I never said the project is done...

    But it is, isn't it?

By no means is it done. I said I have to sort some things out. When I get everything straight, I will be able to get this project finished, and keep working from there, and like I said, I am still working on it, just not as much as I was able to, and like Kate said, the script and story is still under development.

  2. Ill say it again

    the Enclave is Dead

they died in Fallout 3, there were only a few old geezers left in Fnv

I never said the project is done, and keep in mind that there are still quite a few spread across the remains of America. Our planned story makes it possible.

  3. Have some stuff going on, I won't be able to work on the project for a little bit sadly. I will try my best to keep working, but I can't promise that the mod will be out soon. This is where the status updates have gone, if anyone is wondering. We also still need some voice actors. A few messaged me, and I asked them some things, but still no response.

  4. the reason I mentioned LZ institute guys, is because I'm aware that the enclave is tapped out, hence why they're utilizing synth production as an attempt to bolster their forces

it also gives a good counterpart to the institute using enclave armour in LZ institute, they're working together at a hostile distance because they see technological swapping as superior because they both think they'll get the edge on their opponents by attaining the others' capacities and utilizing it in their own way than the other will get theirs (the institute gets their hands on armour methods because it doesn't think the enclave will be able to do much with gen 1 synths because it's pathetic, whereas the enclave is like "oh man if we can get this we already have armour tech and we don't need muties for pawns"

    just a thought

    it's not without precedent

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molotov%E2%80%93Ribbentrop_Pact#Expansion_of_raw_materials_and_military_trading

We already have plans that dont go with this. Go to Page 3 at the bottom and find the imgur link.

  5. Personally ,I feel the enclave is dead

They died in F3, and there were only a handful of old men left in FNV

The main issue with reintroducing the Enclave is that their military is tapped out after the events of Fallout 2 and more recently in 3.

They still theoretically have non-military branches in operation, such as their R&D and recovery teams, as well as other civilians, but I would not expect them to have trained and outfitted a large standing army (of humans, robots are another story) to replace their losses. That is not a bad thing, as it means that they actually have a need for the type of assistance a Player Character can provide.

I think there was an Eye-bot factory in Chicago that ED-E from NV was created in, so that means they still have at least one robot factory outside of the Commonwealth. There are also a couple of Poseidon Energy facilities within Fallout 4, which could give them a reason to be in the Commonwealth to begin with; Poseidon Energy was a front for the some of pre-war groups that became the Enclave, which is why they had a base on an oil rig, plenty of fuel for vertibirds and a functional communications network which was similar to the internet (poseidon-net).

Anyway, I look forward to seeing how this mod idea progresses.

If you want to go down to Page 3, *SPOILER ALERT* Its called the Enclave National Contingency Legion. The name should be self explanatory(In the case of contingency, they go active, in this case, the main of the enclave being destroyed.)

  6. Alright, so I got all the skills I need, and for now I am going to work on a little mini-mod that prologues the big one. Not going to be much special, but it will have a companion or two, and lead up to the big mod. I will just build off of it, so don't worry about having to get a second one. Just keep it updated on nexus(when released, probably sometime this week) and additions/changes will come!

  8. I'd be game to help out with voice acting, although I have a heavy southern British accent so it may not necessarily be the best fit for this mod.

Best of luck with the mod though, definitely keeping my eye on this.

You can be helpful for smaller parts, such as characters outside of the Enclave.

  9. Alright, update time. We haven't got much work done, as there is not much to do. This is our recruiting stage, and I contacted a great modeler who could make this mod look almost like a "canonical" DLC. Let's hope he will lend his help to make this mod so. I will keep checking this thread daily, if you wish to help/inquire, you may contact me via PM or at [email protected]

  10. Whoa there, greeting. Another Enclave supporter here.

I can see this is a very ambitious project, have you guys by any chance seen the APA MKII(Or X-02 based on Fallout 4 model calling) done by DogToothCG? Maybe you guys can talk to him a bit.

Nice again indeed, but thats not the APA Mk. I/II they looked the same -- they can bee seen on the fallout wiki here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Remnants_power_armor

Everyone should keep in mind, we cant legally just use ports from fallout 3/nv, they would need to be remade, but these last few I have seen look genuinely remade.

Edit: If anyone wants to help out with the APA Mk. I/II, please note that we know that the X-01 is very similar, but still different. We will probably just edit the model on the X-01 a bit.

  11. Hi there, I'm also working on Enclave power Armors, actually the Advanced PA Mk II.

Those screenshots actually shows fallout 3 tex I'm using as placeholders, but I'm currently working on my own to bring more suitables ones.

Also waiting for Nifskope to being up to date, seems we can't import models for now

Great work! Now are they set for the frames?

  12. Hey, I don't know if you still need voice actors at this point, but I would love to help if you do. When it comes to experience, I have, well, none. That being said, I think that this would be an awesome way for me to get started, even if it is a minor role. I have a microphone, free recording software, a pretty good vocal range, and accents and impersonations galore! So what do you say? Give a naive boy with stars in his eyes a chance?

Well there can never be too many roles filled, story wise. Talk to our Voice Producer JTL2(his account name) and he can decide.

  13.

We already have a modeler. If you don't agree to my terms(not about porting), then you cant work on my project. I was hoping you could lend an extra hand, but I can tell we wouldn't get along. Have a nice day.

This kind of thing makes it seem like you aren't really fit to lead a group in making a mod. I see someone who is quick to lash out and is unwilling to accept criticism. I'd hope that you'd think about the way you present yourself in the future.

I've just been cranky lately, so much bad stuff going on.

