  2. Something like a program or something that checks your loaded mods, then connects to the web to check for updated versions of them. If there are no updates for it, nothing happens, but if there are, a web page with the mod will show up. The program will search all the sites that host mods for Oblivion, and if a mod appears on more then one site, it will choose the one with the most recent update. I only suggest this because, I have over 500 mods, (at least 350 running when I play) and I can't keep track of them all. Some of the mods I have have some problems like missing textures and things like that, but most of the time when this happens, the mod has all ready been merged into another mod that I have that puts them into categories. After that, finding the problem mod becomes near impossible, so I'd just have to update all the mods in the file. So, some kind of update checker would really help those of us who have alot of mods, but can't keep track of them all after downloading. So, if anyone is able to make this kind of program or something, I'm sure alot of people will appreciate it. P.S. I have every file I've downloaded on TESNexus tracked, but that doesn't help me in the least. P.P.S. The thing I'm talking about mostly is something that FireFox has, it has an update checker for your addons that, will automaticly check for updates to your installed addons.
  3. bump. Anyone have the time to begin work on this? It doesn't have to be an exclusive project for a single person to do. If someone can do it in their free time when they have nothing else to do, it would be great.
  4. I know, I would like someone to make it. I would also do it myself if I had any skill at all in the areas this would take, but alas, I don't. I had another topic awhile ago that someone said they were going to try and make some of this, but I haven't heard from them in awhile, so I reposted it with some updates.

  7. I want to personalize my character(s) armor alot more then I all ready have. Currently, I've only taken things from other mods and modified them to my liking, but only when it comes to names and enchantments. Base Mesh for all Armor: Daedric What I'm looking for: Graphical: All images should be either Black with a red outline, or all white with a black outline Cuirass - Twin dragons in flight Greaves - Wingless dragons going in different directions on the legs Gauntlets - Same as cuirass Boots - Same as greaves Helm - None Robe - Scales along the chest and sides, should also go over all armor but still allow all pieces to be equipped.   8. I can't remember the link, but on the official Bethesda forums, they have a press release that says any use of Morrowind content in Oblivion mods is strictly forbidden. Morrowblivion, was made before this release. If someone wants to make a mod for Oblivion that lets you go to Morrowind, they have to create everything from scratch. Like SoVvM, which is Solstiem, Vvardenfell, and Mournhold, but the creators made everything themselves. No resources from Morrowind were used. I'm sure it's possible to make it, but if I remember correctly, the Manly Strides mod was very complicated for something as simple as a walking animation.
  9. Bethesda has forbidden the release of any textures/models/meshes etc. from Morrowind in mods for Oblivion. If someone were to do this, the best that they could do is have two windows open, one with the Morrowind werewolf, and one with a werewolf made from scratch. If the dimensions are readable in one of those modeling programs, then it would be a simple matter. I'm sure it's allowed as long as it's not a direct port of Morrowind resources.
  10. Yeah, the mod with the bike is Fenrir or something close to it. Maybe Fenrir's Hellbike or something. But it's there. But as far as cars go, in the world of Oblivion, theres no way for it to fit. If you wanted a car to travel around in, you'd likely have to make it fly and/or remove all of the trees and rocks in the game just so the area is wide enough to fit a car.

  12. They weren't added to the game. They are just textures and meshes for new gems. I looked at them in the CS, and it was purple, indicating a missing texture. I tried several different ones and they all showed the same thing. So, there's no ESP or ESM that puts these in the game. I was hoping to add them to my own mod, but unless I can find the one I got them from to see if it's updated, I don't know. Edit: Also, I can't use RefScope because my Oblivion can't support OBSE. I got it from Direct2Drive and they have the EXE encrypted.
  13. That added things like spheres and orbs to the game. I don't think it came with an ESP or ESM, but I'm trying to find an updated version because the ones I have now, the textures on them are all purple. I'm not sure if it came from Nexus or some other Oblivion mod site though, but since this is the best place for mods and modders, it's the best place to find an answer.
  14. Well, I did kinda go overboard with the specifics I know...I just put what came to mind when I was thinking of a mod I made for Oblivion. I'd do it myself, if I figured out how to use the GECK, not for lack of trying mind you, I'm just used to the Oblivion CS so much that I find it difficult to use the GECK. Much of it can be changed to fit who ever makes it preferences, at that point I might have gotten used to the GECK enough to just modify it myself to my liking.

  16. I think your misunderstanding. My interpretation of this is that s/he wants it to be permanent. So it's a werewolf body that isn't an item that can be removed to show a human body underneath. The mods you listed add a lycan body suit, but no real werewolves that can be played as a custom race.
  17. Gecko is the best thing I've found, but it has a bit of a flaw. It has a limited amount of memory that can be used for the merging. Big mods won't merge correctly because the program runs out of memory to use. I think it needs to be re-made with another program that has no memory limits.
  18. I would like a dragon-style staff Base: Staff of Worms Color: Black with Gold Trim Texture: I couldn't find any images that would be usable, so I can only give a description. Description: Serpentine body coiling a metal staff, topped with a dragon head. The mouth should be open, maybe with a small ruby shaped like flames. Red Diamond eyes too.
  19. I did, it was gone. But the thing is, I have over 230 mods running, so it's pretty much impossible for me to isolate the offending mod. I did however narrow it down to only about 30 or something. I forget because I re-enabled them after I pressed the button.

  21. One of the "Press Block" buttons in Firaga Dorn won't move, it doesn't activate at all. I've checked the mod in TES4Edit and it doesn't seem to be missing anything. I also re-downloaded all of the files for the mod and reinstalled it, but the button still won't work. I don't feel like using "noclip" to get to the next part, and I'd like to be able to use the Mana Well all week instead of just 1 day a week. And ideas? Personally, I think it's just a missing activator file or script for this specific button because all the other ones I've tried work fine.

  23. I'm wonding if I can use FOMM's package manager to install mods even if they don't have a FOMOD folder thing or whatever. Like just picking a RAR, ZIP, or 7z file in the package manager and activating it. Would this work? I'm trying to get my mods to work without any difficulties, because recently my game began crashing when trying to enter Megaton, then textures started dissappearing. I figured it had to do with the amount of mods I was running (which was a little over 140 at the time) So, I've since deleted all my mods and am reinstalling the most vital ones (for me at least) like FOOK, and an auto-sorter for my megaton house.
