I spared Danse, but when I went outside the bunker, he was on his knees with Elder Maxson standing by him. After a short conversation Maxson shot him. Did I do something wrong?

I've been playing computer games for over 30 years, starting with a Commodore Vic 20 and I have always built my computers with a gaming spec, but lately I've lost interest in games. I started Witcher 3 then stopped playing, I started Dragon Age Inquisition, then stopped playing. I was beginning to wonder why I'd bothered upgrading my computer (again). Then came Fallout 4 and I was hooked, it has taken up large chunks of the little spare time I have, not just doing quests, but building bases. I'm currently up to Level 64 with Mk VI X-01 Power Armour. I've modded the hell out of it and I'm loving it. It's got me back into gaming late into the night and I'm looking forward to starting The Witcher and Dragon Age again if/when I finish FO4.

My PC is on 24/7, I click the Steam icon, then, while it's doing it's thing, start NMM, click the start FO4 button at the top of NMM, then go downstairs and make a coffee. Come back up, drink coffee, by which time I can select "click any button to start" I moved Fallout 4 to a spare SSD and finally worked out how to install NMM 0.61.14 and now it starts in about 15 seconds, so a HUGE improvement.

When I did the quest to defend the Castle against the Institute, we fought off the synths and Coursers, then about 12 of my settlers attacked us as well. Once we killed them all, I noticed that they all had 1 synth item. I didn't know about the infiltrators. I'm up to level 61 and (as far as I know) Sanctuary has only been attacked once. I've got no walls around it, just turrets by the bridge and on the upper level of a house/workshop that I built at the back of Sanctuary.
