It might be helpful if you could list the mods that you are trying to install . I mean i could give some generic instructions but that doesn`t mean it would work . Certain mods need to go in specific folders inside the CookedPC folder.

I have never gotten a silver sword from the blacksmith in act 1 . What i have gotten from the blacksmith is an upgraded steel sword with either red or red blue combo of ores . As far as i know the ONLY blade available in act 1 are steel blades . You can however use the save game editor to add a silver blade to your inventory or anything else that your heart desires as long as it`s an ingame item .

If the boat is in the same place as the Iorveth path then when you reach the Troll lair turn left and press the M key and stay left on the map after a bit the path should fork and then you take the right fork which should take you to the boat . The picture of the boat should show on the map

I`m currently in act 1 and i`ll be doing the Roche path on this play but in my previous plays the stones which highlight as well as the locked chest and locked door are part of the Iorveth path . Maybe someone who has done the Roche path could tell you more .

The gray or smaller white bar (directly above the health bar) is how far you need to go to the next level up Adrenaline is used for finisher and group finisher moves , so when the bar gets full just press the X key and you will get QTE finishers . Not sure about the overwriting of mutagens in the skill tree will try to overwrite and let you know .

It has been a long while since i did the Roche side bit in TW 1 i cured Adda and also saved Anais in W2 but in the end i believe she ended up with John Natalis .

Just completed this maybe an hour ago...before taking the crystal dreams of which there are 5 total meditate and take potions and make sure you have plenty of bombs then use quen and run until none are near enough to do damage to you and then bomb them...grapeshot and dancing star work really well . Same technique works for the "super" harpies as well

You need to pass close to the scholar on the dock walkway to which he will say something to the effect of "Witcher ,I have a proposition for you" or something to that effect to which you initiate the talk button . I don`t know if the incense shop can be closed before you get this quest or not...i`m assuming it can but have never tried it to make sure...that`s the reason i asked the question .

Did you talk to the scholar on the harbor docks walkway ? Did you close the shop before initiating talk with the scholar ?

Could be your antivirus and real time scanning . Try making an exception in your antivirus program for the Witcher 2 folder . Is this W2 or W1...AFAIK you don`t move with the mouse in W2

Sword of Vaclav's grandfather This sword is not actually found in the game, only in the game assets files. *edit, found in the marsh chapter 2 The above statement was taken from the witcher wiki but for me personally i don`t think i ever found this sword .

You need to have both 2010 DirectXinstalled as well as the2010 VC Redistributables You might also try launching the games via witcher exe and witcher2exe You can find the Witcher exe in you Witcher/system folder The witcher2exe can be found in the witcher2/bin folder If you run Vista or 7 right click the exe`s and select run as administrator

Tell me please how many different endings... Gone through 8 playthroughs now and ofcourse made different choices each playthrough and always have the same ending(s). You fight the dragon, meet with Letho and either fight him or let him walk away period. Elaborate please. Cause if there are more endings I would love to know about them. I`ve found 3 different endings to the dragon scene and depending how you play the game it depends on who shows up at the final meeting in the epilog . As far as the main game endings you are right on that .

The quen sign comes in pretty handy and oils that do extra damage help in here as well .

Tips for making a few extra orens fistfighting just make sure when you level up that there are 2 selections for fist fighting selected . I think one is in the strength section and the other in dexterity i believe . Also dice poker is another good way...just save before doing the poker thing otherwise you could lose a LOT of orens . If you haven`t done so be sure and check the notice board in front of the inn . It`s ok to fall asleep at the keyboard but please...no drooling :whistling:

True there are not that many armors in the game...3 total but you can upgrade your steel sword as long as you get 3 pieces of meteorite steel and then talk to the dwarven blacksmith outside the inn . Note that it won`t come cheap either . If you loot the houses and collect everything , the food and drinks can be sold one word of advice don`t collect water...nobody will buy it . Extra monster parts can be sold as well . Silver sword will be obtained later but not in act 1

As laptops go it`s pretty much whatever you`re in the market for .Just my opinion but stay away from hybrids...with those you are at the mercy of the manufacturer to release video card drivers if and when they feel like it , same with single Intel HD video cards...not much bang for the buck . You might consider looking into Optimus technology . That is an Intel/Nvidia joint venture and one that lets you use the latest video drivers from Nvidia as well as having a power saving feature that lets you use a Nvidia chip for gaming and also an Intel HD chip for lesser graphically demanding applications . I know Asus and Dell and Alienware uses them in some of their laptops .

First you need to make sure your laptop is up to date with the latest updates . I assume that you mean when you fight Letho . If you notice the end cutscene he looks at a sword...namely yours and although it doesn`t show it he drops it on the ground and if you don`t pick it up it stays there . Yep you are right in that there are better swords available as well as armor .

Yep it sure can .Until the servers or whatever the problem is with the new forum you can even play without registering . All you need is the 1.4 (TWEE Upgrade) patch and the relevant language pack . Just download both and put in one folder and then run the 1.4 as administrator . If the 1.5 patch is installed as well then you can play without the disc as the DRM is removed . But the enhanced edition has to be installed first

If you are sure that you have 2 video cards (1 Intel HD and 1 Nvidia) then you should have Optimus software installed as well which is an Intel/Nvidia joint venture . First thing you would want to do is go to Nvidia Driver page to make sure you have the latest notebook drivers . Then after installing the drivers try this 1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel 2. Select: Advanced View 3. Navigate to: Manage 3D Settings 4. Select tab entitled: Program Settings 5. Use the "Add" button to find and add the .exe file(s) for the game(s) you would like to use the Nvidia card for 6. Select the option "High Performance NVIDIA Processor" 7. Click on "Apply" 8. Exit the NVIDIA Control Panel

If you click start and then control panel there should be an entry for problem reports and solutions if so click that and then click view problem history and then scroll the list until you find Windows - unexpected shutdown . It may also help to disable antivirus when installing video drivers. You might also check in the CCC for settings that may have changed to keep the game from playing properly .

No demo is out yet and as far as i am aware none is planned or at least the devs are being silent on this topic .
