  1. Since Bethesda has announced that no more planned DLC can be seen in the future, we can assume that Skyrim has reached its stable state. That is, if a "bigger Skyrim" mod is made now, it won't get involved in compatibility issues with future DLC. There's always a silver lining in everything, I suppose.
  2. Yes!! Finally! An option to become Harbinger without ever turning into werewolf! The Companions is my favorite guild in the game, because they feel like one big cozy family (not the creepy one like Dark Brotherhood), but I always give up joining them because of the stupid "drink this filthy blood and become a werewolf, then you can join our top dogs, other wise get lost". Meh, when this mod is done, I can tell them to keep their blood to themselves.
  3. Economics of Skyrim has not been active for more than 2 months. I'm not sure if the mod is still alive.
  4. The request for a bigger Skyrim has been made (many times) like here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/592269-bigger-skyrim/ But, your idea of shrinking down models is new. However, that's not to say it's more feasible than all those already-mentioned methods, since every landscape models must be done as well, and then there will be clipping everywhere, fixing clipping, adding some more landscape models,... I'm not claiming that making Skyrim bigger LITERALLY (not by reducing movement speed or adding obstacles to increase travelling time) is impossible. It is a great idea for a great mod, but that mod is NOT YET feasible. It's feasible once Skyrim reaches its stable state where no more patch is needed and no more DLC is made.
  5. I agree. Furthermore, different blacksmiths have varied capabilities as to what extent they can improve a weapon/armor. I just hate to make a "blacksmith" character everytime I play because smithing are over-useful, but unlike alchemy, only my character can use it.
  6. Mount And Blade: Warband has THE best combat system I've ever seen in games with RPG elements. To tell the truth, I did not know about Mount & Blade until 4 months ago, though I did play quite a number of RPGs. For a certain reason, I had to uninstall Skyrim for some times, so I looked for another RPG to kill time when bored. Mount & Blade's combat system did more than to help me kill time, you see. It AMAZES me. I cannot bring myself to like Skyrim's combat system after experiencing Mount & Blade's. It has struck me to wonder: Mount & Blade was out 5 years ago, and, not doubt, it was successful, then why did Bethesda not take advantage of this combat system when developing theirs? It adds so much depth into every combat that I'm actually looking forward to playing Mount & Blade: Bannerlord than another Skyrim's DLC, unless that DLC includes a combat system's overhaul just as good or better. I know it doesn't sound fair for Skyrim, because Skyrim has a lot more to offer beside combats, but this flaw along with what they call "conversion of details", which makes Skyrim's map so small and crowded with dungeons not-so-many-step-from-one-another, are holding back Skyrim's potentials. Seriously, I wonder who's the lazy dude wanting to complete an RPG so fast that complain about the vast and empty map of Oblivion, and who's the guy in Bethesda actually listened to that. Thanks to them, Skyrim came out as small as Connecticut.
  7. I created an account but have never posted anything in taleworld forum, yet I was banned a month ago without any explanation. Using proxy doesn't help, so I guess it's not IP ban. Does anyone has this Jawarum email so that I could contact him directly?h
  8. For sometime, I thought I'm the only one who complains about Skyrim being too small and and meets up with all responses like "Skyrim is small but detailed", "You call that small? Clearly 200hr spent ingame is not SMALL", blah blah blah... I agree with you, man :), on every point you gave. The ruins and dungeons in Skyrim located far too close to one another, to an extent that I feel the Skyrim world is cramped and jammed like a theme park (too little space, too many things). I DO WONDER if whoever wrote a complaint that Oblivion world is empty actually spent hundreds of hours role-playing (play the game, admire the scenes, experience the world from cities, forests, lakes to dungeons,... and actually feel like a second life). Well, Oblivion is still small, though :D It is not impossible to increase Skyrim world's size. There are some ways of doing it, but the results depend on each method. For example, we take the heightmap into account (landmass and water area) and pump it to 8x the original size (every cell get replicated and placed adjacent to itself, then fix the clipping), but this will change every cell ID (thus, imcompatible with... every mods, DLCs, blah blah blah), and every other objects must be hand-placed (gigantic task). I fancy a method in which we work on the given world space, but add cells with customed ID between landmarks, dungeons,..., but then the ratio of the original space may be compromised. If that's done, the cities need rebuilt, too, to match original ratio. Either way, it's not something a single man can do alone :)
