  1. Everytime I find any enemy npc he/she is half naked and when killed, has a whole bunch of calipers in inventory. I've ran through all of my mods and have actually narrowed it down to francesco's leveled items and creatures mod. When disabled, bandits and marauders have normal equipment once more, when all other mods are deactivated and ONLY that mod is activated, the problem continues. Since the problem didn't exist earlier, I figured that my save file may have been corrupted somehow as I was playing - I haven't tested a new file yet to see if the problem still exists. I've uninstalled and reinstalled francesco's so I figure that it isn't the mod that is causing the problem but for some reason it continues only after i activate the mod. Anyone have any ideas about a diagnosis/ what to do about this? Help would be appreciated.
  2. So I've been going through Elsweyer Anequina made by Iliana, its a brilliant mod, but one of the huge parts that bothers me about it is that you actually have to remove all the borders yourself. Is it possible to go ahead and make a mod that removes only part of the borders, so you can have access to elsweyer, and draw new borders around it? Because its kind of bothering me that I can fall through the world. Thanks
  3. If you uninstalled it you may have to go to your data files and check the .esp. When you start Oblivion, don't click play, instead click "data files" in the box that appears with the music playing. Go down to dlcshiveringisles.esp and check the box. The island should appear.
  4. You must have misplaced either a meshes or textures folder when extracting your mods. Extract the mods again and merge the textures and meshes folders (and any other possible folders) with the folders in your Oblivion data file.
  5. I'm looking for the OBSE based mod that increases the default no voiced dialogue time from 2 seconds to 8 seconds, I cannot find it however :confused: I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction to find this mod.
  6. I found the problem. You have to go through a specific archive invalidation before you can use the colored map. And since the elsweyr map is based off of the color map, the original cyrodiil map has to be first in the load order. I got them both to work now, thanks anyway guys. DT

I downloaded the textures for the Cyrodiil colored map and the Anequina colored map, however, when I start up the game and play and go to my map menu, the colored maps don't appear; its still just the regular vanilla maps. So I'm wondering, do I have to go to archive invalidation or did I just install the maps incorrectly.
  8. I recently downloaded the Colored Map Zipped version for Oblivion, Elsweyr Deserts of Anequina, and the colored map for that mod, however, none of it works for me. :wallbash: Anyone wanna help me out please?
  9. That was assumed. And it doesn't matter whether or not you deactivate the Havok system. If you save with the person dead, regardless of whether or not Havok is running, the person will be dead in game :thumbsup:
  10. I've wondered to myself as I played Oblivion on the PC "Horses are getting boring, I want a greater mount selection." The Akatosh Mount Mod is wonderful, but its got some issues as its only effective if you have the Open Cities mod which also isn't compatible with everything. Plus, its badly instituted in the game since once you download the Akatosh Mount, it gives you a spell which allows you to summon it at any time. The other mount mods i've seen were okay but had bugs. So I'm wondering (I'm not able to because my modding experience does not encompass editing NIF's and textures, animations, and creating mounts), could someone make a mod that adds greater selections of mounts (dogs, boars, lions, lizards, tigers, etc). I would suggest instituting it into the game smoothly, like wolf mounts in Bruma, lizard mounts in Leyawiin, insect mounts in Bravil, and so on. I think this would be AWESOME. Anyone up for it?
  11. 1) On the object window on the left, click on World Objects, then double click on the subsection Static Objects. You'll see the right list on the window fill up with objects. Just click on any one (without having it edit the id) and simply type in mapmarker. The system will open you up right to it. 2) Books are made by editing the base and changing the text on the box on the right. It's HTML format, and I'm not overly familiar with that, but you can find a guide to editing HTML lying around on the net somewhere. 3) To make a corpse, create your NPC and put him wherever you want to in your render window. Select "Edit Base" and change his/her health to 0. After having done that, click "World" on the top menu (the list with File, edit, view, etc), and when you're in "World" select "Run Havok System" and watch your NPC drop :biggrin: . --- Hope this helps.
  12. Seems a simple enough of an idea, but it has some problems. I wouldn't recommend deleting or overhauling the IC prison or creating a new district (fingerprint factor), but you could add a bit to the prison so your new faction has something to work with. Secondly, the idea of a private eye team in Tamriel/Cyrodiil/Medieval times isn't practical. Back then murders went on all the time and nobody cared to look into it. The fact that they have law enforcing guards in the game is already an overly large step towards modern legal systems. But the idea for a new faction like this still sounds sweet. And one quest at a time is a hell of a lot easier to manage than say 3 or 4 quests at a time because you've got to organize the faction. Typically in the game, you go up in rank my completing contracts for guilds. You've got to do a lot of scripting to be able to do this many quests at a time while keeping order, plus the rank system would get a lot more confusing. Parsimony is a plus Overall, its a good idea but needs modification before work. :ermm:
  13. OOO is Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. So if you're getting MMM for OOO and have already downloaded OOO (Oscuro's oblivion overhaul, which MMM for OOO requires) then MMM should work just fine.

