  1. Just what the title says...
  2. Reinstalling SkyUI (I guess just moving the skyui.* files out of data, loading a saved game, quitting the game without saving, and moving the skyui.* files back into data) doesn't work. Also, I refuse to use a 3rd-party mod manager.
  3. SkyUI doesn't work for me and I'm not using NMM, LOOT, BOSS, or whatever other unnecessary, nonsensical, 3rd-party app to clutter up Skyrim modding even more! SKSE is loaded and working fine too; using Skyrim: Special Edition. Now what?
  4. No mod configuration menu to me either and I only have SKSE and SkyUI enabled, yet no UI change.
  5. How about without NMM or in-game? Skyrim keeps crashing (in ucrtbase.dll according to Windows app error log) on me now after executing any game exe (normal, loader, SKSE) after I logged into bethesda.net from in-game "mod" menu and enabled 3 mods: SKSE, saddlebags, and SkyUI. I don't remember the order but I didn't change it from the default and can't get back into the game to change/disable the mods! How to do it manually? I lookd in skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini but no luck. Got the game to work by moving all mod files out of "data" folder and into "mods" folder (where they were no longer recognized by the game as mods, oddly). Game loaded fine so I put back horse saddlebags and game loaded but could not access horse inventory or even use my horse (without mod too). :/
  6. Need a way to disable this annoying chromatic abberation effect!
  7. When driving the buggy, is there a way to allow the camera to rotate more so it doesn't stop at 90 degrees in either direction?
  8. I want to get rid of this sun fade/fog/glare/gradient/haze effect. I've tried: In fallout4.ini: [Weather] fSunBaseSize=100;425 fSunGlareSize=0;600 Then I tried changing ..\Fallout 4\data\textures\sky\sun_glare.dds but no effect. I think I have to change sun.dds in that same folder to one with much less gradient/fade outside the central circle. Unfortunately, GIMP seems to be the only image editor capable of handling Fallout 4's DDS format, and I have no experience using GIMP...
  9. OK, looks like DEF_INV - Improved inventory beta can have much longer weapon (and probably armor but haven't tried) names up to 127 characters. It's a bit of a pain to set up though. And Ability to rename EVERY armor piece at crafting station (lame name) has just appeared but I haven't tried it.
  10. Is this possible? It's especially annoying because the weapon name, once renamed, does not even allow the same number of characters it originally had the second before!
  11. There's a mod that allows power to work wirelessly over various distances: Power Conduits and Pylons - Increased Power Radius
  12. Long (and infinite) power line lengths, courtesy Puma. :)
  13. Electric power lines seem to only be able to extend about 15m before going red. So annoying. Any way to extend these?
  14. Using a shovel/pickaxe should emit debris like dirt, rocks, sparks, metal shards, etc. where the shovel/pickaxe impacts the dirt/rock. In cold environments, breath should be visible.
  15. Actually, for me, it's more towards being attracted to a strong independent woman who I believe would be a good role model and mother of our children. Psychology is very subjective so you shouldn't be so quick to judge others without thinking things through and seeing multiple sides first.
  16. Yea, I hate going back to the same place and finding it repopulated with enemies I already wiped out before. I hate games in general that have spawn points because it's unrealistic and cheating, which is why I don't bother playing most mindless FPSes (Halo, Quake, Unreal, et al). But, as game designers mature, so too hopefully their programming and design capacity matures, bringing more evolutionarily advanced and thoughtful games that hopefully attract a similar audience.
  17. I am getting a stop:0x0000008e error (no DLL/module specified) after I start Dead Money and the guy starts talking to me (when I can ask questions). I have no mods and just all the DLCs installed, and not in hardcore mode. Haven't tried other DLCs yet since I haven't come across how to enter them in the game yet.
  18. A well-designed app won't crash when it runs out of video memory--that's just pathetic. That's why system memory and virtual memory exist. Duh.
  19. I think it might be an IRQ conflict but I can't get the motherboard audio (multimedia controller) to have a different IRQ than the video card (not motherboard-integrated) because the BIOS shows them as on the same bus or whatever (unlike when I put in the sound card I can give it a different IRQ than the video card but I still get the freeze/lockup and multicolored patterns and/or gray/grey flickering box). Am also trying to get rid of the loading screens in both Fallout 3 and NV but doesn't matter what I do to the fallout.ini, falloutprefs.ini, and fallout_default.ini files--nothing seems to make a difference. Edit: I should mention that I am only using the DLCs (all current ones) in Fallout: New Vegas, and only 2 mods (no DLCs) in Fallout 3 (which I have tried disabling but no effect). I will try disabling the NV DLCs but I doubt it will have any effect either... Well, if anyone cares, I think the problem I'm having with Fallout 3 is due to the audio CODEC because everytime a new song on the radio would end, the freeze/pause happens. After changing the audio CODEC priority in Windows "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel the freezing went away (for the radio anyway) but still occurs at other random times. I was also getting the freeze almost every time the scene changed (going back into the wasteland from an enclosed environment, etc). I even got a crash after disabling AC3's CODEC to use wave output vs. DirectSound. Sheesh...this game is WAY too finicky about audio! Ridiculous I should even have to dork with the CODECs in the first place when EVERY FREAKIN' OTHER PC GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED (since ~1985, yo) has never even had an issue with CODECs.
  20. For me, on average, every few minutes, Fallout 3 will just freeze/pause for like 15 seconds or so. It doesn't matter if my character is moving or just standing still, inside or outside, in a conversation or not, in pipboy or not, etc. Very annoying/frustrating/irritating to play the game like this! Using the latest version (1.7.0.3) but it's been like this since the original release version. I tried adding these lines to fallout.ini's "[general]" section with no effect: bUseThreadedAI=1 iNumHWThreads=2 Also tried Muspellheim's ini tweaks but no change. Oddly, Fallout: New Vegas, Morrowind, and Skyrim (which all use the Gamebyro engine and are developed by Bethesda) don't have this problem... However, Fallout: New Vegas suffers from gradual stuttering (memory leak?) with an eventual system freeze/hang (sometimes with multicolored patterns and the top 1/3 of the screen covered in a flickering gray/grey box, and audio stuttering). Sometimes it recovers if I alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del but usually not and I'm forced to reboot the system. I thought it might be a conflict with my sound card so I removed it and used the motherboard audio but, while it has yet to do the flickering and multicolored patterns, it will just crash outright with this error: I think it might be an IRQ conflict but I can't get the motherboard audio (multimedia controller) to have a different IRQ than the video card (not motherboard-integrated) because the BIOS shows them as on the same bus or whatever (unlike when I put in the sound card I can give it a different IRQ than the video card but I still get the freeze/lockup and multicolored patterns and/or gray/grey flickering box).
