  1. In response to post #36110755. Fair point and nicely made. For all that I'm frustrated about the lack of warning about the disabling of mods with the update, it's only a matter of waiting until it's fixed and as Bethesda are giving us this optional extra for free its seems churlish to complain about it.
  2. Yes there is sort of anyway SkyTweak (http://nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33395/?) lets you edit the enemy weapon damage scaling which as standard goes up to x3 for npcs and x1.5 for you. Changing this setting seems to have a more pronounced effect on enemy archers than melee and setting it to x2 meant that crossbows killed me in 2 rather than 1 shots which was enough to make all the difference (melee damaged still seemed roughly comparable). Might not be perfect and probably still won't save you against the Death Lord Archers which were always my most feared opponent, but at least if it stops me getting one shot killed by bandits archers & that's a pretty big step in the right direction.
  3. Ok found answer (on a distinctly NSFW page on LoversLab) and thought I'd post the answer here in the hopes it would be easier for other people to find. Once you've created the appropriate armor addons you need to add the additional models to the armour in question. It's hidden on all of the standard ones (unless you click show all) which was why I didn't see it when I copied them. Hope this helps someone else.
  4. Hi there relatively new to modding and I'm trying to add a mesh for a mask so that it shows up on beast races. It works fine for default races and I've set up the Nif files and armor addons for the beast versions, but I can't get them to appear in game. The armor addons were copied from vanila items that had .Kha & .Arg entries and the meshes show up the biped model viewer and I've got the correct races selected. The only difference is that rather than the standard circlet slot I've used slot 44 (the empty Mod slot for mouth/face) which I've matched on the Nif Files I've looked through lots of guides and searched for an answer to no avail so wondered if anyone here could tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thank you.
  5. Just to say Thank you. Love this game, but no offence to the wonderful people at MBRepository (and from all of the contact I've had with them they have been great) the nexus is a much better interface, especially with the mod manager which really helps it stand out above anything else I've encountered). Plus anything that brings attention to such an amazing game and the fantastic mods that have been created for it is a good thing. I see it as a really logical step and it's great having a one stop shop for all of my favourite games mods. My thanks to all involved and hope it works as well as it should. Cheers.
