  1. I knew there should have been a mod out there. If you combine the two mods that you have, the one that applies the keywords so you can get the perks and then the one that changes the helmet to circlet, this mod should allow you to get the benefits without needing a helmet. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60234/?

    Emphasis on should as I have not tested, just going by the logic of what the mods claim to do.

     

     

    Hmmm... Took a look at it. And if i'm understanding it correctly, the mod rebalances the matching set bonus. So if i'm not wearing the helmet, or if the helmet in my case doesn't affect the matching set perk, i'll get 15% out of the 25% bonus. So i will get the bonus, but it's neutered... :mad:

     

    I mean, it's something. But it's still not a complete solution. I've messaged the mod author to confirm if it's just on my end, or if he really done-goofed and overlooked the Armor of the Old Gods. :laugh:

  2. Modify the condition on the perk so that the requirement for exactly 4 pieces is >= 3 instead of == 4

     

    If you have SSE, this mod performs a similar edit tho it only changes it to >= 4

    You could open it up in xEdit or the SSE CK to see what was edited so that you can locate what needs to be edited in the original Skyrim CK or xEdit.

     

    Failing that, you could try adding the appropriate material type keyword to the circlet. As long as you have exactly four armor pieces with the correct keyword, you should get the perk benefits.

    Installed it, but it doesn't work for the Armor of the Old Gods... I can't believe the author overlooked that. As for creating it myself... I have absolutely 0 capability when it comes to creating mods. I only assumed it was because of the other mod i had installed. But it apparently isn't. The mods actually are supposed to work together. When wearing regular forsworn armor at least. As for the Armor of the Old Gods. Looks like it doesn't work for some stupid reason....

  3. Usually when i'm around water, i get this black artifacting on the bottom of my screen. Usually takes up the entire width of the display. ONLY happens when i jump, oddly enough. Can't be GPU heat. Nothing's really changed. Other than a problem i had before, which was a problem with Crash Fixes. I forgot i had ENBoost working, along with Crash Fixes. So i completely uninstalled Crash Fixes. Game runs even better now.

    But why the black flashing on the bottom of the screen when jumping? Pretty annoying and i see no reason for it.

    Found the solution and fixed the problem..Oh, my. I'm so embarrassed! I found another person on another forum with the same problem. He mentioned his problem was with Crash Fixes. And it sounded SO familiar! I remember i did the ENBoost method with my Skyrim install to boost and optimize performance. But i kept looking over my MO and load order. I didn't SEE any "Crash Fixes" install. Then it hit me... wait. This is configured around an .ini file. So i go into SKSE's plugins folder, and sure enough, Crash Fixes is there! So i just ditched the damn thing altogether. I always did find it odd how the ENBoost never really helped me.

     

    I was running ENBoost with Crash Fixes simultaneously. My game was noticeably choppy upon loading the Main Menu. Performance all around has been improved, and no more crashes for CBBE Morphs. Crash Fixes and its sorting of memory allocation was really messing things up. The game is running much better, and i've gotten rid of the crashes. Hell yeah.

    If anyone has the same issue, there's the solution. Look into Crash Fixes settings on the mod's page. Configuring its .ini file. There's a proper setting to use to avoid this body morphing/character creation issue. But in my case, i uninstalled it altogether because i already had ENBoost. I COMPLETELY FORGOT I HAD CRASH FIXES! But only because of the habit of using a mod organizing program. There's no indication it's there! If this had gone on long enough and it faded totally into obscurity, then i never would have found out, maybe! A scary thought... :ohmy:

    I can now somewhat move the sliders. Maybe for a mere couple of seconds before the game crashes. I ran texblend because my vampire character has a bad neckseam. Now i have white bodies on all my female characters. No idea how that happened. There's a nice gradation on the lower neck and above for skin colour.

    Gonna uninstall CBBE Skin Texture V2 V3 and see what happens. Now i don't know how to fix this, either.

    Alright. I'm back to where i was. Reinstalled CBBE. Re-rendered my body; CBBE Slim. Enabled CBBE morphs, and it's there. I'm back to where i am. CBBE morphs cause the game to crash on ONE character.

     

    Why?

  6. My game crashes literally only on ONE character when trying to change the CBBE Morph sliders in Racemenu. Only on my Vampire Lord character. The others, i can continue to customize to my heart's content.

     

    Why is this?

     

    Oh yeah. The LO. Although i think this may not be the problem. But i live in hope.

  7. Why not Arthmoor's mod "Run for your lives" and "When Vampires Attack" (naming might not be exact, but the author is Arthmoor). 2 very popular mods.

    Both mods instruct nearby NPCs to go "home" or go to an "interior cell" until the attack is over (really! this is how Bethesda should have done it from the beginning). These mods cured my dead NPC problem; haven't had any killed NPCs since.

     

    Yeah. I came across that several times. I don't know why the hell i never did this before... Thanks. I'll try it out a bit later.

     

    Oh, and which quest mods are best? I hear Falskaar is awesome. Should i start Falskaar on my new character, or my very first character with 150+ hours? :D

  8. Solution is simple, don't start the dragon spawning issue by never doing the quest to fight the very first dragon.

     

    There are hundred of better written story quest mods that will replace the boring as hell main quest storyline.

    I tried that for a time. I've been playing for 12 hours and finally thought it was time to initate the main story quest. Not much of a solution. Stay away from part of the game? And if you want shouts? Too bad? And what are the best story quest mods? I know about Falskaar. And hear it's awesome.

