  1. Thanks Tannin I have played around with it a bit more and something is definitely screwy. Cloned a profile and one worked ok apart from not enabling one mod that should have been. Then when trying to create a new profile all the plugins where disabled again. Ill see if I can get clear whats going on (it's a bit random) and log it as feedback through vortex. Thanks for the tips regarding the Plugins.txt file will keep an eye on it.
  2. Not really, but on my last troubleshooting pass I went back to a vanilla profile to see if the game was CTD in that location (and it did) Have resolved that now.... So I restored my backup clone profile, and although all the right mods are present, it doesn't seem to save the state at all. All plugins were set to disabled. This gets frustrating because with esp's on 255 and using a bashed patch it gets tricky to go through every time and make sure the right plugins remain enabled. I'm using the latest build as of today, but I think this has always been an issue for me.
  3. Thanks for the reply Sorry just had a chance to review this. No failure messages or anything just did not work as I expected it too. Most of the Plugins where disabled. I assume its my lack of understanding about how it works. Basically I cloned the enabled profile to have a Backup of my existing enabled configuration, before I started troubleshooting with the enabled profile. I expected to be able to enable the cloned profile to go back to the previously fully enabled state if needed. Are you saying I should clone the profile and then enable the clone to do this sort of thing? (troubleshooting bad mods)
  4. Apologies if this has been brought up or is a known issue. I couldn't find anything on it. The profile system just doesn't seem to be working right. But i thought I would post here before leaving feedback or a bug report in case I am just doing something dumb. I cloned a profile of a completed 255 esp modded game and while troubleshooting a CTD at Ivanstead problem. Which ended up being due to a cleaned Bethesda esm. (interesting in itself.) After fixing the issue and attempting to go back to the profile. I find it hasn't saved the latest state and I was now missing 10 mods that had been installed and many plugins where disabled. soooo. Does it not save the current state of the enabled profile at all times?If not how do you force it to do so?I have tried cloning to another profile but it doesn't seem to be cloning the complete enabled profiles list either. =/
  5. I recently had this problem too. Turns out it was something a bit different. I play the game using 3dvision in stereoscopic 3d, and this was conflicting with enb
  6. Ok thanks for your responses Grestorn. Yes it was due to the groups the mods where currently set too. So I have it sorted out now. Only issue I really have now is the plugin merges. Every guide I have seen suggest to merge only the esps loaded close to each other. Regardless if this is true or not. It's a bit confusing to go through such a long list to nominate best potential candidates with how loot sorts things. I understand this is not really a vortex issue, but any advice on this front would be appreciated or suggestions how to manage this better

  9. Well to give you a big example. I am following the Nordic Skyrim guide on the nexus site and it has a load order doc that goes with it, which suggests otherwise than what LOOT does. Now normally I would just accept what LOOT decided was correct, but I am seeing some issues in game than I am trying to troubleshoot that seem to be load order issues but hard to pin down. Also I have just reached the 255 plugin limit even with a bashed patch and need to start thinking about merging appropriate plugins. Vortex's stubbornness around loot order and how it displays such a long list of plugins is making this a bit tricky Keep in mind I am not bashing Vortex it's already the best mod manager I have ever used, but this is the one area of frustration for me.
  10. I understand this. However LOOT is not always correct in priority exactly how you describe, and I am having trouble making small adjustments to correct it. Even get crazy Cyclic violation errors that seems to reference mods without rules in place at all and not even anywhere near the mods I have been trying to adjust. Then with some voodoo and playing around it will finally accept it, only to complain about some other seemingly unrelated violation later. It's extremely cumbersome if it's not buggy....
  11. I have found this new system wonderful so far. The main issue I have is the load order. If an algorithmic way is superior, then fine, I am willing to keep an open mind. But I am following a guide which clearly recommends a specific load order and I am finding it near impossible to set it this way using the tools available, so if it's possible it's overly tedious., it's the first part of this software I haven't been able to get my head around so I don't know if its a design flaw or indication it needs to be the first bit documented.
  12. Exactly. Yes SSE The Open cities patch is the issue only, the others report they are ruining the correct form version. It's still in form 43 and if convert it the mod stops working altogether. At this point I might just have to use missives instead but wanted the OBIS bounties for open cites as well. Unless of course someone knows a solution. =)
  13. Seriously find an Alternative. I found myself in the same boat last week. Just crashed and refused to work again after simply uninstalling a texture mod. After losing 2 weeks spent modding it was the straw that broken the camels back for me. Tried out Vortex. It's already by far superior. Try it or move to mod manager 2, and thank me later.
  14. Yeah, cannot get it to work at all, I guess I will leave this one as form 43 and hope for the best. :confused:
