Use the console to start the quest manually. setstage SE01Door 10 I think that should start you upon the quest -
I do not know if this can be done, do to my small (but expanding!) knowledge of scripting. If there is a script command/technique to switch textures/meshes it would be very possible. IE: scriptname TurnIntoSkeletion Begin StartScriptEffect [insert amazing script commands here] [more script] [more script] [more script] End

Sounds like you are missing textures for blood I think... I could be wrong. Also, I don't think it is MMM that's causing this, its probably OOO, do you have OOO? Could you post your mod list / load order?

It was worth a shot I suppose. I cannot think of any of your mods that would cause this problem. Try disabling all your mods and do the arena junk?

Also, this goes the same for the "showbirthsignmenu" and the "showclassmenu" commands!

I have an idea! Enable no-clip and walk/fly through the Red Gate. Then go into the Arena and see if your are set up to fight someone (go to the Arena Gate and see if there is an opponent and if the announcer talks) If you are set up to fight someone, do so. If not, go back through the door. If the Red Gate is down... No-Clip through it. Then go back and talk to Owyn (with UV ring or a Raiment on). Cross your fingers and hope it works! ***No-Clip Console Command is tcl***

I have no real idea on how to fix this... This is just a shot in the dark. Unactivate the "Bashed Patch, 0.esp". If that doesn't work, Reinstalled OOO and make sure there are NO REMNANTS of Fcom.

Containers have missing textures.

Actually, I reinstalled it and it works just fine now! I think I may have accidentally not downloaded the main file, as it was not on the TESNexus page, but the Planet Elder Scrolls page. -

Well... I seem to have a problem, still. I moved DLCShiveringIsles.esp to the end of my load order, I still don't see a door or get a quest for it. I tried to go see the Strange Door myself, to see if that would give me the quest/discover the Door (and have it on the map) and such. I had a CTD when I walked onto the island where the Strange Door is supposed to be. :confused: *NOTE* If I go into the Construction Set or the Testing Halls, the SI items are there and I can use them just fine. So that means that SI is loading, sort of. Just not correctly i suppose? :wacko: -

Thanks, I'll have to try putting SI and KotN at the end. BOSS put them in seemingly random spots, why is that? -
Might I suggest using B.O.S.S. To sort your mods? I had very VERY laggy gameplay, and I thought this was due to recently installing Qarl's Texture Pack. I used BOSS a few days later and now my game runs as smooth as a hot knife through butter.

Hmm... First of all, Mod Load list please. and, Try UOP? I used to have a problem with Oblivion starting on Vista, but I reinstalled (several months later) after a re-installation of windows and it worked fine.

Well, I seem to have a problem. I have recently installed FCOM (Followed the instruction on their site). The Meshes for containers appear to be missing (Giant Exclamation Marks where they should be). I might have done the Bashed Patch section incorrectly, as I am not too familiar with that aspect of Wrye Bash. Sadly, but telepathic Tesnexus members are currently away, so you have to deal with normal ones :) I tried my best to find it while posting, but it was impossible to find... :wallbash: I searched for damn near an hour, I could not find it. It could have been removed for some strange reason. If anyone could find it regardless, I'd really appreciate it.

Giving Oblivion to a friend?

You mean download from Steam or Direct 2 Drive right ? Why he doesn't buy the disc, rather than download it. And to give it to a friend, that's quite a bit illegal. But if he buys the game by himself, and you give your mods (not including SI), I don't think giving mods it's illegal. He has purchased it from steam, but who the hell wants to wait 12 days to play a game? Seriously? After it finishes downloading, I'll make him uninstall the one I gave him (backup mods and saves) and install the Steam one of course. If steam only had TESIV multiplayer... >.> -
My friend wants TESIV Oblivion for PC. His internet is ridiculous ******* slow and is dl'ing it at 10 kb/s. It'd take ~12 days to dl it. I HAVE Oblivion/SI and mods (great mods). I was wondering if i could put my installation (C:/Games/TESIV Oblivion) of Oblivion into a massive *** .rar file and he could just extract it and play it right away without having to install anything or dl mods and mod handlers... So, in short... Can i rar my oblivion install folder (C:/Games/TESIV Oblvion) Give it to my friend and just unrar to his /games directory (or w.e) and play right away. Thanks. NOTE: I have Vista 64 bit. He has XP 32 bit.

OK. So, I have no idea if this is even close to possible, but I'll throw the idea out there (I searched and found nothing like this). It would be amazing if some experienced team of modders could combine the game world of Morrowind into the Oblivion game (basically just adding the Morrowind area). You'd be able to just cross the border and... Ta-da! Your in Morrowind! Thoughts: Would it be possible to use the Textures and Files and .bsa's from Morrowind and pack'em into the Oblivion .bsa's somehow? (Did Morrowind even use .bsa's?) Every texture would have to be updated to look good, after all, this is TES IV we're talking about. It should/would have all the quests from Morrowind, all the weapons, armour, objects... If this would be possible, it'd have to be a massive collaboration project, due to the shear epicness of it. Use some Morroblivion? Well, gimme your thoughts on whether or not this would be possible? :thanks:

Hey, on Youtube there was a guy showing off his modded Oblivion and he had a very badass, very awesome modded intro. I googled around and looked everywhere for it however, I couldn't find anything other than mods for skipping the intro (the bit with the sewer and emperor). If anyone knows this mod's name and/or whereabouts... Please halp. Also, Inuyasha hair mod please?