     

    Found a great mod that takes care of surprise attacks from vampires, dragons ect.. You can also make anybody essential aka can not die...or you can remove anybodies essential markers and they can die in game.. there are a lot of things that can be done via the MCM menu with this mod... google "skyrim manipulator" This is a mod that is in my load order every game as I believe it ranks up there with any utility made..

     

    I tried searching for it... It's not on the nexus?

    It let's you customize random encounters and quests - and among other things vampire and dragon attacks. I also hate those damn overpowered vampires killing everybody in sight. I like my people of Skyrim - even if not all of them are great fighters...

     

    Would this be considered the best mod for this?

    Oh yeah. And why can't i access the DeadBody Cell thing? It's a good way to know which NPCs are dead.

     

  9. The title summarizes things pretty well. I'm tired of the random dragon spawns. Tired of random vampires attacking villages/settlements/towns. And resurrecting people is like work. And to boot, if the body is gone, i can't access the Dead Body Cleanup cell at all for some reason. I have no idea why.

     

    Are there any mods to get rid of the random, arseclown dragons? They're just too much. The dragons especially are random NPC killers.

  10. in XPME MCM make sure you have your animations selected.

     

    I use DSR too but am far from an expert on it. But for me the drawing and sheathing animations wont work unless you configure the MCM for XPMSE.

     

     

    Yeah. I never touched that since installing the mod almost a year ago, or close to it. I left everything on defaults except shields on back. I hate how it looks.

     

    Dual Shield Sheath option is checked on by default. I really can't see the problem here being with XMPSE. Then again, i have no idea what the problem is and can't really start guessing.

     

    DSR just failed on me, randomly.

  11. Dual Sheath Redux isn't working properly anymore. I noticed i'm sheating one weapon instead of two. Drawing, actually. I ran FNIS again and rebuilt the patch. I loaded my game, and it started working again... the first attempt. Then every other time i draw/sheath, it stops working right after the first time. Pretty annoying. I don't know what could have caused this. The only things i've been modding are hair, some body paints for Racemenu. That's it. Nothing for animations. Not ever. Other than DSR.

  12. Hey all. So, this may not be a "Killer Mod", that's for sure. But this would be a very simple mod, for a rather complex game. Fallout New Vegas allows for such modularity with weapon use. And I love the response the modders have made to this with weapon retextures/remodels. I was extremely excited to find that the "A Better Caravan Shotgun" mod existed. I was then really disappointed that there was simply no .esp that also changed the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun's appearance so it, too looks proper; without the screw, and without the rust. I figured it would be far more logical for the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun to make use of a different model which actually makes it look as if it's... well, sturdy! Ever since i acquired Dinner Bell, i haven't looked back at the ugly duckling... But i do miss using it.

    I'm actually surprised this hasn't been done yet. People on the mod page for "A Better Caravan Shotgun" have been asking for it. I'm glad I'm not the only one. From my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), this would be a very small amount of work on the part of the modder. If anyone here would have the willingness to perform this task, there's no doubt plenty of people will find it really appreciative, never mind me. I ran into a problem with some mods, and it was suggested that I use the GECK to solve the problem. An actual modder stepped in and was kind enough to make the adjustments for me. I simply don't have the know-how and most definitely am not a modder. If anyone out there can do this, it would only add to the modularity of the game. The unique Caravan Shotgun variant deserves this option! It's simply unfair...

  13. Hey folks. So i've finally leveled up and took my nearest opportunity to choose the Almost Perfect perk after installing a mod that adds it into the game; a mod everyone is familiar with from Fallout 3. One of the main reasons i took it is so i could get more implants from Dr. Usanagi. Everything has been raised to 9, now. Including Endurance. Yet i can't get any more implants installed. What's up with that? Shouldn't i be able to?

  14. Computer problems? You mean Fallout New Vegas problems caused by seemingly nothing and yet requires knowledge of development tools problems? No. And one person was kind enough to help me seeing as they offered it in the first place, knowing that in this particular, rare situation, development tools which they are knowledgeable about are required to solve the problem. I've been in pretty bad situations modding other games, and i've helped myself 90% of the time, so long as there is a solution that can be reached using basic modding knowledge. But development tools, that i'd literally have to study for days? I don't think i'm going overboard saying this is excessive. And i sure as hell didn't start this thread with a title saying "Someone needs to fix my problem for me". This forum is here for help, no?

    And for the record, using the GECK may not even be a part of the solution for all we know. Someone other than the GECK expert suggested that in the first place. But all i'm finding is confirmation that WMX does allow attachments on ALSID. But no one who's experienced my problem. Read the WMX FAQ. Weapon not moddable? Most likely a conflicting mod of the same nature. Load WMX last if necessary. Did that. Still doesn't work.

     

    I haven't been sitting here with my thumb up my ass, waiting for someone to fix this for me, because they sure as s#*! aren't at my PC, now, are they?

The second one, i'm just selecting the unique variant (A Light Shining in Darkness), with the message displayed, saying it can't be modified.

  16. I think I installed it correctly. I noticed that all esp files live in the Data folder. So I just moved it there. I loaded MO, it shows up in the right panel under Plugins. It's loaded dead last.

     

    Josh's gun still won't accept mods.

     

     

    And I've been dealing with this GARBAGE forever on this forum, I'm sorry. I even switched browsers. But WHY THE HELL is it so difficult pasting/accessing text from your clipboard. I just thought it was Internet Explorer being whoopty. So I switched to Chrome just because of this forum. WTF!?

    I just tried attaching it, but it goes well beyond the 1000KB limit. My save is 7MBs. Even compressed as much as possible, it's just too damn large.

    Could we perhaps use some sort of other means of sending it?
