  1. Hi like a previous poster i wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if it's in the wrong place. Anyway i was wandering is there any way of changing your username or to close an existing 'account' and set up a new one with the same email? Thanks
  2. Yeah i guessed as much just wasn't sure if anybody had heard anything online, I've been to busy playing halo reach on Xbox. :P I was a bit disappointed that they hadn't implemented freeplay although I'm sure they will release a DLC that adds it as BS did to FO3.
  3. That didn't really answer the second part about being able to use existing bodymods or weapons meshes? :P
  4. I wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move it if the is actually a forum for Fallout: New Vegas. Anyway i was curious if anyone knew how or if the modding of said game would be as easy or done the same as in FO3 due to it using steam? Also while I'm at it will existing things be able to cross over for example a body mod or a weapon mesh? Thanks Jay
  5. Hmm I'm not sure it's that, the right hand/arm gap is fine now. So it's just the discolouration of the left arm in comparison to the hand and face colour. :S
  6. Ok I've only just noticed there is a small gap between clothing arms and hand so I'm assuming it's to do with that "default shade" and "skin shade" you mentioned. How do i set these as i couldn't see anything in the export options and Nifskope is even more complicated :P.
  7. Wooot i did it tw33z7 you were right it was the versions of blender etc i was using as the moment i switched to those and redid everything again it loaded fine ingame. :) Just wanted to say thanks guys for the help! Hopefully touch wood everything should be fine in the near future, although i don't have Nifskope installed as I got rid of the new version when i uninstalled the other apps. It doesn't help that I cant download the older one from that link you provided as it gives me a blank screen for some reason. :( I'd offer Kudos but don't have much and have no idea how it works. :P
  8. I did install the said software versions a few days back but then for some reason it wouldnt export anything :S. Mind you it was a rush job so I'll trya again tonight as now of to work :(.
  9. Well i did everything it said in the tutorial which was pretty much what i was doing anyway and still it shows up invisible ingame so I'm at a loss tbh. On a side note i accidently changed the scale settings when i import, does this make any difference and what is the normal settings as its on 1.0 atm.
  10. Have in mind that I started with blender 10 days ago meaning i'm a noob and I figured it out. Just stick with the software versions in the link I posted earlier. Yesterday, I combined Grifters fit jacket and arms, Waldo pants and wasteland wanderer boots just to crank up the possibilities (various meshes, indexes strip/shape data and multiple texture files ). and with a bit of basic modeling, it worked fine. I didnt even make a mod (just overwritten the grifters fit nif with mine - like it is a replacer). And in the blender import panel I set texture search paths to none (i'll post the import/export screens soon). I will try to assign retextured dds files in nifskope these days. Oh, and I exported my nif in the Pose mode with skeleton selected . After I did some testing of bones of course. If its of any importance I didnt use the default skeleton but used the one from the Grifters fit (that was the first nif i imported in the process with the meshes) Again, everything of course was done according to Quetzlsacatanango. Thnx a lot Dude! Just incase iv'e forgot something i don't suppose you could write a basic step by step of what you did from importing through to exporting please. I just realised its not the blender nif versions etc as i did play around with a few weapons awhile back adding scopes etc from one to another and they all turned out fine ingame. But theres alot more involved with clothing etc and im sure its something simple that i'm missing :(.
  11. You've lost me completely what didn't work? Are we talking about those versions of blender etc of the file i sent. :)
  12. Yaaay! I got it! :D Dude, do everything Quetzlsacatanango said. BUT! download all the files from here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30 these versions work like a charm. I was having the same issues. It is probably because incompatibilities of various software versions of blender/nifskope/nif scripts etc... Oh, and just one thing follow the instalation instructions carefully (installation paths) very crucial. In the attachment is what I did in about 20 mins. Without the use of nifskope All that with default import-export options. Hope this will help you. Cheers! Hmm ok ill try but im pretty sure i already checked that when i had problems installing said apps and instead went with newer versions of the above Blender 2.49b PyFFi 2.1.2 Python 2.6.4 Nif Scripts 2.5.1 Nifskope 1.0.21 If someone could double check those before i completely remove them to install older versions from Nexus. Thanks
  13. Ok thanks I'll try that later on when i get home, I'm asuming that the male skeleton is used for the female meshes aswel? I dont recall ever seeing a female folder when using FOMM's BSA unpacker tool that's all. EDIT: Ok it still invisible and i only just noticed that I'm getting alot of texture errors when selecting the mesh in the GECK? Example mipmaps missing on upperbodymale etc. I've not changed any of these from what was there when i imported it so its got to be down to the import/export again?
