Recently had issues connecting to the Nexus, with many timeouts and not being able to get the premium servers to work. Was going to continue my premium membership but something changed--called my ISP and asked for a Lineman to inspect the connections here, speeds were suddenly restored to the rate I'm paying for. After an hour or so after the lineman left however, traffic was once again throttled to a 1/12th. I'm wondering now, would using a VPN allow me to bypass the highwaymen?

Settings I've discovered are in bold... sao intensity - Increases the darkness of the ssao. Decent range is 11 to 26 sao radius - Not sure if accurate but should increase or decrease the sampling range of the ssao. Unfortunately I'm still looking for more settings without success, because quality is terrible and I don't like relying on ENB. These settings should also work for Indirect Lighting.

Not to turn this into an anti-steam section but, if you are connected to the internet and have steam installed on your PC, then it is running. The only time steam isn't running constantly, is when it's not connected to the internet. Turning it to offline doesn't stop the application from running background processes.

My wife is sick of hearing about you all. I can't keep my mouth shut, so much praise over the years about everyone here and damn....Boris, this guy is a genius to me, Idolize him too much maybe...but then i do the same with many modders here as well. My heart is broken to see the feuding going on but it's to be expected when $$ is involved. Need me a time machine because like Dark0ne, I feel bad for all sides. Maybe this could have been resolved/achieved without all the secrecy.

Like the point stated in the above rant, selling shaders for an ENB config, while granted permission by Boris, may not be permissive of the shader's code author. Changing one line in a config from .01 to .012 and selling it as your own work, basically a mod of a mod...this to me, is ridiculous. This whole fiasco brings me back to the patenting of algorithms, it's absurd to think that the system won't be abused.

I have this same problem, just started to happen after installing a very large amount of mods at once. I know this topic is older but still very much relevant if the problem is persisting. Going to root out the mod/setting that is causing the issue, at some point this week.

Checking out the new uploads today and one of them is "More grass on screen" with chat disabled by moderator. I'm not sure what caused this but I'm curious as to what and how this supposed modification is implemented. Whenever skyrim.ini or skyrimpref.ini are concerned, it's best to be cautious and give 100% of the details as to not break someone's game. Am I right? So did anyone download this configuration and run it? I would like to know what changes are made in order to achieve distant grass coverage, that hasn't already been uploaded to the Nexus.

Glad that I saw this post, something has been off with my internet speeds in general, when it comes to download. The only program I've come across that allows full usage of my bandwidth is Steam, albeit the consistency is lackluster. 116kbps - 12megabytes/s I've logged my results in the diagnostic forum page.

Since starting out in Skyrim, I've missed Morrowind's spell types more and more. The ability to create massive explosions, sustainable domes of ice or fire, was incredibly fun. As a fan of the Bastard!! manga series ( I was raised on 80's metal bands ) I've been thinking of ways to get some of the spells that are used in the book, into the Skyrim world. High Elven magic is some serious stuff, mostly forbidden and ridiculous on a destructive scale. You can compare it to Auriel's bow when firing hallowed arrows into the sun but multiply and amplify the intensity several thousand times. At one point I had a book containing all of the spells used in the Manga, lost to me now but I'm certain is would be easy to find the data through search engine. This is more of an idea that I keep coming back to, than a legit request, as I can make this happen myself if I can figure out how to create spells in the CK or TES5edit. Just imagine casting a black hole type of vortex at your enemies, that uses physics to suck them in. Or some of the forbidden magic, like Testament which theoretically, freezes a massive area with absolute zero temperatures, creating ice statues of anything it touches....so much more I will list others later. Like I said, just a nagging thought.

There is a mod in the hot files now, that has chat disabled for discussion. I feel it's better to allow people to explain why a text/pdf is or isn't a mod in the first place. After reading the very short guide, mostly endorsements to other legitimate mods, I failed to find any PERFORMAN BOOST guidance. "But the grass!?" Yeah, that's all covered many times over on AMD and Nvidia's optimization websites. There was even a mod recently "Decrease That Grass" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58268/ which already increases performance. Basically the mod in question, isn't a mod or helpful ( in my case and probably more harmful to others ). "At the moment there is a peculiar mod in the "hot files". It even deactivated the post/comment section. Nexus could/should really step up there and "protect" less experienced mod-users." Tascani speaking about this text file in another topic.

Crash happens when player is a vampire, which isn't supposed to be possible as a child drow but taking the belua potion overrides, and then tries to sleep and become a greater vampire. Also crashes randomly when using fast travel. Now I'm going to go back and test again with Way of the monk disabled.

The update worked, I am now able to sneak feed :) Thank you for the fix, Tamriel is now doomed.

Going to try that update, wasn't able to achieve sneak or combat feeding even after getting vanilla vampirism, then taking the potion. 5/5 attempts failed so here goes...

I came here originally to ask the official way to increase my vampirism rank. Now however, I think i understand why it hasn't happened after my 30th victim, I just do not sleep...ever. Also I'm one of those with many active mods that may conflict with sneak feeding and combat feeding, as I can do neither. No big deal though, I don't mind the challenge of finding dinner, there are many inns across skyrim >:) I have one suggestion for alternate feeding, a semi long range spell that rends blood from your target after you've attacked them, or maybe from stealth mode? Think Legacy of Kain.

Started working around the current ladybody_01.nif but I'm having trouble making it appear correctly in-game. Nifskope is killing me here, I could use a decent up-to-date tutorial. ( google seems to fail on that subject )

Easiest fix ever :) Just hold shift+f12 to toggle the ENB and after character creation, enable it again.

Looking for some help or ideas, even a solution to the 13yr old girl breasts that come with the amazing Lady Body mod. It's not entirely about size, need to make that clear right now, they just need to be fully developed and feeling the effects of a virtual gravity.

I had similar issues with hair, doors, weapons, water and skin textures. The problem was ENB 1.02 Tatsudoshi + Anti-Aliasing. My solution was to disable 8x AA in the launcher and the CCC ( for ATi gpu ) I also used FXAA but leave it checked and have only had a slight error with fuzzy edges, nothing terrible like seeing through doors >_<