  14.

Uhhh are you being sarcastic? Like seriously, lol. I don't know where to start but like I've never employed someone or anything... I don't know good rates for this sort of thing, or if it even has any value... I'm actually only 14 so I don't know too much about investments, and I'm not sure if anyone even wants to help, people think people my age just fail everything... I'm going to make the post a bit more organized, and hopefully that would get me some "staff" but I don't really know how to react to this :/

No I am dead serious. I am trying to get more people to understand how to truly get things done. People need an incentive to really want to move forward. Not many but the majority. I think you have a legit thing here, I for one like the concept that you are offering.

I get your point, but I've seen several successful large scale mods that were created by modders just offering their services no matter how large or small of a contribution, so I don't believe that it's the only/best way to "truly get things done".

    Agreed.

  15.

Yeah, APA is basically already in the game as the X-01 armor.

Now this is where I cause conflict, sure, the X-01 is good and all, but its simply not the same. You have to look closely to see differences, but it seems way too bulky, and some differences can be seen quite easily when compared side-by-side.

I am kind of lost on what you guys have been talking about but yeah the X01 is not the same as a MK1/2, they are fairly similar and we can take this into advantage by pretty much remodeling an x01 using parts of the MK1/2, or better yet, use a T60 given that it is the least bulkier APA and just model it to look like both APA's from fallout 3

    BTW jonny

I gave our 3d artist your details he will get in contact with you soon.

Just saying I was referring to the APA as the Advanced Power Armor Mk. I/II

  16.

Yeah, APA is basically already in the game as the X-01 armor.

Maybe it's because all Power Armor was made bulkier for 4 to accommodate the new mechanics? Regardless, you could probably just modify the existing mesh.

Yeah, we still want to keep the look of the Remnants armor in FNV, which is as I said the closest version to the APA, and there is a fan on the back that we want to keep. You can also see there aren't the sort of tanks there are on the back of all power armors in Fallout 4. Our plan is to actually add a new power armor frame, we know the basics of doing that, and hopefully it will go as planned. We just want everything to look genuine, and Bacon is right that we cant port it over, so we will just have our modeler do that. He still hasn't talked to me, but Kenny said he would help, so I am about 99% sure we now have a modeler. I may seem unorthodox, but I feel like this will still work out.

  17. Yeah, APA is basically already in the game as the X-01 armor.

  18.

The armor in Fallout 4 is the armor from Fallout 2.

If you want the Power Armor from Fallout 3, that isn't hard, but porting it is basically not worth the effort and against the law, It would be much easier to build it from a base power armor pulled from Fallout 4 anyways.

If that is what you want me to build, challenge accepted. I will work on it after Nifskope is up and running and fully tested, and I will build it from a Fallout 4 Power Armor base so it can animate when you go in and out.

I've been looking for Power Armor to sculpt anyways.

Only rule I have, if your mod is never completed, then the rights to the armor go back to me.

We already have a modeler. If you don't agree to my terms(not about porting), then you cant work on my project. I was hoping you could lend an extra hand, but I can tell we wouldn't get along. Have a nice day.

I'd like to point out here how rude you're being. It's clear to me that Bacon is not only offering his modeling services, but offering up legal information that would be of great use to you.

And another thing, what terms are you referring to? That he wants to use his model if the Enclave Returns mod is never finished? For a free complete suit of power armor, that sounds completely fair, and not warranting of any kind of backlash.

I will say, however, that Bacon's advice could have been worded better. Still not-deserving of this kind of reaction.

Its not his advice/his rights, its the fact he refuses to do the APA, which we already have set plans for. If he agrees to those terms then it he will be fine.

  19.

What do you need as far as modeling? And if you could kindly be specific.

I was kind of waiting until Nifskope is 100% up and tested for Fallout 4 to start messing with that stuff.

Well I need someone to port and sharpen up the Remnants Power armor from NV, as with the Enclave Power armor from Fo3. I guess just port them to the BA2 format, and give them a bit higher resolution.

    Why?

Not to be rude, but I am super confused by this request...

Fallout 4 has an amazing Enclave armor, and the remnant armor is one of the worst modeled pieces of equipment in Fallout New Vegas... It would look so out of place in Fallout 4...

I'm all up for modeling some new Enclave armor, I am actually thinking about doing the Hellfire armor and maybe some Tesla variations... But the New Vegas armor... no... just no...

Im sorry if I sound rude, as well, but the X-01 is not enclave armor, at least from Fallout NV/3, the Remnants Armor was used by the Enclave after the great war, under the name of Advanced Power Armor Mk. I/II and it appears in Fallout 2 as the Enclave's Power Armor. Our story plans, that I wont disclose in this anyway will use this fact, and eventually it will have to do with a quest. The X-01 has many differences of the Advanced P.A. Mk. I/II, while it was supposed to mimic it, it simply isn't the same. It's first off WAY too bulky, secondly the knees have differences, third off, the helmet is a bit different.

The way they phased through armors was as listed:

    Enclave Pre-War/Early Post-War: T-51b Power Armor

Around 100(Don't quote me if I'm wrong) years after the war, they transitioned to the A.P.A. Mk. 1/2

Around 200 years after the great war, they used the power armor seen in Fallout 3.

I personally don't like the hellfire armor, though we will still be adding it.

Ill just list our plan under a spoiler, so nobody has to see:

We will be using the T-51 armor in the mod until we give a mission where they upgrade to the APA, until they get another quest to upgrade to the armor seen in Fallout 3. It seems bland, but we are going to put some story behind it.
