  1. AHH!! CTRL-A. Thank you !! I had too many mods with CBBE files, and was switching to UNP, but also I switched hardware out and had to do waaay to many graphics updates and didn't want to mess with the micro managing/ it came up with a dialog and crashed on some animations.. had to click through Ignore/I wont whine.. and then it crashed again... but that, thank you, 1ae0bfb8 that is exactly what I was asking!!!
  2. You answered your own question. The best way to start super fresh, is to just wipe the game folder and install fresh from Steam. That will make sure you haven't forgotten any stragglers So.. if I remove my Skyrim folder, wipe it clean, ALL the Mods that I have installed in Vortex will also be deleted and removed from my Mods folder in Vortex? That is what I am asking. I know I can wipe skyrim and start over by redownloading from Steam, the question is Vortex and having a clean "modless" Skyrim so I can redo it all. Well, if that's the case, then uninstall them first through Vortex so you remove all of the hardlinks to the Vortex Mod Staging Folder. So... after re-reading my original post... and what is being suggested, I have no OTHER recourse, than to sit here for several hours straight and remove/delete each and every one of the 180 mods individually, clicking through every dialog that pops up and wait for it to complete? Rinse, repeat? There is no way to do a 'nuke and pave' and wipe out ALL of the skyrim mods I have installed on Vortex in one fell-swoop? That is unfortunate. It will actually take me several days to do this.

  4. Vortex has worked very well for me, both with Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Mods from Nexus as well as Mods from Files have all installed well and I really like the details. What I don't like, is starting fresh. I have a really good Fallout 4 setup that I want to keep, but I want to redo ALL of my Skyrim stuff and start fresh. However, I don't want to manually remove over 180 mods, where it sometimes takes 5 minutes just to uninstall/remove 1 mod!! Is there any way to wipe ALL of the mods for Skyrim at once? I plan on deleting my entire Skyrim folder/files and reinstalling them anyways for a fully fresh start.
  5. In response to post #43221120. #43221395, #43221955 are all replies on the same post. Triple AMEN to that!
  6. new site looks dynamic and crisp! Hope everything is going well and can't wait to see the new Nexus!
  7. I do understand the difficulties in migrating systems... I've done it many times... The key thing to remember, is the time it takes to get a 'feel' for the new systems... There are hundreds of ways to implement... the one I find the best, is to build the new system in parallel, and move services over slowly and gauge the responsiveness. I've centralized systems before, it is not easy, and in some cases, not as efficient... It brings up the old saying "putting all your eggs in one basket"... May make accessing your 'eggs' easier, but if the basket falls, so do all the eggs.... Distributive Networking and auto-replication with content front end, is a better setup... Simply because you could effectively lose one entire site, and still run a stable platform and later, restore the site that went down with current data from all the other sites... I've moved away from centralization, simply because it is not as efficient as it seems.... It also makes isolating a potential bottleneck very difficult... Add to the fact, that it affects EVERYTHING, instead of just a small portion... For as many hits as the Nexus gets, from all over the globe, kudos to the Nexus staff for keeping this much of it going... still don't think Centralizing is the best direction, just takes a lot more time and effort to keep banging at it until it works... Goodluck!
  8. Thank you for replying. But it's still crashing. The game is running a bit smoother than before though. And I can load saves that were away from the temple and had collision turned off. EDIT: Trying to clean dragonborn after a clean installation again i came up with the following lines in TESVedit: "<Warning: Unused data in: \ [00] Skyrim.esm \ [58] GRUP Top "WRLD" \ [11] GRUP World Children of CWTestHold "Avoidance Exterior" [WRLD:0001B44A] \ [2] GRUP Exterior Cell Block 0, 0 \ [0] GRUP Exterior Cell Sub-Block 0, 0 \ [18] TestCWHoldStart [CELL:0001B513] (in CWTestHold "Avoidance Exterior" [WRLD:0001B44A] at 0,0) \ [3] DATA - Flags> <Warning: Unused data in: \ [00] Skyrim.esm \ [58] GRUP Top "WRLD" \ [11] GRUP World Children of CWTestHold "Avoidance Exterior" [WRLD:0001B44A] \ [0] [CELL:0001B4C6] (in CWTestHold "Avoidance Exterior" [WRLD:0001B44A] at 0,0) \ [2] DATA - Flags>" I hope it helps decipher the problem since I don't understand it. EDIT 2: Found the culprit. Looks like ELFX-Dragonborn was causing the crashes. Disabling it solved the probelm a bit. Now i can enter the dungeon and play for somewhere around 10-15 minutes till it crashes again. Where are you making those changes? I know the Papyrus ones in Skyrim.ini, I am meaning the ELFX... I don't know where that is. I've tried several times and cannot get past the steps of the Temple before the game Crashes..
  9. I agree.. i was a bit extreme. Just something that I have been encountering a lot of lately... I know Dark0ne and his team are working really hard, and I just wanted to emphasis that the majority of us really appreciates what they are doing... I know I am not a Premium Member, but I guess it is because of me having to pay for all the entitlement folks out there that doesn't give me the luxury of spending the money I would like to... That's why i came off the way I did. My wife and I work hard, and to have to pay for others and then not being able to spend money on the stuff we enjoy... just erks me... The compensation to me is having a great site become even better and the appreciation to the folks like Dark0ne and the staff who are making it happen... A big THANK YOU to all of the Nexus Team!!!.
  10. I agree.... Actually... those dolts that do believe they are 'entitled' are the problem... compensate me for this... compensate me for that... I breath oxygen so I should get government subsidized housing, free phones, free health care... I shouldn't have to work... They owe me for living.... Meanwhile, the majority has to pay for it... The site will be fixed when the site is fixed... plain and simple... I would rather Dark0ne and everybody keep working the site than respond or answer anyone.... Leave them alone so they can work... When it's all done.. I'm sure they'll ket everyone know...
  11. This is the same thing I am seeing... the site is apparently suffering from DOS attacks. (Denial of Service)... However, that can be remedied alot more than not by perma-banning/filtering the IP's that are attacking it as well as isolating ICMP from the port interfaces of the servers... I think the issue is because the skyrim.nexusmods.com website is only allocated so much bandwidth and it is currently over-subscribed....
  12. Is the "504 Gateway Timeout" error related to the upgrades??? I keep getting those when getting on here.
  13. I'm only changing some text lines between quotes.... (Spell correcting) some mods. I am not making any other changes to the mod, its just I am OCD when it comes to mispelled words or bad wording of something. I open the .esp file for the mod, find the script line and just edit what is in between the quotes.. Nothing I do lets me SAVE the changes and recompile the scripts... Any Ideas?
  14. I have not found a mod that does that either. I know very little about modding, but know something about realism/immersion of the genre to know that people knew what time it was. I knew a native american who could tell the time within 10 minutes of actual time. Having an in game time on the HUD would be great. I know that hitting "T" for wait will bring it up, but even then, with some mods, doing that a lot causes freezing and you have to wait for dialog boxes to appear/disappear.
  15. I at least hope you got to enjoy your Vacation, Dark0ne. The DLC for PC took us by surprise, and I'll be honest, I haven't downloaded it yet. I'll wait for a bit, after grabbing the HD Textures DLC right off and finding countless bugs, I don't want to go through that again.. (Thanks to Nexus and all the HD Texture Pack fixes ). I really need to backup my downloaded mods and reinstall everything.
