  1. Got it working in fullscreen now, I reduced the Antialiasing setting, no flickering anymore. -case closed-
  2. It ran perfectly fine before I deinstalled it a few months ago. I just reinstalled the game and came up with this weird mouse flickering. In NWN 2 I just needed to disable the Hardware cursor in the corresponding ini file, so the solution should be quite similar I think. Drivers are all up to date, the kit is reconizing everything.
  3. As the title says, I had the same problem with Neverwinter Nights 2 but was able to solve the problem by editing the ini files, unfortunately this doesn't work with DA. As soon as the game launches, the screen goes black and all you can see is a flickering game cursor. It is however possible to play the game in windowed mode but that's no proper solution for me. Any thoughts or ideas? Has anyone experienced the same problem? Win 7 x64 btw
  4. Open the console, click on him and type "resurrect" (without quotes) into the console and he'll be fine again.
  5. HDR is more intensive than Bloom because of the dynamic lightning. But the difference in terms of performance is only marginal and I prefer HDR in Fallout 3 as well as Oblivion since I think it looks more realistic and believable.
  6. It's very likely that this is caused by either the roleplayer mod or another one. I've had the same problem once. You could try changing your race just before you enter the pod and when you are done with Tranquility Lane you can change your race back to ghoul.
  7. Type this into the console: setactorfullname "Firstname Lastname" (Use the quotes if the name has spaces)
  8. What seems to solve this problem is to save and reload the game, next time you load the game the "gap" will be gone. At least this works for me.
  9. They are both more than capable of running Fallout 3 at max settings, especially the second one with the 1024MB GeForce GT 230M, even upgradeable. The first has a pretty tiny HD (320GB) if you consider the quite hefty price and intend playing other games on it. Except for the price, there's nothing that speaks for the first one (Dell) if you compare it with the second one (HP) which is clearly superior in terms of performance.
  10. Maybe your HD is heavily fragmented, use a defragmentation utility like windows defrag to check if that's the case. Also, do other games run fine or is it just FO3 causing a lagfest?
  11. It's also possible that your problem is savegame related, meaning that reinstalling and using the same save will probably not fix it as the mods data is written into the savegame. Have you tried leveling up on a different savegame?
  12. If you happen to use FOOK 2, there's a level up fix: FOOK 2 level up fix.
  13. I was also wondering why the monitors were still displaying vital signs when I played through the storyline for the first time. But it seems the game developers simply forgot or didn't bother changing the monitors display accordingly.
  14. There is no way to rescue the civilians in the pods, they are dead after the failsafe is activated and thus released from their otherwise endless torment. Dr Stanislaus Braun however, is still alive and trapped alone in the Tranquility Lane simulation. I don't think there are any mods that allow you to rescue the occupants, but I might be wrong though. As for the console command, you could use the code player.placeatme 000bd693 to place him right in front of you, but you would have no real option to talk to him, as interacting with Braun outside of the simulation was never intended to be part of the game.
  15. I recommend checking out this: Tamriel NPCs Revamped