  15. Uh, yes, you are trying to be mean :thumbsup: I said "use the red x" because I thought you were editing the script in the CS in which case there actually... um... should be a red "x." try editing your script in there if you aren't already.
  16. Okay, in order to help you i'm going to need more information: 1. How experienced are you with scripting and making quests? I need to know the extent. 2. Do you want the quest to "start" when you open the note or do you want it to give you the first journal update when you open it. There IS a difference.
  17. Well, there are several arena mods already in existence. My favorite arena mod is the Oblivion Tournament mod which you can get here. While its not what you're looking for, I think it'll more than accommodate your wish for a more lively minigame.
  18. I'm currently making a mod, and due to my inexperience with Nifskope and lack of photoshop 7 to edit textures, I would really appreciate anyone who takes up the job. Of course, when I publish the mod, your model will be given credit.   19. Firstly, if you're trying to make a conversion mod with quests, npcs, and everything, I'd start here and try to work my way up. If you're only looking to make the world map, try here. If you want that to be as good as oblivion, I'd recommend putting a decent sized team together.
  20. My characters are typically almost always good (no theft, murders, or evil guilds, always make morally good choices). So, I have to release my stress somehow. I once turned the difficulty way down and went on a rampage through cyrodiil (every city, town (any habitable area) and killed everyone I could find that actually were killable. Took about two hours before I was satisfied. Went through a LOT of health potions and repair hammers though.
  21. Why don't you just use the red "x" at the top right of the window?

A firespell firing at a building and blowing up a wall would be difficult to do because not only would it alter the game terribly, but the nif files for buildings aren't a 4 walls and a ceiling, its a whole building. So you'd have to replace every NIF file and place each part separately manually in the game. IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER, but possible. As for the two weapons hitting and one breaking, that would also be difficult because you'd need to add a new animation and script into the combat maneuvers, but again, that's also possible (I think there's actually a mod that does this already) However, making it so when you hit a shield and your sword breaks is very possible and pretty easy I think. You'd use the disarm animation when you hit a shield and you'd remove the normal sword and add two halves broken halves to the player's inventory, where he/she can then get it repaired.
  23. 1. N/a 2. Construction set, for some reason (it annoys me too), only allows a certain amount of different textures per cell. Your little texture problem is because you have two exterior cells that are linked together. Where the texture cuts off is where the two cells are attached. Apparently, the cell where the texture doesn't appear is already full on its texture load, the only thing you can do is delete some of the existing textures in that cell to make room for the one you're trying to apply to it. I wouldn't recommend that though, since deleting textures from cells is something that could cause problems. I would recommend finding a texture that both cells have in common, that way they'll link seamlessly. 3. As for your npc problem. I'm guessing you actually put him in your render window? Did you just use an already existing NPC and place him. If you did, make your own new one by changing the editor ID and select "yes" when prompted to create a new form. Other than that I honestly have no idea :confused:
