  1. Yes, you can... and the short answer is that you press "tab" to go into edit mode, where you can select vertices, edges or faces and then move or delete them at will. The accurate answer is that Blender isn't the sort of program that you're going to pick up on quickly if you've never worked with 3D before. Fortunately, there is a vast wealth of knowledge online that includes videos and and documents with instructions and tutorials.
  2. blove, that is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Thanks a billion. The rest should be easy.
  3. ...so I'm taking my first foray into modding New Vegas by trying my hand at making a hand-held device that can pop locks by hacking instead of lockpicking. I'm not new to coding, and I have already succeeded in making a modified detonator that activates a hidden terminal when the trigger is pulled. What I need to know is whether or not it's possible to capture the object that the character is looking at so that I can test it for type and (if it's a door or container), grab its lock level so that I can apply it to the hidden terminal and then force an unlock back on the door if the hack is successful. I skimmed the global variables, but I didn't see one that looked like it would suit me. Did I overlook one? Is there some other way that might work?
