  1. I still don't like the redesign of the Nexus sites at all, but this tool in contrast certainly sounds like a nice idea. If it really does what is promised, it would be quite helpful indeed. And releasing this tool under the GPL is something that I and certainly many other people appreciate.
  2. There's no actual reason why the fixed width should be mandatory. This isn't the Web 1.0 anymore. I would also appreciate if people would stop posting nonsense like "people just fear change". Not every change is per se a good thing.
  3. Even on a 5:4 screen, there's a lot of unused space. And to reiterate a complaint from someone else: Why do I need to click on a button to log in, when previously I could just press the return key when I had entered the password? Granted, that complaint is minor in comparison to others that this new layout brought, but it's inconvenient and unnecessary nevertheless. If I might say so, this redesign reminds a bit of the changes from DA:O to DA 2. But at least the actual content on the Nexus sites remains of high quality, even if it is more difficult and inconvenient to find.
  4. I still don't like this new layout. It looks generic and bland, doesn't make proper use of the available space, and most importantly it's not very user friendly. I would call it another one of those instances where "change" isn't automatically a good thing. Because usually, something should only be changed if it's a change for the better, and in this case I certainly can't recognize any improvements for me as the user. That said, I'm of course still grateful for the existence of these sites, and if the changes help to reduce the required work or costs, I suppose that's a good thing.
  5. I, too, would appreciate an option to continue using the old layout. Frankly, I don't understand why it needs to change anyway. The current design looks good, is well thought out and has a very good usability. Actually, I always thought that it's a very good example of how such a site should be designed. Why change something that works very well? It's a mistake that too many game developers already make. The new layout looks generic, and to hide many important elements behind mouse-over menus seems quite unnecessary, even more so since a lot of space seems to remain unused. That said, I appreciate the Nexus sites far too much for their content to care much about the layout.
