  1. Really quite sorry you feel this way. I'll be PMing you soon so that you can provide more detail about your concerns and suggestions. Maybe then we can better understand and address some of the issues you're having. I don't want to put words in MrNaySmith's mouth, but I will borrow a few: "It looks like pinterest lmao... Who decided that a phone layout suits a website specifically made for DESKTOP GAMES!? This isn't twitter." I think this just about sums it up for most of the folks posting critical comments about your new design. What else did you want to know?
  2. 20%? OK, fair enough. Question answered. Thanks.
  3. I have to wonder.... Is there actually a demand for mobile access and queuing functionality, or did someone just decide it would be a good idea? Personally I can't see it.
  4. How is that for cheerleading? Have I earned my sash yet? Did I make hall monitor? You did indeed!
  5. It's an opinion that became irrelevant once it was flatly stated that the old design would not be returning. Widely shared among the people that post here. Do the rest not care, or just not share this opinion? Posting here is work. It takes time and effort to find the thread. It takes even more time and effort to read all 14 thousand posts so as not to arouse the ire of the self appointed cheerleaders and hallway monitors (who seem to be responsible for at least half of the aforementioned 14 thousand posts  ). So if we really want to get at this information, the way to do it is to add a simple 2 point survey to each page on the new site. Q1: Do you like the new design? This Yes/No radio button type question would eliminate much of the uncertainty regarding the quality and "representativeness" (yes that's a word) of the opinions expressed here in this forum. Q2: Would you like to provide additional feedback to the site admins/owners? Another Yes/No radio button type question that would lead to a feedback page or mechanism where additional thoughts and clarifications can be recorded if the respondent so desires.. Problem solved. That is... if this is actually considered a problem that the site admins/owners want to solve. Yeah...
  6. Can either of you two members think of one or two things that, if you changed them on the site, might make it a better experience for you? There's been some pretty good suggestions I've seen in these threads that even I, who likes the new site, find myself agreeing with and making me notice things that might make it better, too. Well that's the thing. For many (most?) of us, there isn't just one or two things that can me changed to make this mess palatable. It's kind of like replacing my grilled bacon and cheese sirloin burger with Squid Tartar then, when I start gagging on the smell, asking what can you do with the recipe to make it work for me? The answer is NOTHING!. I don't like seafood. The idea of taking a bite out of a squid tentacle makes me sick. And eating raw meat of any kind is not something I even want to think about... much less participate in. Does that mean it can't be improved? No, of course not. It can be and I'm sure it will be. But it's still raw squid... and I'm still not going to prefer it over my burger.
  7. Ummm... you do know what UX stands for, yeah? Here's a hint: The USERS of this site are telling you and everyone what they are EXPERIENCING. BTW... it seems to be 90+% negative. 90% of the posters? Sure. How much is the sample posting on this subject compared with the total userbase? Yeah I understand. If I were the admins/developers, seeing this kind of reaction... which, yes, lead to the kinds of questions we're asking above... I might consider adding a very short and simple poll on every page on the new site... Do you like this? Yes/No ...with the option to add comments. Just make it so easy to express an opinion that you can be more comfortable with the assumption that silence is golden. To minimize SPAM you'd want to limit access to the poll to only logged on users and restrict responses to one per user account. Just a thought.

  9. I usually don't participate in non-game, non-mod discussions, but I'm going to do so, and for a second time in as many days, here in this thread. From a UI/UX perspective, the new site design is clearly a step backward from the old. Personally I find it unnecessarily complex, overly busy without added functionality, and far more difficult to navigate than it needs to be. I will be using the old.nexusmods.com URLs for as long as they remain available, simply putting up with the internal links to the new site because there's nothing I can do about that. If there's a vote for a return to the previous design, please count me as a +1.
  10. Thanks for that tip about getting to the old layout by using OLD in the url. It should be prominently posted on every MODS page banner. BTW, concur with OP... the new layout is atrocious.
