  1. Very true. Have you thought about utilizing the 50% version of the animated wings? Since the race isn't 'flight capable'?
  2. Sorry, I believe what I meant was misunderstood or I misunderstood the problem at hand. I was under the impression that the problem stemmed from having maxed out the Smithing, Alchemy, and Enchanting perks with zero investment in combat skills, resulting in an imbalance. My solution was more for correcting that scenario than a general one.
  3. Wouldn't it be simpler, though immersion breaking, to level the crafting by doing (ie: you craft all your cool gear, make your cool potions, enchant your cool enchantments) and then console command your level back down to a 'reasonable' level? You'd still have the perks from the non-combat skills, you wouldn't have an inflated 'false' level, and wouldn't get gimped by uber-mobs. You could even do the same to the three stats to put them back at reasonable levels. And when you level-cap, you can simply Legendary some of your nigh-on-useless skills to continue levelling up.
  4. I can understand the crammed schedule problems. On a side note, looking at the character you're wanting, I'd suggest adding the 'flying mod' as well. It's still beta, but it seems to work pretty decent, and gives you another aspect of draconian style.
  5. I'm sadly no modder, but I have to say, this is a VERY well thought out idea. Perhaps there is a "Alternative Life" mod you can use to make the beginning. The wing coloration sounds like it'd be a cinch in the Creation Kit thingy (not entirely sure as I've not used it myself.) Sorry that this isn't too helpful, but I really like the direction you are going with.
  6. Awesome, thank you both for the quick repsonses!
  7. Greetings forum goers! I was wondering if anyone could either A: point me in the right direction, or B: help a complete modding noob. I LOVE the Breton abilities, but I enjoy the Bosmer race over the Breton...So, A: is there a Bosmer with Breton abilities already or will I need to make my own? And B: can anyone perhaps point me in the right direction as to how to go about that? And lastly, if making one is out of league for a beginner, would anyone be willing to help me out?
  8. Hello all. I have what I hope to is a spiffy idea for a race in Skyrim. Tinker Elves! Now, sadly, I lack the know how on molding myself, so I come to you talented modders for help. The idea is pretty straightforward. An eleven offshoot of Dwemer. +5 to smithing, alchemy, enchanting, speech, and alteration. A racial power that bumps up creating items once a day (similar to a fortify potion), and a racial ability of +50 stamina. So....anyone interested in helping a guy out?
  9. Thank you very much for the swift reply!
  10. Hello and good morning/afternoon/evening. First time posting here on The Nexus, so please excuse me if I am in the wrong place with this. I'll get right to it, Skyrim is a BEAUTIFUL game, but the people seem to be lacking in my view. I've seen a bunch of 'body' mods and 'armor' mods in my Google searches, but it's so overwhelming I don't know where to start! I really just want to start small, as Skyrim is installed on my laptop, and just having more in-depth character detail seemed a good place. What I'm getting at is, what mods would/should I download and how to I implement them? Thank you for your time! ^_^
