The only problem I can see with not calling Dawnguard a proper expansion is comparing it to Shivering Isles, when you should be comparing it to Knights of the Nine, which was almost identical in length and scope, but was linear. I like the wall choices idea. Pick that plan before you pick the Small House plan, and you're gold. The same thing they did with the Wings, they should have done with the Main Hall. Just three options, just so you can say they aren't "identical". Don't need to go crazy, this isn't Sims 3. To defend it, Hearthfire really wasn't lacking in anything beyond a little variety, and all of that variety was based on the Main Hall (and possibly Cellar) segment. Everything else felt great; it fit neatly, it was fun, it was worthy of 5 bucks, and when your house is filled with a steward, a housecarl, a bard, your spouce, and two kids (who are CONSTANTLY engaging you, they are easily the best thing about this mod)... the house be crazy. Which reminds me! #) The Housecarl, Steward, and Bard should interact, even in some tiny, tiny fashion, with the Spouce and Children. Currently, they don't acknowledge their existence. Also... #+1) You should be able to fire your Steward. I made my housecarl my steward, though I wanted a slightly busier house, but I can't get rid of the steward job. Not a big deal, though.

LE Lat the carriage drivers finish
DaedalusMachina replied to RaktoastTheSandwichTopper's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I, too, would throw my weight behind this mod. It seemed like they used to finish, but now they don't. -
Would not publicly known features of an expansion not fall under spoilers? The expansion, also, has no hidden features or plot, otherwise I would have.

Let me start off by saying I actually enjoyed Hearthfire, I thought it brought a lot to the game for the really low price tag. It actually seemed to me that it implemented features that seems were in Skyrim's original design. (ie: Grain Mills, you can use them, but they didn't do anything until Hearthfire) But there is a few things I think that could've been better. 1. Let's start with the elephant in the room - There really shouldn't be any reason why all three steadings look identical, especially why each of the three steadings only have a single feature unique from other steadings (Falkreath - Apiary, Morthal - Fishery, Dawnstar - Grain Mill) 2. You can collect eggs from Chickens, why can't you collect milk from Cows? 3. The homestead coming under attack is alright, and makes things interesting, but why must the enemy (sometimes an incredibly powerful giant) be two feet from the front door when you leave? 4. The gift system for children is great. Give them clothes, they wear the last one you gave them. This should also happen for our spouses, just a little differently. 5. Butter churn should be a crafting area, just like the grain mill, but this isn't really important. 6. Grain mill should also be able to make Powdered Mammoth Tusk or Bone Meal, but that's not important, either. 7. Your steward should also be able to fetch you Iron. By the Nine, do you go through a lot of iron. It makes marrying a blacksmith very useful.

LoS and Sound DO effect stealth in Skyrim, and as long as you are less than about 60 in Stealth, and don't have any perks or enchantments to say otherwise, stealth works just like that. Stealth in Skyrim is a bit overpowered, though, and should probably cap about what it would do at level 60. I think the compass should work a lot like it did in Oblivion. It seemed to me that you only see "undiscovered" markers for things you could somewhat see.

The objective is to help Galmar (I think that's his name) clear the cave out. What he says should dictate what you have to do. Failing that, reload.

Dawnguard weird corpse division picture inside
DaedalusMachina replied to sinnerman69's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Was this the Master Vampire that you find fighting a giant Frostbite spider behind a closed porticullis? I could've swore there was another vampire corpse in there with him. -
Voice itself is good. Probably should've led with natural register, the voice you have is a lot more important than the voices you can do. Had some clarity issues, but not very many. Otherwise not bad work.

The world has been destroyed before, and I'm not just talking about pre-history, I'm talking about human history. The Bubonic Plague dropped the human population by 30% (can't remember right off-hand if it was dropped TO 30% or dropped by 30%, but I think the number was right). Either way, that's a BIG deal. If the world ends, it'll be through disease. I'm surprised nobody on here suggested that yet. We're just one super-bacteria away from re-arranging the face of the Earth.

Watching this in case you get your sample linked. There are a couple other voice actors posting here who have posted their work through certain sites, you can probably use the same sites.

I'm a Voice Actor. Let's make some Mods!
DaedalusMachina replied to neon369's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You do good work. I'm working on an expansion where we'll need a few actors to work. It'll be a while before we're at that stage of development, though. -
I for one am not sure how a Free Speech Zone really came into a discussion about blocking troll commentors, but I have two things to say on the subject. 1.) That topic should probably be it's own suggestion. 2.) If you want to talk about something freely, that could happen literally anywhere else. They keep that stuff off Nexus for a very good reason.

I support the idea of giving the Mod Author limited moderating power over their own comments section, as that would ease the workload to the official moderators. Some detracting ideas include that the troll would move on to another user and harass them, and that the system would be abused by certain Mod Authors to block people who are merely against the mod. Some ideas I have of getting around them: If someone is Blocked by a Mod Author, he is flagged. If he is blocked by several Mod Authors, he would have acquired a lot of attention, and the official moderators could see that this person has been blocked by several, and may even be a troll, which would bring a more permanent action. If you give Mod Author's limited numbers of Blocks, they have to choose carefully who to block, thus preventing its likely abuse.

So, to clarify, you can level skills, but cannot take perks, nor will the bestiary of the world ever progress past the weakest iteration? Because if you still want the perks, you need somebody to also rewrite the perk system so that you can still take them even though you don't actually gain levels.

Elsweyr That is all. Edit: I think they made the skip between Obliv. Crisis and Skyrim for Elder Scrolls Online's timeline. Didn't I read somewhere that it would take place between the events of Oblivion and Skyrim?

X3: Terran Conflict has some strategy elements, though it's primarily a space-flight game. I didn't care for Sins of a Solar Empire all that much, though I didn't play it that long, maybe it picked up after a while.

Interesting. I played a bit of Torchlight and didn't think it was all that impressive. I may have to re-examine it.

I would attempt reloading, and failing that, reinstalling Dawnguard.

Tutorials WITHOUT "youtoob"
DaedalusMachina replied to Allannaa's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
There are probably many videos posted which are completely silent, where somebody is typing in what they are doing, and essentially only using visual cues. I tend to see these as often as talking videos. I assume these are acceptable. Also, it is my understanding this thread is meant as a collection of resources, so I don't see the reason to point out that the OP has not simply found them by themselves. -

There's a whole list of sound editors on this very forum. Down there where it says "Audio" under the "Software" Category. -

I tried to build a trade empire in X3. It was going great, and then everything... slowly.. turned to crap. And then it really quickly turned to crap when my UTs started trying to fly in Xenon space, which... you need to be a god to survive.

Vindekkar - Everything they carry is (supposed to) end up in your storage chest when they die. I thought the pawns were designed specifically to circumvent the whole "This talking head is not a fleshed character" because that even fits lore. They aren't fleshed out, because they literally are not supposed to have their own desires or conflicts. I thought that was a really clever workaround for it. On XBox, I didn't notice any "fuzzy resolution" may have worked better on that.
