In response to post #24887219. Agreed. Heck, if anything, the missed opportunity on Bethsoft's side of things is that they could have been bundling "core experience" enhancing mods, helping the authors hash out incompatibilities, and releasing those as a DLC-sized bundle. It would create a legit value-for-profit framework as well as providing the necessary QC to protect consumers. I'm sure other kinds of mods could be bundled similarly. It would also create a "suburbs" separate from, yet complimentary to the "wild west". :) -

In response to post #24871339. Unfortunate, but very very true, man. I just rushed my last save to endgame because I plan on flushing the deck. I will not say that I didn't enjoy seeing the artistry or the contributions made by some of the mods I used on this run; as a narrative-oriented player, one of the things I enjoy about modding a game is how we each can alter the narrative for each other's experience of the game...but I'm definitely going to have to reassess my posture on a few things going forward. -

In response to post #24870864. This is a five-star post, sir. You raise several salient points, I too would be interested in seeing the data. Heck, I know my own "traffic" increased exponentially over this weekend. What can I say, I'm normally not very chatty. :) -

In response to post #24871519. #24873989, #24876239 are all replies on the same post. Already working on it. I only started become active recently. In on of the previous topics D0 posted on this clusterf*ck of a topic, I mentioned that I had only begun teaching myself how to use the tools of skyrim modding. I'm still not sure where or how (or even IF) I'll be releasing what I create, but it'll happen. :) One thing is for certain: If I ever do release my creations to the world at-large, it will never be for profit. It will never be on the Steam Workshop. -

I do try to avoid name calling, but I will call stupid behavior what it is. Most of this thread is full of stupid. Go ahead, accept Bethesda's offer. I bet every single one of you won't see a single bit of useful profit from anything you create. If you think trash-talking or belittling part of the community, or attempting to invalidate the opinions of one part of the community will net you anything, you are incorrect. Stop being stupid. Be productive instead. -

In response to post #24878574. #24878624, #24879604 are all replies on the same post. Money can make people stupid. It's a shame, really. Of all the modders who hopped on valve's offer, He's probably the only one I'd have cashed out for. Not like that though. Never like that. This issue has become so toxic and contentious I can't even donate in good faith now. Too much attitude, too many accusations. I'll see where things lie after a cool-down period. -

In response to post #24774004. #24775424 is also a reply to the same post. @Hadto I know, right? With all the extra sales and increased longevity, There's a handful of core mod developments that definitely should have gotten contract checks from bethsoft. -

In response to post #24761029. Actually, I think we've sussed out the problem with their numbers. They're only able to track what goes down on the workshop, not here or (the nameless place), or ModDB, etc. Sooo, yeah. That's the only way I can see their numbers without calling them flat out liars.
