  1. Motherboards a bit expensive for what it is I think, and I've personally had Thermaltake cases break on me. What resolution will you be playing that at? You won't be maxing out any games on that graphics card. If you're on a really tight budget I'd suggest cutting back on the CPU and finding a better value motherboard and getting a better graphics card. Also, your PSU is RIDICULOUSLY overpowered. You have low end hardware there but have listed a very powerful PSU. It's substantially more powerful then mine and I have a top of the line CPU and Graphics card both heavily overclocked. What's your budget?
  2. So I know all the mods I need to fix Vampires in Morrowind. After using them the game becomes uplayable without mods such as Vampiric Embrace and Vampire Realism. But does Oblivion have equivalents to these must have mods? I'd like to try playing a vampire properly in Oblivion, but I'll just keep playing Morrowind instead if there are no game changing Vampire mods like there are in Morrowind. Thanks guys!
  3. Topic title says... some.... In a confusing way. Basically, I'm installing the essentials, Better Bodies, MGE (highest settings this time? Mebbe!) but I want to know what else to put in? Some over indulgent graphics mods that make the game look fantastic but usually aren't really useable. Texture mods, model, replacements etc. I've already decided I'm going to be runnign some custom shaders such as one that will give some awesome sunbeam effects and I will also probably add that grass mod that worked with MGE. Anything else I need? Also, pictures/graphics porn will come later once I have everything ready to go. EDIT: Yes, Morrowind seems to run at a good 60 FPS with all settings at full and distant land set to 80 with distance blur at 16. ^_^ Now I just need to find that grass mod and a good texture mod.
  4. Coolermaster are not overpriced. At all. They are usually on par if not better then cases hundreds of dollars more expensive then them. I personally have a thermaltake case at the moment and I hate it. I'd suggest the Coolermaster RC-690 II Or CM-690 II Advanced (They are the same case but often vary between these two names and slight other variations) Or something from the HAF series.
  5. The amount of Vram matters very little compared to almost every other aspect of the card. Clock speed and cores play a FAR greater role then vram. The 9300 is an extremely underpowered card, not designed for doing much more then powering the desktop. The graphics card I linked to is FAR, FAR higher end and should, as I said, be able to run most games on medium/high with the PS3 using the equivalent of the setting below that.
  6. US Dollars I assume? All right then. Lets see. http://www.amazon.co...77522521&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.co...77522611&sr=8-3 http://www.amazon.co...77522637&sr=1-4 http://www.amazon.co...77522667&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.co...77522688&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.co...77522707&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Intellipower-Desktop-WD10EARS/dp/B002WB2KFI/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277522967&sr=8-6 Right, Core 2 Duo, only 4 gigs of ram, but it will work. (Two sets of the RAM have been purchased, but that's accounted for in the total) $579.75 You know what, you're right, that IS more expensive then your PS3. But it can also use word, browse the internet, manage your email among MANY more things. It has 1 terrabyte of storage, I would wager that's a bit more then your PS3? All in all, you're right, buying a PC costs more then a console. I am sure I could probably get more powerful at a lower price, but I really didn't want to spend too much time. I just wanted to make my point that it's not terribly hard to get a cheapish gaming computer. Add to the fact that you probably need a PC AND a Console if you want to be a console gamer though and together that costs more then just a gaming PC on it's own. You could get your current computer upgraded pretty cheaply so that it could play most current games on medium to high graphics which is more then the PS3 can do. Combined with all the other benefits and it's a little bit more appealing then before, isn't it? That said, I'm not trying to say anything against console gamers, I'd love a PS3 personally, they are a little bit easier to jump right into, and you can play multiplayer on the same screen. The PS3 seems really excellent to me, but I just like the options available to me with a gaming PC. Also note that if more people bought into gaming computers new brands of cards and chipsets would undoubtedly show up to cash in on it which would lower prices significantly. Ideally PC gaming could be a lot cheaper then console gaming. There's benefits in both really, it's just up to what you like.
  7. I'm looking for some good face presets for Fallout, but I've found that almost all of the mods available have been for female faces. I'm just looking for some good presets to work from so i can create something with a lot of character that will enhance the fallout experience for me. Most of the faces I've managed to make in game have come out looking too 'puny' to hold a hunting rifle, let alone a mini gun. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. As the title says, I do not want that hotkey there. Why? I use a non standard control layout RDFG to allow for more hotkeys then the standard WASD. It's useful in a lot of FPS games, however with FOOK installed it's absolutely worthless as I can't strafe. Is there a way to change this hotkey or remove it?
  9. I uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled only to find that the problem still persists. But, after deleting the Fallout 3 folder in my documents the game suddenly runs fine. =D
  10. so just to clarify you've installed the steam version of the game then found out that you could not run the game with or without FOSE while you were not using the steam launcher somehow this sounds reasonable. Correct, however it doesn't work via the steam launcher either.
  11. I have steam at the moment. Before this problem I have never played it via steam. Before this though I ran the retail version of Fallout 3.
  12. I haven't tried it through steam, but it used to work retail. Definately can run though.
  13. I Just recently bought Fallout 3 GOTY edition from Steam (you know the story, it was dirt cheap) but I can't get it to load now. After trying to run it with the FOSE I kept getting CTDs, and on further inspection, it crashes even when booted straight from the fallout 3 exe. :/ My load order: Fallout3.esm Masterlist Information: $Revision$, $Date$, $LastChangedBy$ Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm BrokenSteel.esm PointLookout.esm Zeta.esm Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm Project Beauty.esm * This mod does not exist in the current template CRAFT.esm CALIBR.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm Mart's Mutant Mod.esm Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Operation Anchorage.esp Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - The Pitt.esp Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Broken Steel.esp Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Point Lookout.esp Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Mothership Zeta.esp Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp Fellout-pipboylight.esp CRAFT - Activation Perk.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp * The current load order of this mod does not match the current template FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp * The current load order of this mod does not match the current template FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp * The current load order of this mod does not match the current template FO3 Wanderers Edition - Project Beauty.esp * This mod does not exist in the current template FO3 Wanderers Edition - UFP Support.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp EVE - FWE Master Release.esp ! 14. I'm thinking of getting the GOTY version of FO3 seeing as it's on special on Steam. I have the retail version, but none of the expansion packs, so I figured this might be an oppurtunity to pick them up cheaply. Any known problems with the Steam version and mods? FOSE? FOMM? How will they launch with the steam version of FO3?
