It's working! I loaded up a log viewer that could view files bigger than 1GB, and I found out that 99.999999999% of that log file was the same line, over and over again: "MASTERFILE: Unable to find form (56017185) on list form (5C00473E)." So, I just disabled the mod ID 56 in my load order, which turned out to be Ambient Temperatures, and the game loaded up!

Well, I did the fixing of the sorting, got all the boxes to green, rebuilt the patch.. And it's still doing it. No change whatsoever. I also cleared the FalloutNV_Error.log and ran the game one time and checked it again - over a gigabyte after a single run. I couldn't find the nvse_error.log, but the nvse.log only has: NVSE runtime: initialize (version = 5.1.2 040020D0 01D31D0017E7E3B5) imagebase = 00400000 fallout root = D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\ config path = D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\NVSE\nvse_config.ini Should I just give up and wipe back to vanilla and start over? I tried moving things around in Wyre to get rid of orange checks, but most of them just disagreed on what order the DLC should be in (I couldn't please all of them). Speedfan reports no problems, and when I tried running with nothing else on (no antivirus, steam offline, etc) there was also no change.

I'm using the 4GB patch, yes. I did the ghosting thing and rebuilt the patch, but there has been no change. It now get to the main menu background, but then it goes unresponsive again and never loads the actual menu. I also ran through the checks suggested by the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide, to no avail. I'm not missing any masters, and I've re-run LOOT more times than I can count. Hey there y'all, I just recently finished following the "Fear and Loathing in New Vegas" guide, including doing all the bash tag generation and creating the bashed patch. But when I start it up, the music starts playing and I'll sometimes see the first slide, but then it goes nonresponsive and doesn't do anything else. The process is still working in task manager using CPU and HDD, but it hangs on nonresponsive no matter how long I wait. My first person camera is acting weird. It was fine earlier today. I installed a few mods, but I uninstalled them again after seeing this issue, but it didn't fix it. EDIT: Removed all HUD mods, and all Pipboy mods, no change. I thought it might be an animation problem, so I removed all animations, but that didn't change anything either. EDIT2: I kept experimenting, and apparently it's my body replacer somehow? This is weird, it's never done this before, and I've always used this replacer (Type3 nonnude).

So, I've decided to try my hand at modding, and the first project I wanted to tackle, was fixing some issues with a race mod made by Ganonmaster for an Asari race that I want to do for my personal use. The mod looks fine most of the time, but there are a few issues I'm trying to fix so I can use it. http://i.imgur.com/LEhCF.png I was wondering, can any of you tell me why the head-tentacle hair thing is almost black instead of looking like the rest of the skin when in that light? And also, does anyone know of a way to remove completely the ear? or at least to hide it? Any help in this would be appreciated.

I was thinking about it, and I realized that a race that would work very well in Oblivion, is the Asari (people who've played the game Mass Effect know what I'm talking about). Its a race that is 100% female A mono-gender race—distinctly feminine in appearance—the asari are known for their elegance, diplomacy, and biotic (Magical) talent. Their millennia-long lifespan and unique physiology—allowing them to reproduce with a partner of any gender or species—give them a conservative but convivial attitude toward other races. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs27/i/2008/113/b/d/Asari_Candice_by_BrainTreeStudios.jpg As you can see, they are humanoid, with the differences being blue skin (very rarely, teal, green, or purple skin), and those head-things (called on the wikia article "wavy folds of sculpted skin"), Many of them have some subtle facial markings. After finishing the main quest, after the little ending video plays, it goes back to my character laying on the floor of project purity, staring up, like it is before the video. and nothing else. Broken Steel isn't working properly :wallbash: can someone tell me how to fix this problem? :confused:

Alright, I'm just getting started with this whole modding bit, and I wanted to extract some of the vanilla armor and weapons to do some editing and tweaking and experimenting, and I was wondering how to extract the models and textures from the game, and get them into a 3d modeling program? because I can't figure it out :confused:
