  1. woo-hoo! another task acomplished. thanks! funny thing is, today at work, I re-read your previous post and had a moment of clarity few hours later. (of course, that's it! ) then you posted this... at that moment those were my thoughts exactly. Cheers! Thank you!
  2. Hm, ok i got some results but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. The bonesaw is behaving ok (at least it looks like so) when character moves or runs, jumps. But when I crouch (sneak) it deforms pretty much. I'll figure it out. At least I learned what weight painting means. There is bunch of tutorials about that all around. Thanks man for your time. Btw, Tailor Maid tool belt is all red. But my meshes (outfit) ones are mostly blue. ... Nevermind, just wanted to thank you. :)
  3. It's working :) Kudos Dude. U rule! Now, if you could help me out with this one... The Bonesaw is parented but deforms pretty much when character moves, sneaks, jumps and It's acting like it's made of rubber. I saw in Tailor Maid mod (Tool Belt) that Hammers, Screwdrivers and the rest of the objects in the Tool Belt are not deforming but the belt itself does. I would like the Bonesaw to be kinda holstered and be solid just like any other weapon that is holstered ingame. How can I do that? Thanks!
  4. I'm trying to make a custom armor with a bonesaw hanging from the belt. I understand that that's a collision misc object ingame. I import it in Blender. I deleted the collision box. Clothes parent fine with armature but the friggin' Bonesaw doesn't. I see it in Nifskope but ingame there's no Bonesaw. Any words of Wisdom, pretty please?
  5. It can be done via GECK. At first, it looks complicated as hell but, you'll realize it's quite simple construction kit. there are bunch of tutorials in FO3 Nexus.
  6. most of the object/armor problems (invisible, crashing game, f***** up mesh etc...) are related to various software versions of your modding tools. I was having the same problem till I installed these: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30 try it. works for me. In the import/export option panels everything is set to default. and it works like a charm. hope this helps ;)
  7. are you using these versions of of blender/nifskope... http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30 If not, this could be your problem...
  8. I'm glad it works. And about the skin/cloth exports... I read in a tutorial that you need to export skin separately from the cloth and merge it back in Nifskope. But I didn't and it works. Arms in the Wasteland wanderer hoodie are skin, right? But then again, I use my new apparel like a replacer for now.. who knows what will happen when I relink the textures in Nifskope. Now, I need to create my own mod. Cannibal Outfit  . I'll splatter the blood all over *.dds. and for the Kudos.... ah well... some other time. Cheers!
  9. Well, do you mean the scale correction? I think it has to be 100.00 basically I did everything like the other tutorials on this thread suggested (with the import/export settings, I mean). I still think your main problems are software versions. Maybe the newer versions are ok for working with weapons and stuff but clothing/armor are far more complicated objects to be tampered with. I was doing everything over and over and I had the same problem untill I installed the software from the FO3Nexus. Installation of those five programs is like 10 mins or so... give it a try. Just uninstall your existing Blender/nifscripts/python etc and start with the fresh clean install. I'm 100% sure it will work. Good luck!
  10. Ok, thnx. Found it. It was under my nose all the time. For XP users: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30 works for me so far.
  11. Hey, here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/kdnjrzquigw/clothing%20Blender%20tutorial.rar is the step-by-step I made for you as you required. Hope this helps. If you find this usefull, share this with whoever you like. Good luck! :)
  12. ok, man np. I'll post a step-by-step tutorial for you with screenshots on this thread soon. hang in there ;)
  13. check out this thread: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=204626 worked for me. listen to the Quetzlsacatanango. he knows his s*** :)
  14. I forgot to give kudos Quetzlsacatanango. :) Thanks for your help. I was pretty sure that I'm a semi-retard till yesterday... Anyway, this: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=963 tutorial i found very useful and this one: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6107 Have in mind that I started with blender 10 days ago meaning i'm a noob and I figured it out. Just stick with the software versions in the link I posted earlier. Yesterday, I combined Grifters fit jacket and arms, Waldo pants and wasteland wanderer boots just to crank up the possibilities (various meshes, indexes strip/shape data and multiple texture files ). and with a bit of basic modeling, it worked fine. I didnt even make a mod (just overwritten the grifters fit nif with mine - like it is a replacer). And in the blender import panel I set texture search paths to none (i'll post the import/export screens soon). I will try to assign retextured dds files in nifskope these days. Oh, and I exported my nif in the Pose mode with skeleton selected . After I did some testing of bones of course. If its of any importance I didnt use the default skeleton but used the one from the Grifters fit (that was the first nif i imported in the process with the meshes) Again, everything of course was done according to Quetzlsacatanango. Thnx a lot Dude!
  15. Yaaay! I got it! :D Dude, do everything Quetzlsacatanango said. BUT! download all the files from here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30 these versions work like a charm. I was having the same issues. It is probably because incompatibilities of various software versions of blender/nifskope/nif scripts etc... Oh, and just one thing follow the instalation instructions carefully (installation paths) very crucial. In the attachment is what I did in about 20 mins. Without the use of nifskope :) All that with default import-export options. Hope this will help you. Cheers!
  16. Ok, anybody can tell which are the best working versions of blender, nifskope, niff scripts alltogether for Fallout3? ok got it. tried it. works. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30
  17. Tried it. No results. Either the complete armor is missing, or jacket is showing but the pants don't. oh yes, and the armor ingame (grifters fit) is in default pose mode like in nifskope. no animation... Geez... Are versiona of blender, nifskope, nif import/export scripts a cause of this? what version combinations of these programs are most reliable? This is frustrating. Badly.
  18. heh. I'm having the same problem. Well, at least that was one of them. I was doing some merging of Grifters fit and pants from Waldo mod. Either the armor wasnt showing in game or the game crashed at load or the mesh looked like a wrinkled paper from a trash can :D ... I didnt think this was gonna be so pain in the butt.. Needles to say Im a blender/nifskope/geck noob.
  19. How 'bout this one? http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10021 if anyone can do the retexture of red-white stripes on the shirt? or maybe combine the jackets from other clothing mods (wastleland wanderer hoodie would be swell) with those jeans, replace the shoes with "chuck taylor's" or some other ingame shoes... am I the only one tired of the military-style-pants-in-boots fashion? I mean, c'mon we all wear jeans don't we? and these are great looking ones (hmmm, maybe a few dirt stains here and there :) ) u know, I'm aiming for the "regular Joe" kinda look.
