Steam planed all this since 2012 and as you can read they just abondoned it for skyrim. it is stupid to believe that there wont be games with transactions for user made content built in from scratch. Valve got their taste with TF and Dota, they will not stop.

Am i the only one that thinks the 'but i spent so much time on it so i deserve a lot of money for it' argument silly as hell? Most of the mods don't add even 0.1% of gameplay what full games released at 50$ offer yet expect for their mods up to 10$?

Before i donate can i get assurance that the mod wont go onto steam paywall at some future point?

In response to post #24571819. #24571979 is also a reply to the same post. You can't try the mod without buying and you have no insurance that it will work after 24 hours refund protection ends. Imagine trying out hundreds of mods before you find out the ones you like, it will cost you hundreds or even more if you have to buy them. that is modding kill for me and i will just stay away from such games. Anyways i hope that at least they stop pooping on Mod name and call it what it is - Third party DLC

In response to post #24571814. It is just beginning, when more third parties come into play, theres IRS and European vat etc. this will turn into Just another Music industry where if you buy 20$ CD the artists doesn't even get full one dollar bill.

I think you need to license mod tools and mods like SKSE asap. and hit everyone who used them to create mods that they are selling hard with DMCA. Like Wet and Cold http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=429374670 t doesn't even work if you have not installed other mods and he wants 4.29 euros. shameful i say.
