  1. Hi. I'd like a mod that prevents the player from actually dying and instead locks their HP at 1. I use another Kick in the Head and want this so that blacking out is guaranteed and I'm forced to use the alt-death every time. Thank you.
  2. Hi. I'm looking for a way to keep player and enemy health from going below 1HP. Also wondering if there's a way to enforce a max HP for all human NPCs. Is any of this possible? Thank you
  3. I'm curious, how do random encounters work? Do they only begin once you speak with Virgil or are they present as long as the mod is activated.
  4. Requesting again, pls make it. > Die > Wake up in wilderness with no items and stats are reset (autosave overwritten) > All active quests failed > Old body can be found where you died with 5% of it's inventory yes?
  5. Start new vegas. Die. Respawn in random location without any items and all active quests failed. All stats and reputations reset. Find old body with 10% of its original inventory. Die again. Repeat. Can someone make this? I will love you.
  6. Posted this in another thread so I'll just repost it here: "the two mods that come to mind right away are creature-to-npc and zombie world"
  7. Not exactly what you asked for but Only War Never Changes makes your character look a little older every time you level up.
  8. It's relative, but because we can mod in some respect (relative, once again) improve on the base game, some people do expect a higher standard....and there's nothing wrong with that. Taht's just packages brother. There are a ton of sleeping and eating PKGs. If they have the appropriate packages and the appropriate items (type, ownership etc) they will use them. Good point on the communities expectations. I'm intrigued with packages though, what are they and what do they do?
  9. Hi this would be a pain in the ass for me to do by hand so I'm wondering if someone who knows non tedious methods for editing DT's could do it for me. All I want is all armor in the game to have it's DT multiplied by 10, including DLC armors. Thanks!
  10. I think since thats how the reputation mechanic works in the vanilla game anyway people wouldn't be too bothered. But I can't say for certain haha. Here's a similar thread I started a while back that never really took off that explored a similar concept to the one OP posted: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2346119-npc-routines-everybody-eats/
  11. Not exactly what you're looking for but Zombie World might have some of what you want. See it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46850/?
  12. Couldn't trespassing just affect Goodsprings reputation the way picking a locked door usually does? Like if someone sees you break into the General Store at night you'll be shunned by the community as a whole instead of only having to deal with Chet.
  13. Alternatively you can try Hotline Mojave which was a personal mod of mine for about a week, doesn't really work as well as deadly combat tho
  14. the two mods that come to mind right away are creature-to-npc and zombie world
  15. It seems that it's more a matter of personal taste. If you want to perfect every mission with unlimited do-overs and no punishment for dying then that's fine. I didn't even request for that to be removed (I only asked that autosave got overridden because I personally hate savescumming lol) But this is New Vegas, not hotline miami. New Vegas is in it's own world which is depicted as bleak and unforgiving. If I f*#@ up in New Vegas I want to feel like there are consequences for doing so. "there will never be any quests or anything else built up for the player to build any sort of investment in" I disagree with this completely. If death had an actual consequence for the player, it would cause them to accept less dangerous quests that they otherwise would to improve their character stats and get better gear to take on the more dangerous ones. It would make them explore the world more than they would before and give it more time to establish itself. Every questline, even small ones like Come Fly With Me, will feel like it's own satisfying journey with a beginning and end for the player that undertook it (at least it has in my experience playing w permadeath mods). Playing the game this way made it feel like everything was more personal and immersive. Novac was my home and not just a setpiece. Decisions had to be made this way that otherwise wouldn't be if dying was little more than just "reload your last save plz." But again, the option is there for unlimited retrys. Just always felt like cheating to me.
