  1. Would it be possible for someone to make a mod that allows items to have any combination of two legendary effects?
  2. By executable you mean the .jar wont open? If the .jar wont open then you should try making sure your java is up to date and is the right version for your computer aka 32bit or 64bit version. If the .jar is flat out not opening then it is very likely there is something wrong with your java version.
  3. Haven't played or modded skyrim in a while so I decided to brush up a little and started messing around making some spells. So I got this really beastly massive fireball aoe thing going but I want to make it so it can also damage the player when using it to give it a double edged sword kinda feel so it can't just be spammed it recklessly. It just occured to me that either I forgot how or never learned how to make a spell hurt the person using it. I'm assuming this is possible through target conditions on the magic effect?
  4. Yes, a little project I've been working on.
  5. Thank you JobVanDam and The Vampire Dante who recently assisted me in other threads. These Bone Wraiths also wanted to say thanks. http://i.imgur.com/VMT9ECE.png
  6. Two things you shouldn't do Install USKP and resume playing a save you made from Vanilla skyrim half way through the game.Play the same save game after uninstalling big mods especially ones that add scripts to the game. The only advice I can give you is to start a new game after you install USKP. Doing the above is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
  7. Unlike abfx magic effects which use scripts to play animations from a .nif a EffectShader is an effect generated by the game. A good example of a EffectShader is the "DA02ArmorShadow" under SpecialEffect - EffectShader in the creation kit. This gives off the black shadowy effect you get when using ebony mail. With all that said I am just wondering how I can use these as permanent effects. Most of them seem to be associatied with temporary effects and my attempts to create anything permenant have been rather unsuccessful.
  8. It's possible deadly monsters still has a grasp of your save regardless of removing it. When enemies are retuned those type of effects tend to linger so I would suggest either starting a new game or reinstalling deadly monsters and adjusting their stats with that mod.
  9. Turns out that it was "SLSF1_Vertex_Colors" although I am not entirely sure how to change the purple to something else. Skimming through google now that things have been narrowed down but no luck quite yet. Thanks for the help so far fellas.
  10. First, thanks for the reply. I never thought about the shaders. Here is a list of shader flags checked. Honestly, I have no idea what any of these do. Shader Flags 1 SLSF1_Specular SLSF1_Skinned SLSF1_Recieve_Shadows SLSF1_Cast_Shadows SLSF1_Own_Emit SLSF1_Remappable_Textures SLSF1_ZBuffer_Test Shader Flags 2 SLSF1_ZBuffer_Write SLSF1_Vertex_Colors SLSF1_EnvMap_Light_Fade I could try a process of elimination but before I do maybe you have idea which of these might turn this thing purple?
  11. Sadly, I have spent hours on this and I can't figure out where the dark purple colors come from. I've looked at "data/meshes/actors/draugr/character assets/dlc01/dlc1soulcairnboneman.nif" extracted from the dawngaurd bsa. I found that line #61 uses the normal skeleton texture "skeleton.dds" and lines #133, #140, #147 use a gradiant texture called "GradPurpleFlame01.dds" but that only affects the bright purple spots. All the dark purple is something else completely. Can anyone with a clue of how this thing works explain where the skeleton is getting it's dark purple skin texturing from?
  12. I am trying to use this machinic to apply other effects but I can not for the life of me figure out where it's coming from. How exactly are animals applying their diseases? The actors don't have spells, they do not use dummy weapons, their races do not have spells. I am pretty baffled here...
  13. At the end of the day the best thing Oblivion had to offer was some pretty good story arcs although I will say I miss those waving trees and grass. The gameplay itself was only decent imo with nothing special to offer. If you skilled up correctly then you win and roflstomp the game and if you didn't then the game roflstomped you. The leveling system was seriously broken resulted in hundred of balancing mods. The one thing though that I really hated about oblivion was the fact that they gave us a third person view for the first time yet offer NO support for it. The animation was terrible and we couldn't use a crosshair... Skyrim improves on everything that was wrong with Oblivion and it shows. It exploded with populariy when it was released and even surprised the devs themselves "they didn't expect the hype and sales it got" as they have said a few times in reviews and such. I play primarily in third person view when I play skyrim because hell its the first Elder Scrolls game to offer such an amazing third person view.
  14. I bought a gtx 670 recently specifically so I could max out all the graphics while gaming. It was a much needed upgrade from my old gtx 550 ti. Although I am aware that there are even better cards out there they are simply way beyond a confortable price range for me. The old 550 ti I would get 20-30 fps with high quality enb settings and hd texture packs. To be honest I really didn't think my new graphics card would be THAT much of an improvement so the best I was hoping for was to maintain the same settings and bring up my frame rate to a better range. I just had no idea... So I start skyrim up for the first time with my new card and to be expected the fps was smooth. Since this first time experience went so well I decided to take things a step further and max out my Antialiasing and anisotropic filtering still rocking a solid smooth fps. Now I have maxed out all the shadow quality and reflection quality settings in the skyrimprefs just to find out the game still maintains a smooth framerate. With nothing more to do it was time to up the ugridstoload to 7 so I went through the process via ingame commands with "refreshini" and double checking the skyrim prefs etc... Next thing I knew It was at 9 then 11 then 13 and now 15... I feel like this could go up higher, but It seems that the only obstacle at this point is the stability of the game. Although FPS is still pretty solid at "ugrids 15" the game crashes at random after a few mins. It seems that even with the insane modding community of skyrim adding such amazing things such as hd texture packs, enb, and many more graphical improvements that hardware is exceeding the game at even the most extreme settings.
