shallow mass grave. Perfectionism is the reason I believe people complain about this and that, yet they don't realize that the ones THEY put in power are trying to please EVERYONE, and that's a pointless logic, as everyone who has COMMON SENSE would know you just can't please everyone.
  14. Does it look like I CARE? Nope, and I never will. Keep your PS3 - a waste of time and money if you ask me. EDIT: By the way, this might be of interest to some who read this. If Sony is a large electronics corporation (excluding their actual entertainment branches, Sony BMG and Sony Pictures), making more than just consoles, why is it that their console is last in overall sales regarding only consoles? On top of which, if I'm not mistaken, they don't exactly need to be in the console races, but choose to do so because of the mighty dollar. They may be profitable NOW, but this is NOW, not 2006 when the PS3 was first released. Production costs are down, hence prices go down. This means the PS3 should be gaining ground, but as of late they haven't surpassed M$ in overall sales on their consoles (that may change later this year, but I'm no prophet so who knows how the chips will play). I wonder now, is this because Sony is aiming their console at the wrong kind of people that they think are true games? Or what exactly are they thinking? Call me a fanboy - and indeed it would be true - but the numbers don't lie. And they prove that you don't need to have the biggest CPU to be on top.
  15. Ditto. What people seem to define "console" now as is synonymous with "multimedia player"...
