  1. I suppose you could open the SSE texture and see how it compares to the Oldrim texture in Photoshop, especially in the channels department.
  2. There is a quality difference but you won't (can't?) notice it. You can safely set it to its lowest setting. To judge for yourself reddit Fallout 4 godrays thread
  3. Also interested. Does it still work the same as in the original, same issues?
  4. Ground cover seems good, more dense. Lighting is good (excluding the tint) not much to say about it really. This release is mostly a visual, performance and stability upgrade; everything else about it is vanilla. Once the mods start rolling in it'll get better. That being said its an important upgrade, again: dx11, x64 should make a difference, we'll see. Sticking to the original for now mainly for the gameplay mods.
  5. In response to post #43549745. #43549900, #43569515, #43570325 are all replies on the same post. Also kryptopyr.
  6. Just remember the first trailer we got for Skyrim. While it does look pretty good (to me) I'll still take it with a grain of salt. Still excited tho, just cautiously so.
  7. There should have been a more open conversation between 'Thesda and the moding community. People were hurt, trust was broken, respect lost, but we'll recuperate. I hope we all have learned from all of this and come out a little bit wiser out the other end.
  8. In response to post #24563144. Why would you apply that logic on the Nexus but not apply it on the Workshop? Valve profits from the Workshop too, they profit even more now.
  9. Yes, but millionaire football players are whats wrong with football. Theres not as much passion for the game anymore as there was in the era of Maradona and earlier. Overpricing the job they do and exploiting it is whats ruining any sport (F1?). I think money will ruin things, why would you give away something for free if you can now profit from it? But on the other hand, this: "Why are you complaining? Mod authors invest a lot of time and put in a lot of work to give you all of this. For free." This won't work anymore, and people will judge a mod harsher, a LOT harsher, when they have to pay for it. Jus as you said, there's enough drama as it is, with money involved... God help us.
  10. A couple of "wayshrines" could be scattered throughout the wilderness; they should be IN the wild rather than anywhere near anything civilized. They'd be inactive by default and to activate them you need to make a sacrifice, that way not everyone can just use these things. To be able to activate it you need to have HP, MP, SP above a certain amount. While activating it your HP, MP, SP get damaged 100 points each (or increase/decrease the number to whatever). The "wayshrines" wouldn't just teleport you to to a different one, they teleport you to a different plane (a small room, a plane of oblivion with no alignment, a tiny one). The first time you activate a "wayshrine" and try to teleport here, you'd bee greeted by the sight of several dead (not undead or ghost) adventurers and some unfriendly dremoras (that's why only a few can use these wayshrines). The dremoras are NOT respawning, they spawn only when you activate a wayshrine that's been inactve (so only once per wayshrine). After all of them are activated, no more dremoras spawn. While in the mini-plane of oblivion you're presented with "gates" that represent shrines on nirn, walk through and you teleport to its shrine, but to be able to teleport there you first have to activate it on nirn, until then the gates are sealed. Meshes for the gates could be the oblivion gate ones.
  11. Theres THIS but as you can see its for Fallout. So i tought that bringing it to Skyrim wouldn't be impossible since it was done in Fallout 3. Here are some pics done in PS just to get a sense of what I'm talking about:
  12. This looks surprisingly good. I like it. It's not that hard to make if you try to play around a 3D modeling program (blender, 3ds max etc.) I might give it a go, but seeing that there is already a Red Eagle replacer, I'm not sure...
  13. I found something, "Full Male Body Mesh" by Sundracon. It's basically vanilla body without the flap AND the gaping hole in the waist area. I'll stick with that.
