  1. Here here, me too, I just happened to stumble upon this thread while googling for just such a mod lol.
  2. In response to post #80238478. Can't launch the Optimizer through steam either. Gives me a completely different error. Great!
  3. Seems broken. Wanted me to manually navigate to Morrowinds install folder and select Morrowind.exe, which at first it wouldn't recognize in the file browser that popped up. Now it's giving me a Steam error: Application load error 5:0000065434 Game launches fine from Steam. I really wanted to fix my UI scale. Sad!
  4. I'm having this problem now too, lmao. I don't have any mods that alter quests or Whiterun. I tried finishing the quest via console commands but you know what happened in my case? The topic for the next mission from Ulfric wasn't in the dialogue options! What a twist! Thanks Todd.
  5. I don't think we'll see something like this till the creation kit comes out, unless a really clever modder can figure out how to do it. I really want this too, I can't decorate my settlements without things flying off the shelves or clipping through tables everytime I go home.
  6. You can easily spawn them around your settlements using the 'player.placeatme' command. They don't wander far from where you spawn them so don't worry about losing them  I don't know the formID for the cat off hand but you can find it pretty easily if you type 'help "cat" 4' into the console without the single ' marks and scroll up till you see NPC Cat 00xxxxxx then just type player.placeatme 00xxxxxx (the x's stand for the formID)
  7. Is there any way a mod could be whipped up to let the player command any and every npc in your settlements so you can park them where it's easy to find them? I sent Buddy to Spectacle Island (its really goddamn big if you havent been there yet) and used the turret placement glitch to move him into my bar and he keeps teleporting back into the woods by the shack with the radio tower every time I reload my game. I don't want to go inna woods just to get a friggin' beer. I'd just spawn a copy him normally with the console but that just spawns his model with a regular protectron's personality and it crashes my game if I leave the area and come back.
  8. Oh trust me, I've been modding for years but I've never ran into a problem like this. What's a good registry cleaner to use?Well I use Auslogics BoostSpeed, which is actually a bunch of optimization programs in one, it costs money but you can get the included registry cleaner separately for free on their website though. That worked :) Thanks so much! Kudos! I have a GTX 560 aswell! EVGA? Glad you got your game fixed too!
  9. Oh trust me, I've been modding for years but I've never ran into a problem like this. What's a good registry cleaner to use? Just tried that, nothing. :(
  10. Nazis sure are cool! But in all seriousness, after installing the Boulder Dome mod, my game has abruptly stopped working completely. I wonder if the same thing's happening to you now.
  11. I reinstalled New Vegas last night and got a file started before I got to modding the crap out of it. After I downloaded a bunch of mods I wanted (And made a few of my own) I went to start New Vegas up and it crashed right on the first screen. I know this happens a lot so I rearranged my load order and tried again and it crashed anyway. I sighed and started uninstalling mods I thought were causing problems and eventually I was only down to a handful of mods that just changed some item stats around and it was still crashing. After uninstalling those, uninstalling the DLC and validating my game files AND reinstalling New Vegas twice, the game is still not working at all. What the hell did I do to my game? I don't even have the mod manager or NVSE installed at this point. It's completely 100% vanilla! I'm so confused... :(
  12. Oh, thanks! That fixed it! I dunno why, but it was turned off for some reason and I never noticed.
  13. This recently just started happening. I'm running New Vegas on custom high settings, have been since it came out, but after I started my umpteenth playthrough, I noticed textures becoming pixely and blocky at a distance. Did a recent patch force the game to start compressing textures based on how far away you are from them? It's not game-breaking, or even game-impeding, it's just annoying and it breaks immersion. Video below. Ignore the choppy framerate, Fraps sucks. EDIT: Okay so apparently New Vegas doesn't recognize my videocard, labelling it as an nVidia 7900 GS. I have an nVidia 240 GTX. All my drivers are up to date and I just doublechecked before this edit. Could that have anything to do with it?
  14. Honestly, I'm up for a new layout, but the way TES Nexus is done is absolutely awful. It's -too- simplified, like the way Youtube is now. We're modders and gamers, not web 2.0 idiots who need everything to hold our hands and attract us with soft colors and big buttons that open annoying drop-down menus. The design is horrible. Why don't you guys listen to your community and take our suggestions instead of deciding what you think we'd like best? You're not a big corporation, you're regular people, just like us, so come to our level. If this is what most of the community actually suggested, then my god I hate their taste. Also, none of the images are loading at all on TES Nexus. They worked fine on the old site, but not on this new one. I'm not running any adblockers or scripts to disable things, they're just not working. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and blame Firefox anyway, because it's been acting really dumb lately.
