  1. Looks neat. I am hopeful about this project, but I've seen far too many of these projects be started and then eventually slow down and grind to a halt. I wish you the luck so I'll help bump this, but as I'm not a scripter at all I don't really know how my services could be useful in this mod.

Hey - All the help is still help. Bumping gets awareness, and with awareness I can get people on the team, It says your a mod creator so what sort of things CAN you do?

Alright, on release of the CK, I will be working on a mod that brings back the Enclave, lore friendly of course. If you liked the enclave, and look forward for a mod like this, dont worry, I wont spoil the story in this. In order for the mod to be genuine, I need a small team for these positions:

(!) This means it is IMPERATIVE.

2+ Voice Actors(Male/Female) - Need a good voice actor, 1 male and 1 female, or more.
SFX Creator - Creates SFX, though most we need are in game, we will still need some.
    1+ Modeler(!) - Creates Models
1 Assistant Scripter/Coder - Helps with code, not needed at all times.
1 Artist - Creates textures for the models
Story Writer(s) - Not Vital, but i'm not the creative type

    Current Planned Features:

    • Complete Linear Story-line for the Enclave
    • Full In-Depth voice acting(Player *probably* wont talk, unless we could get someone who has a good impression of both 'Lone Survivor' voices)
    • Multiple Variants of Enclave Troopers, Officers, and handfuls of intractable characters
    • 1+ Companions with full functionality
    • Power Armor(If we cant get a modeler, we will just port it from fallout 3...)
    • Enclave Radio
    • Enclave Headquarters, with multiple different shops.
    • Power Armor Paints
    • Combat Armor Chest Decals
    • Side Quests
    • Intertwining with vanilla story
    • More to come!

I will have addition updates monthly/bi-monthly(HOPEFULLY) and I will have bug fixes once a week, unless I can find any

    Bare-bones of the beginning:

*Please do not expect this will be then end product*

*Before you say, I know it sounds like the BoS Start, but I assure you the story will be different.*

Basically the Vanilla story, but when you go to *Placeholder Name* you get a special radio station called Military Frequency *Placeholder Number* just having something about some deathclaw problem, overwhelming their base. There are basically 3 deathclaws, 3 enclave soldiers, 1 downed enclave soldier, and if you help them, they talk to you. The squad point their guns at you, and the named soldier closest to you tells you to back off, but you can question them/pursuade them to talk to you/get cocky(harsh pursuasion) and say you saved their lives *If this fails they will become hostile until you leave the area, and you have to wait until the second chance.*/back away IF you back away you will still be able to talk to them until the Prydwen shows up, and after then you can still join up, but the squad is no longer there. They relocate nearby, and there is a distress pulser beeping nearby with the one named soldier holding out in a broken house fighting raiders, including raiders in power armor. If you help him, he will properly introduce himself, and it will go from there.

This soldier will essentially be the Paladin Danse of the Enclave, dont worry, hes not some sort of agent or synth. After that point, the story is something completely different, and heres where you guys come in. A story writer would help me with making it an awesome experience, and on top of that, we cant make this good without voice acting, models, textures, and SFX. If you want to help, just email me: [email protected] Just say what position you want, little bit about yourself, and not required, but I would like to see some of the work you can do. IF you can do something off this list, just tell me what it is you can do.

This page will be updated daily. The reason why I need these now, is so we are prepared for the CK release, so we could hopefully get the mod out soon after then.

*Asterisks indicate some important information, or a temporary placeholder.*

  3. You can do that with the console command 'SetActorFullname', but you need a 'Message' value, its basically a 3rd ID everything has. IF you can find that, you click what you want to rename, and type in: 'SetActorFullname (Message ID)' Until the GECK comes out, thats all you can really do. Thats one of the things on my list, aside from this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3446300-preparing-for-the-enclave-return-mod/?p=30915700

  4. game functionality would be a bonus but I'd imagine it'd be far more complicated. how would you embed a debian vm?

Ill make it short - you take out all of the terminal files, replace them with a linux VM, then go into game files and change some info there. Thats just a basic. Have to wait until CK though. Unfortunately, I probably wont be able to do that. On release of the CK I will be working on the Return of the Enclave mod. I actually need some help, so if you want some more info, just find it here!

  5. It doesnt seem like it's under clutter... Anyone else know?

MODEL is at Meshes.b2a>Meshes>Props>Pillow01.nif, just press p after you drop down props.

