In Fallout 3 you may remember the Coyote Reflex power armor. I also helped the author port this to new vegas. What I am looking for is just a simple replace of the meshes and textures of the daedric armor with the coyote reflex armor. I do not really care about lore either. This is just for my personal use, if someone ends up doing this for me, you can decide whether or not to post it. I could probably do it myself if the CK was out because I may kill someone or something nearby if i have to deal with nifskope or blender, etc. If the textures/meshes cannot be readily found I will pm them. i think someone did a set of armor, maybe not like that idk i didnt download it, but I DO remember seeing new vegas armor in recent files at the nexus

i think you would have to go into geck and change each npc's behavior characteristics. im new to modding, so im not sure what to change it to.

i made a laser designator with all the appropriate stats and scripts, but the missile launcher is just not a good weapon for this. get and install fose, fomm, and archiveinvalidation invalidated. these will allow you to run mods. for mods, i would get coyote reflex armor, 20th century weapons, calibr, xcalibr universe- book of earache, and JaySuS Commonwealth Of Modders - The High Sea Caravansery these are some of the mods I use -

OR when in game *if you have FOSE* go in console and type gbo after you click on the character and you will get the base id to spawn. -

How do I find a characters base ID?

hit tilde when you are near em in game, click on em, type gbo and hit enter. then type "setessential [number you got from gbo] 1" without " of course. This will make em unkillable, they will go unconsious then wake up. -
Yah so I want to make models for fallout but i just do not like the setup of blender. I have solid works 2009, a 3d design program I use to draw out real robots I make for robotics at schools and animate, load test, etc right on the program. Would it work for making a model for fallout? what does the format have to be to use it in the geck? thanks

I dont know why people veiw topics and dont hel when obviously they are capable, but I will try to help. I am reletively knew to the GECK also, so my advise may not be completely clear. Once you have created your weapon, what you need to do is add it to the game. To do that you need to go into the cell view window and select a place to put your weapon. When I do not put my weapons in containers I drop them on top of lucy wests house in megaton. To do that, in the cell view window, select the drop down menu that defaults to interiors and find megatonworld. click on this, and a list of places will come up in the little window thing below the drop down menu. Lucy Wests house is located in "megatonplaza". double click on that and megaton will appear in the render window, the blank window with a grey background. By pressing in and holding your mouse scroll wheel, you can drag yourself around megaton. lucy's house is located right and up of where the window initially loads. Lucy's house has a walkway on top. now zoom in to the top of the house. drag your weapon from the object window to the render window. once it is in the render window, move your mouse over to the top of it and a cross will appear, by clicking and dragging once you have this cross, you can position your weapon. to get it to sit on the roof once it is positioned, you can do one of three things. 1. press F and it will drop down to some level where another object will stop it. 2. press the HK button on the menu bar thing on the actual geck. (I wouldnt use this because if your gun is too far above the surface, it could bounce off of the roof...) or 3. Hold the z key and drag the weapon down manually. Once it is in place save and load it up in game. Hope you have fun, and understand what I said. :thumbsup: -

yah so umm do I have to find the flux capacitor too? seriously tho, Where do I go to find the nif files? I did a search of the fallout 3 folder, and I could not find crate file, or a brahmin file...

So, I am trying to make a gun that shots various things, such as maybe a sniper that fires a model of doctor li or something like in HL1. I have a brahmin gun, but that nif was created for me... So, can anyone tell me to either get the file I need from the fallout directory and how to take out animations, or someone make a static nif of a scientist and i will credit you as co-author and cite you in my mod? A good tutorial would be awesome too. Any help would be appreciated. thnx

one more question, now that i have the file, what folder do i put it into to get it to show up in the projectile list? i put it into where you said, but it isnt in projectiles...
