  1. After years of searching, I finally found the (simple) answer, here: http://www.skyrim-beautification-project.com/fallout4/tweaks/index.htm Scroll down to 4. Texture Compression, and follow the author's instructions. I'm running FO4 on ultra settings, with an ENB and Reshade, and I now have 0 stutter or lag, and my game is the smoothest it has ever been. I tested it for 5 hours, going to the most demanding areas on the map. 0 stutter, even when fighting large groups of enemies. Also eliminated any latent texture loads (many of my textures are 4k). As far as texture quality being affected - I noticed no change. Before, even on my high-end rig, the stutters were so bad, that I just stopped playing the game. Turns out, it was the ton of loose texture files, from all the mods I installed, that were the culprit. By converting them into ba2 files, it freed up all the memory that was being constantly over-burdened (even though I have a 16gb GPU with 32 gb of RAM) every time I would walk into a new cell, due to loading all the loose tex files(even those not needed). Hope this fix helps you guys out.
  2. Okay. I uninstalled my follower mod and Dawnguard. I started from a previous save, before I started DG. DG is working fine now. I think a bug fix is different for each individual user. This has got to be the craziest Bethesda expansion I've ever had to figure out. Now it's just a matter of hoping no new obstacles pop up. :/
  3. I've restarted my Dawnguard quest and I'm getting the exact same bugs I've had when I played it the first time around. The Moth Priest keeps attacking me after I free him (even after I kick his ass and he asks me to stop). I can't place any ingredients in the bowl before entering the Soul Cairn. After typing in console commands to advance, I still can't enter the Soul Cairn. Very frustrating.
  4. For all you do, Thank You!!! You have an exceptional site here. Let the whiners keep whining. This is your house. :)
  5. I chose to do a total re-install after experiencing my save bloat, just in case I was having other conflicts from other mods as well. I'm sure cliffworms will come up with a solution soon. His SOS mods are a great addition to the game, and although I do miss them being present in my current game, I appreciate his work on trying to remedy the issue as soon as he can.
  6. I hope a modder comes up with a mod that makes your mounted companion draw their weapon and join combat when you do. As of right now, my companion just sits on his horse and watches me do all the work.
  7. I had the same problem. I installed FNIS for v 1.6 and it cleared up the problem. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11811 Hope this helps. :)
  8. Don't know if this will help in your situation, but my problem was with my character standing on my mount after I'd hit the attack button. I installed the FNIS mod for v 1.6 and my problem was solved. Might be worth a shot for you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11811