TEXTURE can be found at Textures1.b2a>Textures>SetDressing>Matress. Remember to generate normal and specular maps after and CONVERT TO DDS! If you dont know how to add it into the game, create a directory in the Data folder called Textures, then SetDressing, then Matress and put the DDS files in there.

You can use Bethesda Archive Extractor, and generate normal/specular maps at http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/

By the way, if your good with texturing, I could use someone like you in a project Im making. Read more here if your interested!

  6. well yeah, I'm mostly just pretty hazy on how fallout's terminals work exactly. is there a robco OS somewhere that can be hacked up? what determines the text that is displayed on a given terminal? the logic?

I can maybe somehow embed a Debian VM box into that specific if thats what your asking, just not with any game functionality :P

  7. [CURRENT STATUS ON PROJECT] Due to some things going on with my personal life, I am not able to devote enough time to work on this project full time to get it out soon. I am still working to it, but I can't guarantee any release dates. I'm hoping that sometime soon I will be able to return to work.

  8. Weird thing is.. I've been using the console to lock the door to my house when I leave and when I get back I'll have a settler or two polishing my power armor. It's like they spawn inside or clip through the walls somehow.

Also, containers aren't even safe. During raider attacks, I've seen settlers go up to my storage chest, take out a new gun then go about their business, and they also like to "borrow" a fusion core, hop in my power armor and then ditch it somewhere.. what a bunch of assholes..

Settlers can go through doors locked without a key...

  9. I'd like the sight/sound of vertibirds to inspire either overwhelming relief or terror, depending on my allegiance. I have no idea how the Brotherhood has any left by this point, really, and it's kind of ruining the impression of overwhelming military and technological superiority for me when I'm constantly ducking flaming debris because two raiders with pipe rifles just took one down again. The only time they seem to survive fights are when I sprint forward to take out their enemies for them. I'd much appreciate a mod to make them significantly tougher to kill; make it basically require well-aimed missiles or mini-nukes to have any realistic chance of taking one down, that sort of thing.

They inherited the vertibirds from Augustus Autumn and John Henry Eden.

  10. I heard some guy named jonnyetiz is going to get on that right when the CK comes out... He didnt say anything about a sub though... If it is to be genuine , he needs some voice actors...

  11. Now I know some people dont like the enclave, but I loved them, aside from being evil, they were sooooo organized. I just loved them, and I was honestly sad to see they werent in F4... Anyways, if someone can just take the files from Fallout 3 for the enclave armor, and replace the t-51 that would be awesome! Thanks!

  12.

There's already a mod out that allows you to rename settlers

    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1951/?

Still needs to use the console. The idea would be to rename settlers in-game without having to use the console (I personally hate to open the console for anything. Kind of always feel like cheating, so I only use it in case of debugging or config and so far, only used it for "fov 100" in more than 40 game hours)

Yes, those scripts DO change the names, but you cant have anything custom like Leroy Jenkins xD

And I dont care about console use.

  13. Renaming settlers according to their assigned task would be incredibly helpful at this point... I mean, Beth implemented the 'Provisioner' name to settlers you assign to a supply line, so I don't know why they couldn't do that for the other, more common tasks like farmer or guard.

I know in the console, you can change the names to something allready in game -

    Steps follow:

    1. Open Console

    2. Click the Character to change the name of

    3. Type in help (what you want thats in game, i.e. for BOS Knight, look up bos here) 4

    4. Then you type in SetActorFullname (code next to what you want on the list that showed up after step 3)

Should rename them, but you cant do anything custom. I want something like BOS Sanctuary Guard

  14. So just hear me out on this one (Yes I know its VERY unorganized...)-

If you can Rename Settlers, use them as companions, and have multiple comps at a time, you can literately have an army of bodyguards... It sounds overpowered, but it would still be awesome!

Also perhaps you can have synths come to your settlement as "settlers"

Perhaps if you take into account what I listed on the second line, we could get some sort of menu to change their looks, or even voice. This can be done all in one debug menu! I understand some of this stuff may be very hard, or even dare I say impossible until the GECK comes out, but I think using them as companions to put them in power armor(For me at least) would be cool enough.

Let me sum up all I am requesting:

    Renamable Settlers/Settlers have names

    Using settlers as companions

    Multiple companions following you

Chance of synths or exiles from other factions coming to your settlement(With full functionality)

Again, I know some of it might be impossible, but I'm sure at least one of these is possible...

Adding: Perhaps expanding borders of settlements too?

(Call me a weirdo but I like to RP with myself... xD)
