  1. SG! So good to see you back! I finished your mods and put Fallout NV down. Really I did. None of the baddies are bad enough, none of the goodies flawed enough (naievete is pretty much their thing, which is with the style, but really), and my Courier got tempered into a level 40 gunslinger by your work. I haven't done anything but Side Bets missions and three of the DLCs in the vanilla game, but I can't be killed. Even the vaquero for one of your poster bounties, some guy who ambushes you at the 'southern passage' - even he, and all his goons, were no match. Close, but alone they all ate it. Anyway, EXCITED. February! s#*!! There goes a month! ;D
  2. Hey man! Thanks for the review! I wanna break my scripting chops on Hydra next up. In the new year? Who knows? On Superstim: that's part of the magic. It gives you a one or the other choice; if you've already screwed yourself on stims, the super is suicide. Now, there is a mod for bedrolls (can't remember which) but there's also one in Lonesome Road, which I just completed. I may get rid of the damned thing because there's an urgency to wandering around, looking for a place to camp when your sleep is over 900. And a romanticism to bedding down next to a caravan or the splayed corpses of a bunch of vipers you just mutilated for, literally, strips of dirty cardboard. Also, Legion assassins really make for an irritation when you're about to launch an op but need to go nap because one of em broke your ribs with a super sledge. I'm still fiddling with this, but will let you know when there's an update. Track it.
  3. That's an awesome idea! I like it a lot. I'll get it and endorse when you release it. Yeah. I'm a sniper, so I keep shooting the AMRs to the ground. It's the bastards with the super sledges I keep getting owned by. And the death claws. The ambushes in this DLC are tougher than Someguy's and the one in the camper - having that death claw drop onto the top of it like that scared the s#*! out of me. On the Cass armor, how hard would it be to switch the pants out? Russel and I are already wearing the khakis with bandana, so three would be a little ridiculous. I'd just go for standard brown ranger pants.
  4. In my home, I have about 300 cartons of cigarettes, 30,000 caps, nine bars of gold, 600 pre war monies, and lots of little NCR bills and legion coin. I could probably open all those cartons, go to GR, buy me a new rifle. s#*!, I could go all Metro and just trade bullets. I handload my rounds into better stuff, so could turn a profit. Anyway, there's my two [currency]. Sully somewhat inspired that. :D
  5. I agree with Danny - even Fiends, who take a totally fake number of drugs, are beefier because each one of them is sort of an Alpha in his own special way. I just play with NVR on and that satisfies my need for malnourished folks. Great frigging mod.
  6. Devin! This thing is brilliant! I'm in the Divide right now, and aside from getting bushwhacked every ten minutes, I'm loading ED-E down with riot armor to take home for my pallies. This one would work PERFECT for Cass. Mind if I nip a copy? For personal use, unless I can write an epic that revolves around Cass wearing her jacket.
  7. Holy s#*!. I wasn't even thinking that. With the light-hearted moral dilemmas in the vanilla game, my courier has gotten zilch in the way of character development (it's easy to be a good guy; I think you literally need to just wipe out innocents en masse in order to be bad, there's no conflict), but with Someguy's mods, there's definitely been a change, and a lot of little personal atrocities witnessed and committed, so if old Glanty did a nihilist's 'holier than thou' routine, daaaammmnn. That would be quite something. Bravo, Pwinkle.
  8. I have a tendency to get lost in some underground locations, but have started using specific garbage to mark my way. Namely, cigarette butts from Light Up & Smoke. Sure, for RP purposes, any of the enemies I've made in NVB can figure out where I've been, but they seem to do that anyway. This just lends explanation. Now, is there a way to hot key a drop of a specific item? Can someone help me script that?
  9. Why not have the hive brain be off in a colony under a rock, sending out what amounts to lobotomites? Courier has dealt with these! No problem! But then it is revealed later all the stuff in the spoilers. I really like the idea of the unwilling slave thing. Kind of like the crab heads in HL. They scream for help and all you can give them is release. But also, creating conflict with an apparently benign computer overlord could be even better.
  10. Look up poco bueno. I use it on top of nmc. Also, get NVR. That is my die hard can't play without mod.
  11. Hmm. Hive AI or hive brain? Awesome idea either way!
  12. Jesus Monkey Burning Christ I think that's the central pivot. That's frigging intense. The first few in the docking bay, no karma loss, but after that, you get a hit every time you slaughter one. Totally isolated and alone. Buggerall that would be quite something. Of course, you'd have to play it HC to really beef up that isolationism.
  13. This looks awesome!!! Is love to work on a project like this. Right now, I'm working on a mod with a psychotic AI, so we'll see how it turns out. If the thing is any good, maybe I could write this one? I'm thinking Big Empty isolated AI, or should it be fully rogue and corrupting the whole joint?
